Chapter 323: Glorious Divine Might
Tingyun gently fanned her rosy fan and calmly reassured the two, "March 7th and Stelle, this humble girl thinks there's no need to worry about our benefactor."
If one thought deeply, with Ren's power, which was enough to rival an Aeon, why would they need to worry?
This scene was noticed by a woman in pink standing beside them. She was Fu Xuan, the head of the Divination Commission, and possessed keen observational skills.
"Oh? From your words, you seem very confident in that person's strength. Do you think my Luofu is no match?" Fu Xuan looked slightly up at Tingyun.
Tingyun respectfully nodded. "Grand Astrologer, this humble girl did not mean that. My benefactor saved my life, and I know him well, so I naturally know his extraordinary strength. But what I said was not meant to belittle the Luofu; it was more to convey that I know my benefactor is not an evil person."
Fu Xuan looked directly into Tingyun's enchanting eyes. She immediately realized this person was different. Her rhetoric was truly flawless. There was not a single word that suggested the Luofu was weak, yet everywhere, she expressed that her benefactor was stronger.
"Hmph." With a soft snort, Fu Xuan crossed her arms and turned away. She had noted Tingyun's name. She was a talent, and Fu Xuan was already considering whether to poach her.
The heart of the Grand Astrologer was known throughout the Luofu.
It could be confirmed that the man in front of them indeed knew the people from the Astral Express. Ren's words further solidified this point. "That's right, they are all my friends."
Jing Yuan's eyes flickered. "Then may I ask, what is the purpose of bringing the Stellaron into the Scalegorge Waterscape and causing the Ambrosial Arbor to grow?"
Ren gave him a roll of his eyes. "Jing Yuan, don't try to test me unnecessarily. I've always preferred to be straightforward."
"You should be able to tell that the Stellaron was not brought here by me."
This statement slightly surprised Jing Yuan, who stroked his chin. "You are a man of character. As the General of the Luofu, I cannot act recklessly, so please don't take offense. Regarding what you said, I do have some suspicions, and personally, I believe you."
His words were truly both official and personal. Ren found such roundabout statements genuinely uncomfortable. "Alright, then I'll talk to Jing Yuan as an individual."
"Firstly, I have no objective for the Luofu. The Stellaron was not brought by me, nor did I first cause the Ambrosial Arbor to grow."
"My targets are indeed the Stellaron and the Ambrosial Arbor, and the current situation is also caused by me."
Ren pointed to the Ambrosial Arbor, which was radiating divine charm. "You should have seen it. Although it is flourishing now, its power will not spread. I have already suppressed it. Once my goal is achieved, this thing will wither and die."
Buzz! As Ren finished speaking, the sphere in front of the Ambrosial Arbor vibrated.
Ren's eyes lit up. Speak of the devil.
[Thump! Thump! Thump!]
The entire Ambrosial Arbor began to tremble violently, and the black-green sphere pulsed madly.
"Wow! How scary!" Bailu's dragon tail swished, and she shrank behind the Vidyadhara.
"What's happening?" Fu Xuan's hands glowed, and Yukong drew her bow, ready for battle. Kafka and Blade took out their weapons. Jingliu and Luocha were also ready.
Something terrifying was brewing inside that sphere.
"What a strange feeling…" Jing Yuan frowned and took half a step back. The Blade of Strife: Karma manifested, golden lightning flashed, and a colossal golden giant appeared behind him.
It was his Divine General.
"Jing Yuan can trust Your Excellency, but General Jing Yuan probably cannot." Jing Yuan was preparing to destroy the surging sphere. The power within it felt capable of effortlessly destroying the Celestial Ark.
"Majestic might, heed my command, execute without mercy!"
Golden light was dazzling. The Divine General and the primordial thunder, obeying Jing Yuan's command, brought down divine punishment. The golden thunder giant blade cleaved heavily towards the sphere.
"Tsk, I really hope you can be more obedient." Ren clicked his tongue and snapped his right fingers.
Empty!
In an instant, the thunder of majestic heavenly might vanished. Everyone's eyes widened. Jing Yuan's moving body suddenly became motionless, and so did the Divine General. Both were frozen, suddenly halted.
"Still…" A cold gleam appeared in Jingliu's hand. Her plan was the convergence between Aeons, not to destroy the Luofu. But just then, Ren's gaze intersected with hers.
"!!!" Even through the black satin, she felt an incredibly dazzling yet bone-chilling coldness. Her already cold body felt as if it had fallen into an ice cellar. The condensed ice shattered, and her body, which had fallen into the Mara and knew no fear, was trembling.
For a moment, the atmosphere was eerily tense. Even though Ren did nothing, no one dared to move.
[Thump, thump, thump!]
As the sphere pulsed more intensely, a burst of dark green wind erupted and transformed, enveloping the entire Scalegorge Waterscape.
"Congratulations, Phantylia. How is this body?" Ren had already seen through the dark green light. Phantylia's body had condensed.
"Thank you for Master's Grace. With Master's energy, I feel the endless power of this body," Phantylia's expression could not hide her excitement.
A seductive woman with a hairpin, a fan, and grayish-green skin, covered by strange black-green clothing. Although her skin was an unusual color, her beauty could still be glimpsed. It must be said, this image suited Ren's preferences, though the body was a bit too large.
"Phantylia, shrink a bit. Your body is too big," Ren reminded her. Of course, there was another sentence he didn't say: too big to play with.
"Yes, Master." Phantylia, completely obedient, immediately shrank her body. But her overall height remained tall, slightly taller than Ren, with a full big-sister vibe.
"Phantylia…" The dark green light dissipated, and everyone saw what the sphere had birthed: the life form Ren called Phantylia.
