Dragged Into Another World Because of My Otaku Friend

Chapter 137: One Man Show

Bob ran as fast as he could before using his hip muscles to launch himself into the air.

"Glide!"

He extended his arms, revealing feathers beneath his armpits, and began floating in the air just like a bird.

"Alan, Linus! I'm flying!" Bob shouted, clearly excited.

Linus and I glanced up and saw an overweight guy floating in the air.

Honestly, he looked exactly like Plump, only difference was that he could fly while Plump couldn't. But if I told him that, he probably never use that skill again, even if it was an SR class. So, I decided to just let him enjoy his moment.

"Winglash Combo!"

Bob dived into the swarm of rabbit monsters below and unleashed a three-slash combo before soaring back into the air. More than ten rabbits were struck by his skill. He then glided upward, then downward again, just like an eagle soaring through the sky, hunting its prey.

"Aero Slash!"

He released a pair of crescent wave slashes in an X-shape from above, causing a huge explosion on the ground.

At this point, it was turning into a one-man show. Linus and I stuck to the edge of the horde, not wanting to get caught in Bob's rampage.

From the side, Githa and Reika looked surprised, to see just three men handling hundreds of monsters on their own.

"But still, they're just rabbit monsters. Even our guards can handle them," Githa said, still not convinced the trio was anything special.

Screeech!

One of the rabbits was struck down by Linus. Suddenly, a group of rabbits leapt onto his back, trying to bite him. But before they could make contact, Plump arrived and used Flare Kick, burning all the rabbits to ash.

Linus turned toward Plump. "I don't know if you understand, but thank you," he said, thanking the chicken.

Plump just tilted his head, as usual, before dashing off again through the horde.

Bang! Bang!

I shot the rabbits from my position. Each of my shots hit at least one monster, as they were all flocked tightly together. I used the opportunity to train my aim and focus on headshots as this was a good exercise. Mina flew across the battlefield, healing anyone who got injured.

Boom!

Boom!

Bob continued his massacre, repeatedly unleashing Aero Slash. With a single strike, dozens of rabbits were slain. When his glide brought him lower, he'd land on a tree, then leap back into the air again.

He eventually landed beside me.

"What do you think of my new class?" he asked, clearly fishing for praise.

"Perfect!" I raised my left thumb while continuing to fire Indra with my other hand.

Bob then looked around. Linus was enjoying his chill time, striking rabbits left and right. Mina hovered in the air, waiting for anyone who got injured. Plump dashed along the ground, leaving a fiery trail behind as he burned everything in his path. Then Bob looked at me, watching as I trained my shooting by aiming for the rabbits' heads.

"If we were a MOBA team, we'd actually have a nice composition. Mina's the support, you're the marksman, Linus is the fighter, and me and Plump are the assassins. Hmmm... really well balanced," he said, putting his hand to his chin. His glasses gleamed.

As we continued attacking the rabbit horde, their aggression suddenly slowed. The swarm started to retreat.

I stopped shooting and observed the strange shift. Linus and Plump arrived back at our location.

"Did we win?" Linus asked.

"Shhhh!" Bob quickly shushed him.

Linus flinched, clearly confused about why he was being silenced.

Bob and his superstitious red flags. I don't know if they're real, but he really needs to stop bringing them up every time someone says something like that.

But this time... maybe he was right.

Before our eyes, the rabbits began jumping on each other, stacking themselves. Then, without warning, they merged. From the fusion, a bigger, bipedal rabbit was born, tall, at least two meters. Its eyes were still red, its horn still there, but now it had something new, its hands were no longer fluffy paws. They were claws, sharp as blades, gleaming in the morning sunlight.

"I told you, red flags exist!" Bob suddenly said to me, like he could read exactly what I was thinking.

We then got into our stance, as dozens of newly evolved rabbit monsters stood before us, all of their eyes locking onto us with killing intent.

And suddenly, three of the evolved rabbits merged again, this time creating a massive, five-meter-tall rabbit. Judging by its appearance, it had to be an elite.

"Why do we always end up fighting an elite one? Can't we just have an easy battle for once?" I said, irritated. I said that because, ever since entering this world, our luck had been ridiculously bad.

"Heroes never get easy fights, Alan. Remember that," Bob replied, trying to act cool like it was nothing.

Linus glanced toward the convoy behind us, which was still moving slowly.

"I think you need to move faster. Things are about to get rough!" Linus shouted to Lloyd.

Lloyd nodded and quickly ordered the convoy to pick up the pace.

But just as the convoy started moving faster, all the rabbits suddenly turned their attention to it. Without any warning, dozens of the two-meter rabbits began sprinting toward them.

"What?" Bob was stunned.

"They're attacking the convoy!" I shouted, immediately running to intercept the monsters. Mid-run, I switched my class to Shardstorm Mage, my current favorite class. Without wasting time, I cast Frost Zone to freeze their movements.

But the rabbits were too agile. Before the ice could erupt from the ground and trap them, they had already leapt into the air, dodging the frost entirely.

"Damn it!" I cursed myself.

Bob then leapt into the air and began to glide, releasing an Aero Slash mid-flight. One of the rabbits was struck, but it didn't stop the group from charging forward. Linus immediately jumped onto Plump's back and charged ahead. He maneuvered swiftly around the group of rabbits deadlocked on the convoy.

Linus swept one of the rabbit's legs, causing it to tumble. I arrived just in time to fire an ice shard at it, freezing it solid.

I then launched ten more ice shards at the remaining rabbits but only half of them hit their target.

Suddenly, one of the rabbits leapt high and came crashing down onto a carriage, knocking it over to the side with a loud crack.

My eyes widened in horror as I shouted,

"Princess!"
