Chapter 144: Heaven Herald
After the bright light faded, I looked down at myself.
The theme now was yellow. My robe, pendant, pants, and shirt were all shades of golden yellow.
But the most noticeable change was my hair, it had turned a shining gold and grown longer, flowing down smoothly like I had just gotten a rebonding treatment.
"You look like a girl, dude. If you were a woman, I might've already fallen for you," Bob said, examining me from head to toe.
"Another class, Alan? How many classes do you actually have?" Linus asked, leaping toward us to dodge the skeleton's attack.
The skeleton, still relentless, jumped into the air with a javelin-shaped hand, ready to strike.
Seeing the incoming threat, I immediately raised my right hand. In an instant, yellow light formed in my palm and materialized into a spear of pure light.
"Starfire Lance!"
I hurled it straight at the mid-air skeleton.
It had no chance to evade.
Whoosh!
The lance shot through the air at blinding speed and struck the skeleton.
In an instant, it disintegrated into golden particles, like dust, before being carried away by the wind and vanishing completely.
The three of us stood there, stunned.
"That was so cool, dude!" Bob shouted, hugging me from the side and bouncing excitedly.
Linus was speechless. He looked at me, his eyes wide.
What kind of skill was that? It's unbelievably powerful... I'm really glad he's a good person. If he weren't, this world would be in serious danger, he thought.
'If both of them were there during that time… maybe everything could've been saved.'
Linus shook that thought from his mind and approached me.
"I don't know how many times I've said this already, but both of you never fail to impress me," he said with a smile.
I swung my long, straight hair backward. Honestly, I kinda liked having this kind of hair. My original hair was mixed curly, and growing it out had always been a nightmare.
"I really envy you, Alan. You've got so many powerful classes now. Meanwhile, I only have this," Bob said, raising his arms to show the wings under his armpits.
"Don't worry, Bob. Our journey's still long." I smiled, not just to comfort him, but because I meant it. With our current collection sitting at around 60 packs, and each pack containing at least 300 cards, the possibilities were endless. And we hadn't even touched the deck system yet. Sooner or later, we'd get something even better than what we had now.
I glanced at my MP and wasn't surprised to see it had dropped to about 40%. Just one use of Starfire Lance had consumed around 30% of my mana. Thanks to level-ups and mana-focused equipment like Indra, the [Manaheart Pendant], and [Apprentice Robe], my MP pool had grown quite a bit. Still, Starfire Lance was a heavy drain. But with how powerful it was, the cost felt absolutely worth it.
"Alan, take out that one next! I haven't had enough of that lance yet," Bob said, pointing at another skeleton.
"All right. Just leave it to me," I replied, raising my hand once more.
Bob and Linus charged at the skeleton, drawing its attention away from me.
"Starfire Lance!"
Another glowing lance formed in my hand, pulsing with energy.
Bob and Linus leapt clear just as I hurled it toward the enemy.
Whiiish!
The lance instantly vaporized the skeleton, leaving no trace of its existence.
"Bye-bye," Bob waved at the already vanished skeleton.
Now, the place was free from monsters. The only thing left was the Kaoslith.
Linus immediately headed toward the ship, with Bob following behind.
I took the opportunity to read my current skill description.

I was amazed by the description of this class. It seemed more powerful than any other class I had so far except Timeweaver, which I still think is a legit cheat class.
However, I noticed something odd, there was no skill called "Absolute Zone" listed here. That was the skill Alice used, summoning golden swords from the sky to impale enemies. Maybe it's a more advanced version I haven't unlocked yet.
I closed the status screen and walked toward Bob and Linus, who were already aboard the ship.
The ship was made of wood and was medium-sized. The section facing us had been destroyed, exposing its inner compartments. The Kaoslith was located inside.
I climbed aboard and looked at the Kaoslith. Right away, I noticed something different about it.
"Do you think it's a little bit smaller?" I asked. Normally, the previous Kaosliths were at least the size of an adult man. But this one, this one was only half the size.
Linus responded with an answer that sent a chill down my spine.
"Yes. Because this Kaoslith grew from a child."
