Douluo: Unrivaled God General, Fooling Qian Renxue at the Start

Chapter 63: Chapter 63: The Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well

At the foot of Heaven Dou Royal Academy, Nan Feihuang had changed out of his uniform, wearing his own casual clothes as he prepared to leave with Dugu Bo. A small crowd had gathered to bid him farewell.

Although Qin Ming sighed at the loss of such a strong asset to their team—someone truly irreplaceable—he couldn't stand in the way of Nan Feihuang's future. After all, being personally taught by a Title Douluo was an honor that no one would pass up.

"Grandfather, you're so biased!" Dugu Yan pouted, clearly unhappy. "Heaven always wanted to visit you, but you refused to see him. Now you're willing to teach Feihuang?"

Though she didn't dislike Nan Feihuang, she felt that her future husband, Yu Tianheng, deserved her grandfather's attention more.

"Hmph, that brat has Thunderclap Douluo to teach him. Why would he need my help?" Dugu Bo waved dismissively, refusing to even glance at Yu Tianheng.

Still bitter over losing his granddaughter's affection to this boy, Dugu Bo saw no reason to give Yu Tianheng any additional favor. After all, Yu Tianheng couldn't save his or Dugu Yan's life, unlike Nan Feihuang.

Yu Tianheng could only chuckle awkwardly, not daring to retort.

"Feihuang-gege, take care of yourself," Snow Ke said, holding onto Nan Feihuang's sleeve with a bright smile. "Don't worry about me. I'll keep studying hard at Moon Pavilion and learn lots of songs to play for you when you return."

Nan Feihuang could see her genuine concern, even if her contributions to his future endeavors would remain limited. Gratitude welled in his heart.

"Thank you, Princess. Don't worry; I'll visit often," he assured her warmly. In his mind, however, he was already planning how to repay her in the future.

Once he secured the herbs he sought, he'd prepare something for her—perhaps not a miraculous celestial herb but certainly a rare elixir to ensure her health and longevity. Yet he decided to wait until Heaven Dou's political matters stabilized before gifting it to her.

Giving her something too soon would only create complications. She might share news of it with Snow River, and the crown prince would inevitably request one for himself.

Nan Feihuang couldn't risk it. Though he maintained a cordial relationship with Snow River, they were rivals by nature. Giving Snow River such a treasure would be akin to aiding his own enemy.

His thoughts turned to his true allies. The herbs he would acquire were destined for his core team—Xun Yu, Lü Lingqi, and Dian Wei. Even Dugu Yan could benefit, but through Dugu Bo, ensuring no unnecessary attention would be drawn.

As if reading his mind, Xun Yu gave him a knowing nod. The Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well was a treasure trove, and they both understood its importance for their ambitions.

"Oslo," Nan Feihuang turned to his teammate. "While I'm gone, take care of Xun Yu during team battles. If you do, consider your debt to me cleared."

Oslo's eyes widened. "Really?" he exclaimed, his excitement barely contained. "Don't worry, Feihuang! I'll protect him with my life!"

To him, it was the deal of a lifetime—half a year of effort in exchange for erasing a staggering debt of over one million gold coins.

With final goodbyes said, Nan Feihuang left with Dugu Bo. Their figures disappeared into the forested mountains, leaving the academy behind.

In less than half a day, thanks to Dugu Bo's formidable speed, they arrived at the heart of Sunset Forest.

"Finally," Nan Feihuang whispered, gazing at the secluded area before him—the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, the treasure he had longed for since arriving in this world.

"Magnificent," he said aloud, spreading his arms as he felt the alternating waves of extreme heat and cold emanating from the well. His Ghost God Physique, honed for balance, thrummed with excitement at the prospect of refining itself in this unique environment.

Dugu Bo raised a brow. "Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well? What nonsense are you muttering about, boy?"

Nan Feihuang chuckled. "Senior, this place is truly extraordinary. The Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well is one of the three greatest treasure troves for medicinal plants. Ordinary vegetation can't survive here, but rare herbs thrive, growing at ten times their usual speed. A decade here would be like a century elsewhere."

Dugu Bo's eyes narrowed thoughtfully. "No wonder the herbs here are so potent," he muttered. "I've always been cautious with them. Eating the wrong one might kill you instead of healing you."

"Senior," Nan Feihuang said, seizing the opportunity, "with this well's power, I'm confident I can cure your poison. But I do have a request as part of our agreement: may I freely use and take any herbs I find here?"

Dugu Bo hesitated briefly but eventually nodded. "Fine. Take what you want, but don't eat anything recklessly. The potency of these herbs is no joke. If something happens to you, I'd have to face your mother's wrath, and that's a fight I'd rather avoid."

Nan Feihuang grinned. "Of course, Senior. I'll be cautious."

"Good," Dugu Bo said. "Now, make me a list of the common herbs you need for detoxification. This place has everything rare, but the basics are lacking."

Nan Feihuang quickly handed over a prepared list. "I must have forgotten to buy these in the city earlier. I'll have to trouble Senior to fetch them for me."

Dugu Bo scowled. "Troublesome brat. You couldn't have asked earlier?"

Nan Feihuang chuckled sheepishly, knowing full well that he had done it intentionally. With Dugu Bo gone, he'd have free rein to explore and consume the celestial herbs without interference.

"Fine, I'll get them," Dugu Bo said with a resigned sigh. "Listen, I've set up poison arrays around this place. You're safe here, but don't wander off—outside, the beasts are all ten-thousand-year level or higher. And remember, don't eat anything until I'm back to examine it. Got it?"

"Yes, Senior!" Nan Feihuang replied obediently.

As Dugu Bo vanished into the forest, Nan Feihuang's expression shifted to one of determination.

"Not eat anything?" he muttered. "Let's see how long that lasts."

His gaze locked onto the twin-colored pool. The first item on his agenda was clear—consume the most poisonous herb in the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.
