Dragon Ball Human

Chapter 24: Chapter 24: No more no one

Yamiru was actually able to forcibly overcome Blue's superpower, slowly yet arduously making his way toward Blue.

This completely shocked everyone present.

As for the members of the Red Ribbon Army, they were particularly stunned. They had chosen Blue specifically for his powerful super abilities and personal strength, secretly sending him an invitation to join.

The Leopard Head man, who had been following Blue as a subordinate for years, had more confidence in Blue's superpower than in his own often unreliable abilities. Seeing Yamiru move after being caught in Blue's superpower, it felt like he was witnessing something supernatural.

And if there was anyone who had the most confidence in Blue's abilities, it was, of course, Blue himself! Ever since he awakened his power to control others with his gaze as a child, he had been invincible.

As long as he used it, the battle was over.

Even those stronger than him, if they made the mistake of falling under his power, would be paralyzed, unable to move, and left at his mercy.

Was there anyone his superpower couldn't defeat? If someone had said so just a few minutes ago, Blue would have spat in their face. But now, Yamiru, who had clearly fallen under his superpower, was still moving—not only moving, but walking toward him! Could this not cause Blue to be shaken to the core?

And actually, Yamiru himself was equally shocked...

'What the hell?'

'What the hell, what the hell??? Why can I move??? Am I... stronger than Son Goku now? Wait, wait, wait... Did I just say "What if I want to move?" That was just some brainless tough talk, wasn't it…?' Yamiru was confused himself.

He recalled, and realized that his mind had been nearly empty earlier, with only one simple, pure, and not-so-lowbrow thought: 'I'm in so much pain! I'm done being a no one! No more, no more, I won't do it anymore! Being a no one has no dignity!'

Yamiru had never been beaten so badly in his two lifetimes combined.

And he was getting beaten to this extent! His skull was cracked open, blood was flowing everywhere, and... it really hurt!

To be honest, just now, he had genuinely panicked for a moment. In the instant he wondered if his skull had been shattered, he thought to himself...

'Could I just be done for?'

Yes, he had considered the possibility of becoming a no one at some point, but he never imagined it would happen so quietly and without warning. And the reason he wanted to be a no one was to stay far away from those superhuman types, right? The closest he'd imagined to his own demise was decades later, during the "Buu Saga". The intention behind becoming a no one was always to live peacefully and calmly, jumping around in a relaxed state.

Who would want to be a no one and still suffer such an unexpected disaster? Isn't that just bullying?

If he had to die, at least let it be at the hands of some Dragon Ball boss! At least then he could comfort himself a little by thinking: 'I wasn't born a Saiyan, what could I have done?'

More importantly, if he died in such an inexplicable way, he wouldn't even be able to ride the wave of the Earthling collective resurrection...

If he died, it would truly be in vain...

To say that Blue's punch was more straightforward and violent than the mysterious old man in the park would be an understatement. It knocked Yamiru senseless and woke him up:

'This isn't the Earth I knew anymore, wake up! You've already been here for five months! The Earth in this world has animals, monsters, demons, and even villains stronger than you by several times!'

'Even if nothing is done, disaster will always follow, and I... I don't want to be the helpless, unlucky one.' The pain in his skull, as if it were going to explode, vividly taught Yamiru this lesson.

It was with this self-reflection that he managed to rise from the ground.

And after being once again bound by Blue's superpower, Yamiru actually managed to break free from the paralysis-inducing force. This was something he himself hadn't expected.

Tonpo, pretending to be dead by sticking his butt out, secretly opened a slit in his eyes and, from beneath Blue's legs, saw Yamiru—blood streaming down his face, his eyes glowing gold amidst the bloodstains.

'So bright! His eyes seemed even brighter now!' Tonpo stared, stunned. Suddenly, he wondered if Yamiru was signaling him. Was he trying to tell him something? Tonpo widened the slit in his eyes, and Yamiru's golden eyes seemed almost to speak, so clear, bright, and lively. Just a glance was enough to make Tonpo feel a sense of unspoken understanding... Blue, this perverted bastard, was not only afraid of women but also terrified of mice!

"Hey, hey, boss... he..." Leopard-Head, seeing Yamiru moving steadily step by step, began to worry.

"Damn guy..." Blue was furious. His proud superpower had been cracked, and it felt horrible—like his most valued possession had been stepped on and soiled. Yamiru's face began to look even more detestable. Blue's eyes gleamed again as he activated his power, and the struggling Yamiru's body immediately stiffened. Blue let out a low growl and rushed forward, punching Yamiru in the stomach.

"Ugh..." Yamiru's eyes bulged, his body curling in pain as if his organs were being twisted apart. His vision blurred, and he was on the verge of collapsing. Just before he lost consciousness, he gritted his teeth, dragging his shoe along the ground. Though his body trembled and his back bent, he still didn't fall.

"Hehe..." Yamiru looked up, giving Blue a sideways glance, his lips curling into a defiant smile.

"Still laughing? What's so funny!" Blue, feeling a little creeped out by Yamiru's gaze, kicked him again with a sweeping leg. "You think it's impressive just because you cracked a tiny bit of my superpower? I can still kill you without using it!" Blue walked over quickly, grabbed Yamiru by the ankle, and with a powerful twist, threw him. Yamiru spun through the air, landing face-first on the ground.

The pain in Yamiru's nose felt as if it had been shattered, the heat surged to the top of his head, drilled into his eye sockets, and rolled down his throat, making him cough and spit blood incessantly.

"Damn... damn it!" Tonpo, unable to watch any longer, instantly transformed from a woman with her buttocks raised into a huge rat!

"A... a rat?!" Blue screamed in horror. Tonpo, now a giant rat, crawled past the prone Yamiru, who suddenly reached out and grabbed the rat's tail. Yamiru pulled Tonpo back, using his other hand to support himself on the ground, his face dripping with blood as he slowly got up.

"Cough!" He spat out more blood and weakly said, "What's the point of turning into such a big rat?"

"Is this... magic transformation? How did you know I was afraid of rats?" Blue glared at the rising Yamiru with a mixture of anger and fear. When he saw the giant rat Yamiru was holding, he didn't dare to get any closer. "But... if this is just some magic transformation, then... I'm... I'm not afraid of it!"

"Heh..." Yamiru's face, covered in blood, cracked into a wide smile, revealing his big white teeth. He was smiling, but there was a calmness in his expression and voice that made others uneasy. "You know\... whether I make it through today or not, I want to thank you. If it weren't for... this really hurts!!" Yamiru paused, his eyes flashing with golden light. "My life up until now has been too peaceful. If I hadn't met someone like you... Well, forget it, there's nothing more to say to you!"

"Yamiru, you need to run!" the fat rat Yamiru was holding whispered urgently.

"Run? You two are dead today," Blue said coldly, signaling to the Abe, thr Leopard-Head, and the Red Ribbon Army behind them. "Get that damn rat out of here!"

"This..." Leopard Head wanted to move forward, but he had been thoroughly beaten by Yamiru the last time and was now a bit scared.

Especially when Yamiru turned his bloodied face back to look at him, his eyes filled with a fearless determination that made Leopard Head's blood run cold.

"Come on," Yamiru muttered, spitting out blood.

"Go for it!" Blue shouted angrily at the Red Ribbon Army members. "Why are you hesitating? Get your weapons out! Kill him, and I'll leave with you!"

'What about me, boss?' Leopard Head looked at Blue with an innocent expression.

"Fine then..." The members of the Red Ribbon Army exchanged glances, then each took out their weapon capsules. Moments later, a variety of weapons appeared in their hands—machine guns, submachine guns, and even a large man with a rocket launcher, resembling an RPG.

"Hey! Hey!" Tonpo, now in rat form, struggled desperately, her small eyes full of panic.

"Sigh..." Yamiru let go of Tonpo, allowing the rat to scurry away. He collapsed weakly to the ground, his eyes glowing with an unquenchable golden flame, staring calmly at the Red Ribbon Army members as they raised their weapons at him. "I've been lost for five months on this journey of life. I guess this is my punishment, huh? Heh..."

Ding! He took a bloodstained coin from his pocket, flicked it with his thumb, and the coin spun. The sky behind him alternated between bright and pitch black as the spinning coin fell.
