The peaceful days at Notting Academy lasted for a month. During this time, Xiao Wu officially acknowledged Ye Feng as her sworn relative. However, the tranquility was interrupted when Sword Douluo Chen Xin paid another visit to Notting Academy.

Upon his arrival, Sword Douluo learned that someone had dared to bully his disciple, Ye Feng. The perpetrator, Xiao Xiao, suffered a brutal fate that same day, with their limbs shattered. If not for the vice dean of Notting Academy personally traveling to the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect to plead for mercy, the academy itself might have faced Sword Douluo's wrath.

Chen Xin had come to Notting Academy this time because he had confirmed the existence of a peculiar peak shrouded in poisonous mist within the Sunset Forestโ€”a location that matched the description of Dugu Bo's medicinal garden.

Since Xiao Wu was now Ye Feng's sworn sister, Ye Feng requested that she accompany them. After some thought, Sword Douluo agreed, honoring Ye Feng's wish.

At just six years old, Ye Feng had already reached the level of a Rank 30 Soul Master, making him a gem of Notting Academy. When the academy dean heard that Ye Feng would be leaving temporarily, he readily approved, as long as Ye Feng didn't drop out. The dean was keenly aware of Ye Feng's potential; with such talent and a master like Sword Douluo, Ye Feng was destined to become a Titled Douluo. To immortalize Ye Feng's achievements, the dean even had his portrait hung on the academy's wall of fameโ€”an honor Ye Feng reluctantly accepted. After all, he was the youngest Soul Master in the history of the Douluo Continent.

Accompanied by Sword Douluo, Ye Feng and Xiao Wu journeyed to the Sunset Forest, the soul beast forest closest to Heaven Dou City. With Sword Douluo protecting them, the surrounding soul beasts avoided confrontation. After a day's journey, the group arrived at the base of a 500-meter-high hill.

The hill was unusual, its base enveloped in a thick poisonous miasma. From above, they could faintly see the outline of the hill through the mist. Riding on Sword Douluo's Seven Kill Sword, they hovered safely above the miasma. From their vantage point, they saw a massive, bowl-shaped pit at the hill's center. Rising heat distorted the air above the pit, and the pungent smell of sulfur filled the surroundings.

At the bottom of the pit lay a peculiar hot spring divided into two distinct halves. One side was a milky white, while the other was a fiery vermilion. The two colors remained completely separate, forming a perfect Taiji (Yin-Yang) symbol.

"What a strange hot spring," Xiao Wu murmured, her curiosity piqued. She stepped forward, intending to get a closer look, but Sword Douluo stopped her.

Though Xiao Wu had initially been wary of Sword Douluo, she had come to see his kindness over time. Realizing he bore her no ill will, her guard around him had lowered significantly.

"Be careful," Sword Douluo warned. "That spring water is highly toxic."

Ye Feng's eyes gleamed with excitement. "This is the legendary Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well!" he exclaimed.

Sword Douluo glanced at Ye Feng in surprise. "You know about it? I don't recall ever teaching you this."

Ye Feng hesitated, realizing his slip. Thinking quickly, he replied, "I heard about it in a story told by a beggar. He described the characteristics of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well in detail."

"A beggar?" Sword Douluo's curiosity deepened.

"Yes," Ye Feng nodded. "He passed through my village once and shared many fascinating tales, including this one."

Sword Douluo didn't press further, focusing instead on the unusual hot spring. "Hot springs are generally not conducive to plant growth due to their high mineral content," he said, observing the lush vegetation surrounding the well. "But these unique plants seem to thrive here. What do you plan to do, Ye Feng? Many of these plants are highly toxic."

Ye Feng stepped forward cautiously. "I'll take a closer look," he said.

As a time traveler, Ye Feng recognized several rare herbs. The area around the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well was a treasure trove of medicinal plants, each more extraordinary than the last.

"Qiluo Tulip!" Ye Feng exclaimed, pausing beside a vibrant pink herb. Its large, fragrant flowers were a hallmark of the legendary plant known to enhance martial spirits.

"Snowy Swan Kiss!"

"Autumn Dew!"

"Cockscomb Phoenix Sunflower!"

Excitement filled Ye Feng as he identified numerous immortal herbs, their value immeasurable. Finally, he stopped before a white herb, pushing his soul power to resist the cold emanating from it. A faint white mist surrounded his body as he approached.

The herb resembled a large white flower with an octagonal shape. Its icy stamens sparkled like crystals, and it emitted no scent. "Star Anise Ice Grass," Ye Feng whispered.

Next, he moved to the opposite side of the well, where he found a fiery-red, cabbage-shaped plant growing near the hot spring's edge.

"Fiery Apricot Delicate!" Ye Feng beamed, recognizing yet another priceless treasure.

Sword Douluo, who had been silently observing, finally spoke. "Disciple, you don't intend to take these herbs, do you?"

Ye Feng nodded. "Yes, Master."

Sword Douluo frowned. "Do you understand the risk? These plants are highly toxic. Prolonged exposure to their aura could be fatal."

Ye Feng smiled confidently. "Master, the beggar told me that consuming these herbs individually would indeed be deadly. But if taken together, under the suppression of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, they can grant immunity to both extreme heat and cold."

Sword Douluo's brows furrowed. "This beggar again? What's his name?"

"He called himself Tang Jia San Shao," Ye Feng replied with a grin.

Sword Douluo shook his head. "I've never heard of him. Are you sure you can trust his words?"

"Master," Ye Feng said earnestly, "his description of these herbs was accurate. I'm confident it will work."

Sword Douluo's expression turned stern. "No. It's too dangerous. I cannot allow you to risk your life based on the words of someone of unknown origin. These herbs are highly toxicโ€”if anything goes wrong, even I might not be able to save you."
