Chapter 326: White Yaksha’s Identity
"..."
Ymir and Krista exchanged glances, speechless. Annie's change was truly immense; she was completely different from the Annie they knew.
"Then let's have a long-awaited big battle."
Tsunade, Saeko, and Annie simultaneously spread their wings and flew into the Titan horde.
Ren thought for a moment and said, "Let's go up and watch the battle." With that, the four of them vanished.
They reappeared hundreds of meters in the sky.
"Whoa!" The sudden change made Ymir's body tremble, and she immediately grabbed Ren's arm. Krista was no exception. The two of them glanced down, their hearts pounding and legs weak.
Looking down from such a height made them dizzy. If they fell, they would surely be splattered into meat paste.
Ren looked at their frightened expressions, a slight smile on his lips, and naturally wrapped his arms around their waists. "Don't worry. With me here, you won't fall. Look how calm Mikasa is."
"..." Mikasa, standing beside them, said nothing, merely staring intently at the three people huddled together. She had actually been startled too, but she didn't express it with obvious emotions.
Ymir stared at Ren's profile in shock. "How do you have so many strange abilities? You can even fly!"
In reality, this had nothing to do with flying; it was merely spatial movement combined with solidifying air. But with their current understanding, they could only describe it as flying.
"Just a small trick. Don't think so much. Can you watch the show?" What Ren meant was the battle below, but Ymir glanced at Krista and found her cheeks flushed, her eyes occasionally darting towards him.
She immediately realized they were still being held.
"Hey, your hand."
"Are you sure you want me to let go?" Ren teased.
"..." Ymir looked at the bottomless abyss below, the dizzying sensation refusing to stop. This is infinitely more stimulating than using ODM gear.
Before she could answer, Ren loosened his hand from her waist.
"Hey! Don't let go!" Ymir frantically hugged his waist, almost cursing under her breath.
"Haha…" Krista secretly laughed at Ymir's flustered appearance. Since Ymir had asked, Ren could only grant her wish. Feeling the large hand on her waist again, Ymir uncharacteristically felt her body warm up.
"Ren." At this moment, Mikasa suddenly spoke.
Ymir and Krista then saw Mikasa steadily walking over, stepping on the air. Then, in front of them, she sat between his legs and said faintly, "I'm afraid of falling down."
"..."
The three of them fell silent.
Ymir's mouth twitched. "Walking over expressionlessly and saying something like that, are you joking?"
"Ahahaha… Mikasa has always been bad at expressing herself," Krista explained.
Mikasa shifted her body, leaned back against Ren, and looked up, frowning slightly. "Ren, what are you poking me with? It's a bit uncomfortable."
"..." Suddenly, the atmosphere became awkward. Ymir's mouth twitched; she couldn't think of anything else that could be poking Mikasa. Krista also lowered her head.
Ren straightened his back and coughed dryly. "Nothing. Just a weapon. Don't mind it. Tsunade and the others have started fighting."
Mikasa felt another poke, but since Ren said it was nothing, she didn't pay it any mind.
Ren was also helpless. Mikasa's outfit was so tight, and she had suddenly sat down. What could he do? He couldn't suppress it, so he diverted his attention and started the Chat Group live stream.
[Ding! Chat Group member Ren has started a live stream!]
[White Yaksha has entered the live stream room!]
[Qin Shi Huang has entered the live stream room!]
Kabukicho, Yorozuya.
Three people were lazily lying on the sofa, watching TV. On the left was a girl with orange-red hair, on the right was a man with glasses, and in the middle lay a man with dead-fish eyes and curly silver hair. On the table was a bag of potato chips.
As if a rule had been set, each person took one chip at a time. However, as the chips became fewer, the speed of their hands grew faster. Soon, all three almost simultaneously stopped.
The room was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. These were just the prelude to the coming storm.
All three of their gazes sharply focused on the last chip in the bag. The man with glasses pushed up his spectacles, and the white light reflecting off them became the bugle call of war.
Three hands shot out like lightning. Their faces contorted, eyes wide, mouths agape. Their goal was singular: to claim the last potato chip.
Smack! The chip bag was sent flying. Among the three, the curly-haired one ultimately prevailed.
"Hahahaha, as expected of Gin-san! It's mine!" He laughed wildly, opening his mouth wide, ready to devour it. Just then, he suddenly froze, his eyes fixed straight ahead.
The girl on the left's eyes lit up. Seizing the opportunity, she grabbed his hand and ate the chip in one bite. "The victor is me! Shinpachi, Gin-chan, you're too weak, Aru."
"Damn it! Just a little bit more!" Shinpachi scratched his head, regretting his slow reaction.
Gin-san, however, pointed blankly ahead, his voice trembling. "Hey... Kagura, Shinpachi, you can't possibly not see what's in front of us, can you?"
Kagura and Shinpachi looked forward and shook their heads. "There's nothing, Aru."
"I don't see anything either, Gin-san. Are you seeing ghosts?"
Gin-san twitched his lips, cold sweat breaking out. He was most afraid of ghosts.
[Inorin Note:
My apologies for not updating these past five days. I've been sick with a severe pain in my lower right abdomen since last Saturday and Sunday. It was so painful that it hurt even to the touch, and I felt it sharply whenever I sat down. As a result, I could only lie in bed for four days.
I didn't go to a doctor because I couldn't afford the medical costs, so I could only resign myself to it and hope the pain would subside. After three days, on Tuesday, it no longer hurt when pressed, but I still feel a dull ache and discomfort in my lower right abdomen, which persists even now.
It's not just my abdomen; I also get sharp pains in the left side of my chest. I don't know if I have appendicitis, GERD, or some other illness. I'm just hoping it's a digestive issue like constipation, but this has been going on since January and has only gotten progressively worse. I can only hope this illness isn't serious and will resolve on its own, because I don't have the money for treatment. Right now, the money I have is just enough for me to eat until next month.
So, I will do my best to provide daily updates and create a schedule to ensure there are no interruptions on Webnovel and Patreon, even if I get sick again. I also want to let you know that this Saturday or Sunday, I will start preparing the 100 bonus chapters I promised last month, which will be released on Patreon first, with a possible mass release on Monday. I also need to upload chapters for my other novels on Patreon, as I'm already halfway through the month and haven't finished all the advanced chapters yet.
Perhaps because of this, my support has decreased; I've only received about a quarter of the support I did last month. I am very grateful to those who are still supporting me. I will use your support wisely and not spend it on unnecessary things, ensuring it's enough to meet my basic daily needs.
Once again, I apologize if I sometimes fail to upload, whether it's for this novel, my other works, or on Patreon. It's because of my recurring health problems. I don't even know what illness I have since I can't afford to get it checked. I can only hope that my body stays healthy and that I don't get an illness that requires a doctor, because I simply don't have the funds. If that were to happen, I could only surrender to fate.
I am always grateful to my new supporters, and a sincere thank you to everyone who has continued to support me from last month until today.
