Chapter 12: Chapter 12: Do You Know Who My Father Is?
"Boss, Xiao Wu, why don't we just forget it? We're here to eat!" Tang San said, his body darting forward as he grabbed Mu Chen's hand, trying to persuade him and Xiao Wu.
"Forget it? Why should we forget it?" Mu Chen countered.
"Boss, this isn't good!" Tang San's expression was filled with difficulty.
"What's wrong with it, Little San?" Mu Chen asked knowingly.
Being familiar with the storyline of *Douluo*, Mu Chen knew that the Tang Sect had rules, referred to as the Xuantian Treasure Record.
According to the Xuantian Treasure Record, no Tang Sect disciple should easily provoke trouble!
Though Tang San was a reincarnated soul, he hadn't completely let go of his ties to the Tang Sect. To him, bearing the surname Tang meant he still had an unfinished connection with the sect!
"What are you afraid of, Little San? They've already bullied us!" Xiao Wu asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Xiao Wu, you misunderstood my meaning. What I meant is that we are still students, and we shouldn't provoke trouble!" Upon seeing the look in Xiao Wu's eyes, Tang San felt anxious.
"Alright, Little San. If you're scared, just stay here. Wang Sheng, are you afraid?" Mu Chen turned his gaze to Wang Sheng.
"I... I'm not afraid. Damn it, it's just a few pieces of money. Worst case, we all get expelled together!" Wang Sheng hesitated for a moment, youthful and hot-headed. Remembering his past experiences, he decided to take a stand since Mu Chen was backing him up.
"Good man! Let's go, I'm leading you guys to find some trouble!" Mu Chen praised, giving Wang Sheng a light pat on the shoulder.
As for the other students in Dormitory No. 7, only Tang San remained standing there.
Looking at Mu Chen's back, Tang San was initially here to learn. But thinking that he had already taken a master as his teacher, he felt less hesitant. He moved his legs and followed Mu Chen up to the second floor of the cafeteria.
"Yo, Wang Sheng, you're here so quickly."
Wang Youcai saw Mu Chen and the others coming and assumed Wang Sheng was still the boss of Dormitory No. 7, mocking him coldly.
"Boss, I think Wang Sheng is just so hungry that he came up quickly to find food."
"Yeah, Boss, don't you think we should reward them with a little food?"
Wang Youcai's two companions sneered derisively.
"Reward? Definitely reward!"
Wang Youcai looked at the food in front of him and said, "Let's throw him a piece of bone!"
What?
A bone?
Wang Youcai took a piece of bone with a bit of meat from his bowl and tossed it at Wang Sheng's feet.
What the hell!
The diners on the second floor were attracted by the commotion and turned to look. Wang Youcai actually treated Wang Sheng like a dog!
It was clear to everyone that a conflict was about to break out.
Although the food in the cafeteria was good and many academy teachers were dining upstairs, not a single one came out to stop or mediate the situation.
Why?
Was it because they weren't teachers?
No!
Was it because they didn't know Wang Sheng and Wang Youcai?
No!
The reason they didn't intervene was that they recognized both Wang Sheng and Wang Youcai's identities. One was a work-study student, and the other was a noble from Notting City. Any normal person would know which side to stand on.
In short, this was a realistic world! The weak are preyed upon, and the strong are respected!
Having left Emperor Soul Village, Mu Chen took in the indifferent gazes of the teachers and realized the nature of this world.
"Damn it!" Wang Sheng gritted his teeth, his hands tightly clenched.
"Eat it!" Mu Chen said flatly.
"Boss?"
"Brother Mu Chen?"
Wang Sheng, Xiao Wu, and the other work-study students looked at Mu Chen in surprise.
"I said, eat it!" Mu Chen reiterated.
"Boss?" Wang Sheng murmured again.
Wang Sheng looked at Mu Chen in disappointment, wondering if Mu Chen was serious. Did he really want him to eat the bone that Wang Youcai had thrown on the ground?
Not only Wang Sheng, but even Xiao Wu looked at Mu Chen with disappointment.
"Didn't you hear? I said eat it!" Mu Chen insisted again.
"Yeah, Wang Sheng, hurry up. Your people are already telling you to eat it!" Wang Youcai was initially stunned but then laughed triumphantly. Feeling the eyes of those around him, he relished in his superiority. He tossed another piece of meat onto Mu Chen's feet and said, "You're quite perceptive. This is my reward for you. Eat up! For poor folks like you, you might not even get to eat a piece of meat for half a year!"
"You misunderstood. I meant for you to eat it!" Mu Chen pointed at Wang Youcai.
"You mean me?" Wang Youcai pointed to himself.
"Yes." Mu Chen nodded.
"Hahaha, did you all hear that? He's telling me to eat it! Hahaha!" Wang Youcai laughed, and his two companions joined in, as did the surrounding wealthy students. After laughing for a while, Wang Youcai sneered, "What if I don't?"
"I'll make you perform the meaning of the word 'roll' right here!" Mu Chen said calmly.
"How dare you talk to me like that! Do you know who my father is?" Wang Youcai shouted.
"I don't care who your father is. I'll count to three. If you don't eat it after I count to three, I'll make you lie down and leave!" Mu Chen declared.
"Damn, a work-study student dares to be so arrogant. Get him! Go!" Wang Youcai was furious. As a noble from Soto City, being spoken to in such a manner by a poor person made him feel his status was being challenged. He waved his hand, and the two companions beside him cracked their knuckles ominously.
Mu Chen glanced at the teachers dining around him. Now that the situation had escalated, those teachers showed no intention of intervening.
Whoosh~
One of Wang Youcai's companions swung a fist toward Mu Chen's face, while the other raised a leg to kick him. The two coordinated smoothly, as though they were no strangers to fighting.
Bang!
Bang!
With a sharp sound, one companion's fist was tightly grasped by Mu Chen's hand. The other companion's kick was aimed at Mu Chen, but before he could connect, Mu Chen had already stepped forward and kicked him back.
"Ah… ah… ah… my hand…"
The companion whose hand was caught let out a painful cry as he bent backward.
Despite his young age, Mu Chen had not slacked in his training over the years. Although he was only six years old, his strength could rival that of an adult—no, he was even stronger than some adults.
Bang!
As Mu Chen kicked, he released the grip on the companion's hand and stepped closer to Wang Youcai.
Initially surprised by Mu Chen's approach, Wang Youcai quickly reacted and swung his fist at Mu Chen.
Without having obtained a spirit ring, Wang Youcai, a spoiled noble, was no match for Mu Chen. In just a few moves, he was subdued and pinned to the ground.
Mu Chen stepped on Wang Youcai's head and coldly asked, "Eat, or not?"
