After the City of Slaughter was renamed the Netherworld, Electrolux decided to remain there, dedicating himself to building a sanctuary for countless undead souls in the future.
However, this didn't mean Electrolux was completely disconnected from Tang San. The Throne of Souls Imprinted with Kindness and Death remained linked to the Starry Sky World, and the Blue Silver Network enabled Electrolux to communicate with Tang San at any time, regardless of distance.
Moreover, since Electrolux wasn't planning to fully resurrect himself, Tang San had granted him the ability to traverse the Starry Sky World and appear at any Blue Silver Emperor plant. This newfound freedom brought him great convenience.
As Electrolux explained, "If I were to resurrect, traveling to find you in Spirit City would require either tedious flight or the hassle of opening spatial pathways. On top of that, the Netherworld is a place for the dead; it's not exactly suitable for the living. Besides, I'm already deceased. If I were to revive, how could I remain the master of this underworld? Staying in this half-dead, half-alive state is far more fitting."
He added with curiosity, "I also want to test something—whether it's possible to cultivate 'vital energy' without a physical body."
Tang San found this intriguing. Based on Electrolux's prior studies of the souls of criminals and the fallen, it seemed that even souls weren't entirely immaterial. They appeared to contain a form of "blood" or its equivalent. This experiment held promise, and Tang San looked forward to its results.
"When will you return?" Electrolux asked.
"In a bit." Tang San glanced back and then seated himself on the Throne of Souls Imprinted with Kindness and Death. "We have an unexpected visitor."

*The Divine Realm*
In the Divine Realm, the God of Shura suddenly paused while listening to the Sea God's endless complaints. His expression turned grave as he said, "Hold on. Something has happened. The inheritance ground I left on the Douluo Continent has been destroyed, and even the spatial passage has collapsed."
"What?" The Sea God was startled, his face showing disbelief. "Your inheritance ground was destroyed? Could it be the humans there? I told you before, don't establish your inheritance sites underground! Now look, they've probably filled it in like it's some giant pit!"
The God of Shura's face darkened. "I don't think it's that simple. The spatial passage has collapsed, and I can't gather any information from it. However, I can sense an ominous aura."
"Ominous aura? Could it be the God of Rakshasa?" The Sea God frowned as he considered the possibility. The God of Rakshasa had ascended during the same era as himself and the Angel God, though his ascension was tainted by tampering with the Shura God's inheritance site before the truth about his divine origin came to light. After ascending, the Shura God had "judged" him accordingly.
"Still, the God of Rakshasa should have left some divine sense on the Douluo Continent. Perhaps it's the actions of his successor?" the Sea God speculated. "If so, you're truly unlucky."
After all, before someone ascends to godhood, their actions are not constrained by the rules of the Divine Realm. The Shura God would be forced to bear the consequences and couldn't seek retribution without finding another valid reason.
"It's not him," the Shura God replied firmly. He was well-acquainted with the aura of the God of Rakshasa.
This aura was different:
Dark, yet tinged with light.
Cold, yet carrying faint spiritual fluctuations.
It resembled death, yet something about it felt distinctly unusual. Moreover, the ability to destroy the spatial passage in the City of Slaughter indicated the involvement of a power at the divine level. It was possible that someone was attempting to create their own divine position.
The Sea God offered a suggestion, "Why not discuss this with the other Divine Kings?"
"Humph! Those fellows wouldn't care about something like this. They'd only intervene if someone from the lower realms broke through to a god-level existence and violated the rules. Unless that happens, those two won't bother meddling. The rules we established must be upheld. If we fail to set an example, how can we expect other gods to follow suit?"
The God of Shura let out a cold snort, his tone heavy with implication. "While the Divine Kings may have strength far surpassing other gods, if all of you banded together and chose not to pass on your divine positions before leaving, even we wouldn't be able to stop you."
He added, "But to exploit loopholes in the rules, there must first be someone who violates them."
The Sea God gave a sheepish laugh. "Come on, big brother, we're all pretty responsible. Who would abandon their divine position without passing it on? It's all for the sake of strengthening the Divine Realm."
The God of Shura raised an eyebrow. "Don't be so sure. You gods who ascended postnatally are far more complex than we gods who were born innately in this world." His words carried deeper meaning. As an enforcer who often descended to the lower realms, the God of Shura was far more exposed to humanity than gods like Kindness, Evil, Life, or Destruction. This exposure made him more "human" in some ways, stirring his curiosity and fueling his desire to explore the broader universe rather than remain confined to the Divine Realm.
The Sea God was left speechless.
Even if they were to unite, the number of postnatally ascended gods at the level of a Primary God was too small—barely fifty, excluding secondary gods, tertiary gods, and divine officers. Their numbers were insufficient to challenge the Divine Kings. Those weaker than a Primary God, such as the followers of ascended gods, might be numerous, but against a Divine King, they were nothing more than cannon fodder. Their strength was negligible in such a confrontation.
"Enough of this topic," the God of Shura said, waving it off. "Let me borrow your inheritance site for a moment. I'll send a sliver of divine sense down to investigate who's causing trouble. If it turns out to be someone from my line of inheritance, let's see how they explain themselves once they ascend." Without waiting for the Sea God's consent, the God of Shura split off a fragment of his divine sense and used the Sea God's spatial passage to descend to the Douluo Continent.
The Sea God stared blankly for a moment. "…" He sighed. "Calling it borrowing feels like a stretch when you act like this… Oh well, we're on good terms. If it weren't for his advice back then—not to interfere recklessly with human development—I might've ended up like the Angel God. Better let it slide."
---
Before long, the God of Shura's divine sense relayed back an image of the former City of Slaughter. What once brimmed with murderous energy and crimson light had transformed into a gloomy, shadowy land shrouded in gray mist. Ghostly flames of eerie blue, pale white, and cold green hovered along the edges of the buildings. The streets were populated with wandering, vacant souls, and amidst the apparent chaos, there was a strange semblance of order.
"What happened to your inheritance ground?" the Sea God exclaimed, his eyes wide. He smacked his lips. "These are all soul bodies, aren't they? Could someone have actually condensed a divine position related to death? Speaking of which, would a Death God be classified as a Secondary God or a Primary God?"
The God of Shura's expression grew increasingly grim as he processed the sensations relayed through his divine sense. After a long pause, he uttered two words: "Divine King."
"What?!" The Sea God clutched his ears, as if doubting what he'd just heard. "Big brother, are you kidding me? A Divine King-level existence?"
"I never joke," the God of Shura replied, his brows tightly furrowed. His divine sense ventured deeper into the heart of this newly formed Netherworld. The central palace, once the Slaughter Palace, was now cloaked in darkness. At its core stood a dark blue Blue Silver Emperor, its massive form propping up the entire space. Atop the Blue Silver Emperor was an extraordinary throne radiating a faint, otherworldly power.
"An artifact!" they exclaimed in unison.
As the God of Shura's divine sense pressed further, it finally revealed the figure seated on the throne.
