Chapter 24: Chapter -24 Class nine.
Chapter -24.
After Chen Feng stepped out of the dormitory, Wu Yue and a few of his friends, who had awkwardly gathered around, decided to follow him.
These guys had been really impressed by Chen Feng's strength when he showcased his skills back in the dorm.
"Hey, big brother! It's still early. How about we grab a bite at the cafeteria? I heard from my family that Shrek Academy's cafeteria has top-notch ingredients that are great for our bodies and help with soul master training," Wu Yue chimed in from Chen Feng's left side.
"Big brother, I'll cover your meal from now on!" said one of Wu Yue's friends, Xiao Shan, eager to impress Chen Feng.
It was clear they were trying to get on Chen Feng's good side and build a connection. For these noble kids, spending a little money to befriend a future powerhouse seemed like a golden opportunity.
But Chen Feng wasn't about to let anyone feel like they owed him anything over a simple meal. He politely declined, saying, "Thanks, but I can handle it myself."
Noticing that a few of them seemed hesitant to speak up, he added, "Really, I appreciate the offer."
These noble students were still quite young and often thought too simply. They believed that treating Chen Feng to a meal would somehow secure a future friendship. But they overlooked one important thing: why would someone as talented as Chen Feng be swayed by such small gestures?
Chen Feng understood that with his abilities, there would be plenty of people wanting to befriend him in the future. All he needed to do was keep getting stronger. It was human nature to seek connections, and he didn't feel the need to accept or reject their offers.
So, he simply continued on his way to the cafeteria, leaving them behind.
The group exchanged awkward glances, realizing that flattering him wasn't as easy as they thought, especially given Chen Feng's cool demeanor.
Wu Yue, who had a closer relationship with Chen Feng and understood his incredible power better than the others, decided to follow him.
He had a feeling that Chen Feng was destined for greatness, and he wanted to be part of that journey.
The rest of the group looked at each other.
"Forget it, Chen Feng is too hard to approach. I'm not going to chase after him just to get ignored."
"He's not really in our world. We're just here for experience, while he's a true genius."
"I think Wu Yue's flattery might actually work for her."
"Yuey is cozying up to Chen Feng, and we're cozying up to her, haha..."
"Big brother, wait for me!! I want to eat with you!" Wu Yue called out as he ran after Chen Feng, catching the attention of other students heading to the cafeteria.
As Chen Feng made his way to the Shrek Academy cafeteria, he glanced back at Wu Yue following him. He didn't mind her company as long as it didn't bother him.
At Shrek Academy, each grade has its own cafeteria located just behind the dorms.
The cafeteria was spacious but surprisingly empty, with no tables or chairs in sight, which left Chen Feng a bit speechless.
On one side, there was a sink for washing hands and utensils, and a window for ordering meals, with prices displayed outside. There were eight windows, each offering different dishes, with prices going up from right to left.
Plus, meals had to be eaten there; takeout wasn't allowed.
Chen Feng and Wu Yue both ordered the top-tier dishes from the innermost part of the cafeteria.
Chen Feng spent fifty gold soul coins on his meal, realizing he had less than five thousand gold soul coins left in his storage soul guide. He thought to himself, "If I keep eating like this three times a day, my savings won't last long."
But he wasn't worried at all. With his skills, he was confident he could earn plenty at the Shrek Soul Arena without needing to rely on anyone wealthy.
After finishing their meal, Chen Feng felt warm and satisfied. Even though the food was pricey, it was definitely worth it.
Then, he and Wu Yue headed toward the new student teaching building.
Before long, they arrived at the entrance of the classroom for Class Nine.
Most of the seats were already filled.
Wu Yue peeked inside and said to Chen Feng, "Big brother, we're late; all the good spots are taken."
Chen Feng shrugged and replied, "It's all the same."
As soon as he walked into the classroom, all eyes turned to him.
The moment they saw Chen Feng, the classroom buzzed with excitement.
"Oh wow, isn't that the handsome guy we saw at Shrek Square? He's in our class!!!"
"Wow, his skin is flawless, and his eyes are so bright!"
"Come on, girls. What's the point of being handsome? He might just be a pretty face."
"This guy is so annoying; he just stole all the attention from the girls in the class."
Many female students began whispering to each other.
A beautiful girl with light green hair and dark green eyes, gentle in demeanor, turned to a short-haired blonde girl beside her and said, "Ning Tian, he's so handsome! He really fits my style."
The blonde girl, Ning Tian, looked at Chen Feng and was momentarily taken aback by his looks.
But as the young master of the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile School, Ning Tian wasn't just about looks; she valued strength above all.
Ning Tian smiled at her friend, "He is quite handsome. What's up, Yun'er? Have you got a crush on him?"
To Ning Tian's right, a girl with short red hair and striking red eyes was so captivated by the blonde girl that she didn't even notice what was happening in class.
She thought to herself, "What's so great about guys? Ning Tian is way prettier."
At that moment, Nanmen Yun'er turned to Wu Feng and said, "Wu Feng, Ning Tian is teasing me; what do you think of that black-haired handsome guy?"
Wu Feng was about to say, "What's so great about guys?" but after glancing at Chen Feng, he held back.
He mumbled, "Well... he's okay, I guess..."
Hearing Wu Feng's words, Nanmen Yun'er exclaimed, "Oh my gosh, Wu Feng, your standards are way too high! You think he's just okay? Are there any guys in this world worth looking at?"
Ning Tian looked at Wu Feng, puzzled.
