Douluo: I Can Summon Goddesses Across the Multiverse

Chapter 31: Chapter 31: Yu Xiaogang's Ambition—Meeting Tang San and Yu Xiaogang for the First Time

"Master, you've returned!"

Hearing Yu Xiaogang's voice, the gatekeeper, Ding Zhen, reacted like a mouse encountering a cat. His expression shifted to one of utter reverence, bordering on flattery, as he nodded and bowed repeatedly.

Although to the teachers and students of Nuoding Academy, Yu Xiaogang was nothing more than a delusional freeloader of little importance, in the eyes of an ordinary person like Ding Zhen, Yu Xiaogang—a bona fide Great Soul Master—was a figure of high status and not someone he could afford to offend.

"Hmm. Remember what I said earlier," Yu Xiaogang replied nonchalantly before turning to Tang San and Old Jack, requesting to examine the proof issued by the Soul Hall for Tang San.

When Yu Xiaogang opened the document, his previously dispirited eyes flashed with a glimmer of excitement.

A child with innate full Soul Power!

Although Tang San's martial soul was merely Blue Silver Grass, according to Yu Xiaogang's theory, this child must possess a powerful second martial soul!

If he could take this child as his disciple and nurture him into a formidable Soul Master, who would dare to look down on him again? Who would dare mockingly refer to him as "Master" with ridicule in their tone?

The thought filled Yu Xiaogang with excitement. A child at this age was impressionable and easy to influence. With his eloquence, he was confident he could bring Tang San under his tutelage.

"Old sir, the proof is genuine. On behalf of the academy, I apologize for the earlier misunderstanding. Please leave this child in my care," Yu Xiaogang said with a faint, apologetic smile, addressing Old Jack.

Seeing a figure as lofty as a Soul Master apologizing to him, Old Jack felt his vanity swell. He decided that Yu Xiaogang must be a kindhearted individual. Entrusting Tang San to him, Old Jack bid farewell.

Yu Xiaogang readily agreed to the request. Taking Tang San's hand, he led him into Nuoding Academy.

Once they arrived at Yu Xiaogang's office, he revealed to Tang San the truth about his dual martial souls, offering a detailed explanation based on his theories.

Stunned by Yu Xiaogang's insight and expertise, Tang San was thoroughly impressed. He knelt and kowtowed three times, formally acknowledging Yu Xiaogang as his master.

Thus, this ill-fated master-disciple duo was officially formed. Yu Xiaogang then accompanied Tang San to the administrative office for registration.

"Well, well, Master Yu. What brings you here? What a rare guest!" teased Director Su upon seeing Yu Xiaogang.

"This is my disciple, Tang San. Please assist with his registration," Yu Xiaogang said, forcing a smile as he placed a hand on Tang San's shoulder.

"Master Yu, I didn't expect you to take on a disciple! Alright, child, hand over your proof," Director Su quipped, unable to resist a jab, before turning to Tang San.

Tang San obediently handed over the document and recommendation letter from the Soul Hall.

"Innate full Soul Power? Another one with innate full Soul Power! What a pity, though—your martial soul is Blue Silver Grass," Director Su sighed after examining the documents.

"But I suppose being under Master Yu's tutelage suits you. To his credit, he does have unique insights into martial souls."

Hearing this, Yu Xiaogang's ears perked up. "Director Su, you said 'another one.' Does that mean Nuoding Academy has other students with innate full Soul Power this year?"

Director Su nodded, astonished. "Indeed. Three students with innate full Soul Power enrolled this morning. Adding Tang San, that makes four. It's unbelievable!"

Yu Xiaogang's face lit up with unbridled joy. "Heaven must be smiling upon me! Director Su, where are those students staying?"

"They aren't staying on campus. The Spirit Hall issued special permits allowing them to commute daily. Master Yu, for their sake, I advise you not to interfere. Let them develop without unnecessary distractions," Director Su warned earnestly.

"Hmph! Director Su, do you think I'm unqualified to mentor students with innate full Soul Power? Such superficial thinking!"

"I'll say it now—if I can't convince those children to willingly become my disciples, I'll eat this desk right here!"

Furious at being dismissed, Yu Xiaogang stormed out, leaving Tang San alone in the office.

"Young man, your teacher has a... peculiar temperament. Be cautious when dealing with him. Now, about your dormitory and responsibilities..." Director Su shook his head, advising Tang San, who thanked him before heading to Dorm Seven. There, Tang San defeated Wang Sheng, securing the position of dorm leader.

The next morning arrived swiftly.

Awakening to sweet morning kisses from Tushan Susu and Keisha, Yao Xuan enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast before heading to Nuoding Academy with Xiao Wu and Susu.

As Yao Xuan entered the classroom, his gaze immediately fell on a black-haired, diminutive boy with piercing eyes seated in the corner.

"So, this must be Tang San. Starting today, prepare to live under my shadow, Yao Xuan's shadow," he mused, a sly smile forming on his lips.

Tang San, sensing a sudden chill down his spine, turned around instinctively. He saw a boy whose extraordinary handsomeness and ethereal aura seemed otherworldly. Flanking him were two exceptionally adorable girls—Xiao Wu and Tushan Susu.

"Why do I feel this way? And why does looking at the girl on his left fill me with such inexplicable heartache?" Tang San frowned, confused by his emotions.

"Excuse me, is Yao Xuan, Susu, or Xiao Wu present?"

A weary middle-aged man with graying hair and an unkempt appearance stepped into the classroom, his voice calling out as he scanned the room.
