Douluo: I Can Summon Goddesses Across the Multiverse

Chapter 33: Chapter 33: Crushing Tang San and a Wager with Yu Xiaogang!

"Challenge me to a duel? You're not worthy!"

Hearing Tang San's declaration, Yao Xuan let out a cold laugh, his tone dripping with ridicule.

Though Tang San, as a transmigrator, possessed decent combat instincts and strength compared to his peers, Yao Xuan had no reason to take him seriously.

After all, Yao Xuan wielded a top-tier divine-grade martial soul and had already awakened his first Soul Skill. Tang San, even with the simulation of three Soul Rings and an external Soul Bone, would be no match for him.

As for Tang San in his current state, without even a single Soul Ring, he wasn't worth Yao Xuan's time. He was simply too pitifully weak.

"Hmph! I'm not worthy? I think you're just scared! You dare insult my teacher, yet you refuse my challenge? Unless you kneel and apologize to my teacher, don't even think about walking away from this!"

Tang San misinterpreted Yao Xuan's disdain as fear and became even more brazen, his arrogance growing unchecked.

"Tang San, considering you're still a brat, I initially didn't want to bully you. But since you're so insistent, I'll give you an early lesson in humility."

Yao Xuan shook his head helplessly, watching Tang San's smug and overconfident demeanor.

Originally, Yao Xuan had only intended to humiliate Yu Xiaogang, not waste his time dealing with a "child" like Tang San.

But since Tang San seemed so eager to seek humiliation, Yao Xuan decided to reluctantly oblige him.

"Fine, Tang San. Since you're asking for it, follow me."

Yao Xuan smiled faintly and walked out of the classroom. Tushan Susu and Xiao Wu followed closely behind.

"Alright! I'll let you enjoy your confidence for a few more minutes. Soon, I'll have you begging for mercy and apologizing to my teacher!"

Tang San, brimming with misplaced confidence, followed suit. As a transmigrator, he thought taking down a "mere child" would be a breeze.

The two arrived at a small square outside the classroom, quickly attracting a curious crowd of onlookers. Yu Xiaogang also watched proudly from the side, brimming with satisfaction at his disciple's resolve.

"Yao Xuan, this is your last chance. Kneel and apologize to the grandmaster now, or suffer the humiliation of being beaten in public!"

Tang San stretched, warming up his muscles, and spoke disdainfully, his confidence overflowing.

"Tang San, you talk too much."

Yao Xuan shook his head at Tang San's endless posturing. Without warning, he took a single step forward—his figure transformed into a streak of lightning.

In a flash, Yao Xuan appeared beside Tang San, his fist aimed squarely at Tang San's waist.

"So fast!"

Tang San's heart sank. He hastily attempted to block, crossing his arms defensively, but Yao Xuan's speed left him no chance.

"Boom!"

Yao Xuan's punch connected, sending Tang San's body flying through the air. He tumbled in a wide arc before crashing to the ground in a cloud of dust.

"Cough! Cough!"

Tang San felt searing pain in his chest as if his internal organs had been shaken loose. His ribs throbbed, and his limbs were weak. If not for his cultivation of the Mysterious Heaven Technique, he might have fainted on the spot.

Struggling to stand, Tang San found himself pinned down by Yao Xuan, who stomped on his chest with a smirk.

"Tang San, you're so weak! No wonder you chose Yu Xiaogang as your teacher. A trash disciple for a trash teacher—what a perfect match!"

Yao Xuan's mocking laughter echoed as he looked down on Tang San with disdain.

"Yao Xuan! You fought unfairly! That was a sneak attack!"

Though immobilized, Tang San refused to admit defeat, his words defiant.

"Unfair? Please. Even without a sneak attack, you wouldn't last a single punch against me. Tang San, even if I gave you a hundred years, you still wouldn't be my match!"

Yao Xuan's cold smile deepened, his voice filled with contempt.

"Yao Xuan, I admit defeat on Tang San's behalf. Please let him go. After all, we're all classmates."

Yu Xiaogang's voice rang out, concern evident as he looked at Tang San.

"Fine, I don't want to waste any more time on a brat. You're lucky. Get lost."

Yao Xuan released Tang San, punctuating his disdain with a light kick that sent him rolling across the ground.

"Xiao San, are you alright?"

Yu Xiaogang hurried to Tang San's side, his tone filled with concern.

"Master, I'm fine. Just a few bruises. But Yao Xuan dared to insult you and attack me. I won't let this slide!"

Tang San's eyes gleamed with hatred as he glared at Yao Xuan.

"Good. If you're determined to take revenge, I'll do everything I can to help you defeat him!"

Yu Xiaogang nodded approvingly at Tang San's resolve, then turned to Yao Xuan with a calm expression.

"Yao Xuan, since you're so confident in your abilities, how about we make a bet?"

"A bet?" Yao Xuan raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

"Yes. You said Tang San wouldn't be your match even in a hundred years. Let's make it simpler. In six months, Tang San will train under my guidance. If he defeats you then, you'll acknowledge me as a true master and become my disciple. How about it?"

Yu Xiaogang's calm demeanor hid a trace of cunning as he proposed the wager.

"Heh, Yu Xiaogang, that's quite one-sided. If Tang San wins, I have to acknowledge you as my master. But if I win, you face no consequences. Don't you think that's unfair?"

Yao Xuan chuckled and countered, his eyes gleaming with confidence.

"Here's my condition: If Tang San loses, you must publicly admit you're a fraud and a failure as a teacher. Do you dare accept?"

Yao Xuan's gaze pierced through Yu Xiaogang as he spoke, a faint smile playing on his lips.
