Draconic Awakening

Chapter 16: A certain cultivation

Ragnar let out a sigh of relief as he opened his storage ring and summoned another loaf of bread to eat, shortly after his food surfaced into his grasps and he raised it to his lips and then took a large bite of it greedily.

The sweetness it gave him was nice, but the dryness of his mouth spoke otherwise. He hadn't tasted a single drop of water for a while now, and asked himself why one was not stored in the ring.

He had no choice but to ignore that much knowing he had no source of getting water at this point than melting the ice, and who knew what sort of poisoned drink he would acquire from that.

No melting the ice was not an option.

He had even searched through Hagi's body and found nothing.

No! not nothing, that was incorrect, he did find something...

Ragnar reminded by the thought snuggled on himself, or more appropriately he snuggled on the large fur clothing he had stripped off the hunter and worn himself for warmth.

It was comfortable and warm, despite some parts of the clothing being too big for him, but all in all it gave him more warmth than his original wear.

And best of all, he had gloves, boots and also had attained a sheet of clothing with weird markings he transcribed as a map.

Ragnar Rok straightened his back as he let out another sigh. He had no idea where the map would lead to, but one thing was for sure the map at least would take him somewhere far safer than where he was now, maybe he would find other humans, or clothing, or water.

But before that he needed to heal his wounds a little bit more, and finalize the mystery to the second Arcana.

Ragnar waved his hands out and the information appeared right before him again. "Let's see."

{Arcana name: Arcana supplementary}

{Type: supplement}

"That's a bit obvious, isn't it?" Ragnar asked the oblivious dancer which simply shrugged in reply.

Useless as usual.

He continued to read the information of the Arcana.

{From the depths of the fallen demon Fang Zhen, the thief of glory, and the stain to honour, you have been blessed with the cultivation of Primordial Dragons}

The young Lord's eyes grew wide in astonishment, this was truly baffling. His situation had gone from unbelievable to impossible within seconds.

Ragnar could not help but let his calm composure be broken a little by the realization; it took a while before he could get himself back together.

Firstly, the fact that the system recognized his first life titles was the initial shock of the text. If what he read did not betray his eyes then this proved how mysterious his existence here in this world of Arcana was.

And the second thing was something also dimmed more impossible than having a second Arcana, but getting a cultivation.

Usually cultivations could only be gotten after the first realm when they became Awakened humans, but he was getting one now, just a day into his realm travels.

Truly impossible.

He pressed forward for better Information on the Arcana from the system and it immediately displayed more:

{Cultivate draconic energy to increase the strength of oneself.}

{Draconic imp: 1/20}

{Talents: flame burst

*Backlash: internal heating}

Raganr's face was instantly enveloped by a strange glee, he rose to his feet as quick as he could trying his best to ignore the pain and rattling of his bones. opening his left palm and directing it at the opposite wall of the cave, he hoped for the best and activated his new Talent by instincts.

To his surprise, surpassing expectations, a burst of red searing flames exited his palms with a powerful shot at the cave walls.

The impact of the ball of fire was devastating and sent parts of the wall flying off with small grim rocks towards the ground with grit to follow.

It was a powerful blow, although, with it's power came an equal backlash.

Ragnar gritted his teeth as he felt a sharp pain within his left hand dropping his gaze to his palm he could see the burn marks from the flame he had shot out, not evident by clear to he would had blasted out the scorching beam.

"The body of a dragon should be needed to control dragon fire... I guess," he thought going back to take his seat.

Now he had to heal from this pain as well.

What harrowing good luck. He mused.

While sitting there in the cave he continued exploring his system information and eventually stumbled upon his new ember mark.

It was a weapon, a short sword that was created from a blue like metal with a abnormal craftsmanship.

The description of the weapon.

{A short weapon for a man of so little honour. Size shouldn't be the problem as long as they both have shortcomings}

Ragnar frowned, 'What is with you and my honour.'

{This blade can Inflict bleeding effect on enemies, if attacked directly to the throat or gut.}

How brutal was the attribute? Ragnar exhaled, 'it's a really nice attribute, unless I go up against a realm beast with none of those two properties and then I'll actually have to kill it honourably as the system wants.'

Ragnar lingered for a moment and then he turned to the dancer with a request in mind.

If he was going to be in this cave for a while, he needed to gather as much information as he could about this place.

And find out what or where the map from Hagi led to.
