Douluo Dalu: The Legend of The Spider Emperor

Chapter 108: Chapter 108: The Rabbit’s Ultimate Fate

Liu Erlong's passionate and decisive speech left a deep impression on everyone present. From that day forward, Shrek Academy was officially established. The team no longer had to worry about their precarious existence, transitioning from a life of scarcity to one of stability.

The next day, during the inaugural assembly for all students and faculty, the newly-appointed headmaster of Shrek Academy, Flender, dressed in an impeccably formal black outfit. Wearing a bow tie and sporting a slicked-back hairstyle, he stood with a commanding presence. His back straight, hands clasped behind him, and sharp eyes scanning the sea of attendees, Flender radiated authority and confidence.

This was his moment—a culmination of years of perseverance.

Finally, the dream he had nurtured for over a decade had come true. Today marked the dawn of an era: the rise of Shrek Academy under Flender's leadership.

Meanwhile, outside Heaven Dou City, at the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan…

In the sect's grand meeting hall, Sect Master Ning Fengzhi sat at the head seat, massaging his temples in frustration. On either side of him sat the Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo, who, for once, shared the same opinion: they firmly advocated capturing the rabbit, raising it, and eventually harvesting its soul ring and soul bone. This, they believed, would ensure the sect's flourishing future.

However, a crucial obstacle stood in their path—Sect Master Ning Fengzhi's indecision. His reluctance left the two powerful Douluos exasperated. Since returning the previous day, they had repeatedly volunteered to act, confident in their ability to quietly capture the rabbit without alerting anyone.

"Fengzhi, what exactly are you afraid of?" Bone Douluo finally asked, unable to contain his frustration.

Sword Douluo added, "Indeed! If we act swiftly, Old Bones and I can bring it back before noon tomorrow. If you keep hesitating, don't blame us for taking matters into our own hands."

The two bombarded Ning Fengzhi with their arguments, but his hesitation only deepened. Finally, Ning Fengzhi sighed and responded, "Uncle Sword, Uncle Bone , I actually agree with your views…"

"That settles it, then!" Bone Douluo exclaimed, ready to spring into action. Sword Douluo's Seven Kill Sword shimmered as it emerged from its sheath, the two preparing to leave.

However, Ning Fengzhi interrupted, "Wait! I haven't finished speaking."

"…"

"…"

Ning Fengzhi shook his head and continued, "As Uncle Bone mentioned yesterday, capturing that 100,000-year-old Soft Bone Rabbit would undoubtedly bring unprecedented prosperity to our sect. However, the situation is not as simple as it appears."

"Oh?" Sword Douluo inquired. "What do you mean?"

Turning to Bone Douluo, Ning Fengzhi asked, "Uncle Bone, do you remember the red, talking dog we saw at Heaven Dou Imperial Academy yesterday?"

Bone Douluo nodded. "Of course. That dog belongs to Ye Hao, and it spoke human language. Are you suggesting… Ye Hao has also set his sights on the Soft Bone Rabbit?"

Ning Fengzhi's eyes burned with certainty. "Exactly. There's no doubt in my mind that Ye Hao already knows the girl's true identity. Otherwise, he wouldn't have openly bantered about rabbit dishes with that dog in front of everyone yesterday."

Bone Douluo frowned. "Even so, why should we be concerned? Ye Hao is just one man. Even if we take the rabbit, how could he possibly force us to return it? We're acting within our capabilities, not at anyone else's mercy."

Ning Fengzhi gave a bitter smile. "Uncle Sword, have you ever considered Ye Hao's true identity? Doesn't he remind you of someone?"

Both Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo fell silent, reflecting on their prior encounters with Ye Hao. Moments later, Bone Douluo's expression darkened as he spoke, "Bibi Dong!"

Sword Douluo's eyes widened in realization, nodding in agreement.

"Exactly," Ning Fengzhi confirmed. "Three months ago, Uncle Sword and I first met Ye Hao at the Soto Battle Arena. At the time, I thought he resembled someone, but I couldn't recall who. Yesterday's encounter provided clarity—his demeanor, actions, and even his martial soul, the Death Spider Emperor, are remarkably similar to Bibi Dong's.

"Moreover," Ning Fengzhi continued, "Ye Hao bears an uncanny physical resemblance to her. The odds of two unrelated individuals looking so alike are slim, and this raises the possibility…"

"That Ye Hao is Bibi Dong's son?" Sword Douluo concluded skeptically. "Impossible! The Spirit Hall has never mentioned anything of the sort."

Bone Douluo added, "Still, it's not entirely implausible. If such a possibility exists, we should tread carefully."

After a moment of contemplation, Ning Fengzhi made his decision. "The 100,000-year-old Soft Bone Rabbit is off-limits to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. Moreover, Uncle Sword, Uncle Bone, I expect you to refrain from taking independent action."

The two Douluos exchanged a glance and sighed in unison. With the sect master's firm stance, there was little they could say.

"Fengzhi, you're being overly cautious," Bone Douluo muttered in resignation.

"You've missed a golden opportunity for the sect," Sword Douluo added. "And all because of Ye Hao?"

Ning Fengzhi shook his head. "Not just that. There are three reasons for my decision:

"First, Ye Hao's gift of the Beautiful Silk Tulip allowed Rongrong's Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda to evolve. This debt of gratitude binds us eternally.

"Second, since Ye Hao clearly values the rabbit, it would be inappropriate to act against his interests. Benefiting from him in one instance while offending him in another would make us ungrateful.

"Third, Ye Hao's true identity remains a mystery. Whether or not he has ties to the Spirit Hall, the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect must remain neutral."

The two Douluos exchanged another glance but could only nod in reluctant agreement.
