Chapter 319: Planting the Seed of Time
Aha also left. Only Ren and Qlipoth remained.
Qlipoth looked at the star system, which was on the verge of destruction, and raised its huge hammer, smashing it down again.
"Clang!"
This was not a final blow; the hammer was raised high and smashed down again.
"Clang!"
…
Qlipoth was rebuilding the walls here. The walls of this entire star system had been "killed" by the Spear of Sin.
The spear not only represented the condensation of the Power of Sin but also contained the Vector Domain, the Time Sequence Holy Domain, Decay and Collapse, and the Power of Yin and Yang, as well as all the concepts affecting speed and destruction that had been killed by the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception.
Nanook had suffered heavy losses. The spear had not only killed countless rules of the star system but also another segment of his Path of Destruction. After this battle, the power of the Aeon of Destruction might never return to its peak. He might even become weaker than Lan, the Aeon of the Hunt.
"Clang!" Qlipoth was diligently building walls.
The universe, however, was already in chaos. Several Amber Eras had passed in just a short time. Everyone speculated what made the Amber King so active; was the end of the universe coming?
Ren, on the other hand, had his sights set on this shattered star system. Many rules had been killed, but the rules of time still existed.
King of Chronos!
He activated the power of time, clenching both hands.
Boom!
Timelines shattered, and rules exploded into fragments. After a little time, he had transformed the entire star system into a super-large time vortex composed entirely of fragmented time rules.
Then, Ren layered spatial restrictions on the outer layer of the system. Thus, this star system became the "Disordered Time Star Sea."
He wanted to plant the Seed of Time. Spatial restrictions could prevent others from entering, but if an Aeon wanted to break through, they could do it with full effort.
Aha and the others... Ren thought of a good method. Qlipoth was still engrossed in building walls; it was a good guardian.
Ren took out the Seed of Time. He looked up and said, "Aha, you must have been very pleased with the performance just now, right?"
[Hahahahahahaha!] There was indeed a response from Aha in the starry sky.
Ren grinned. "Then you should pay for the performance. I'm planting a seed here; help me watch it. Next time, I'll perform tearing Destruction apart for you."
[Hahahahahahaha!]
"Oh, ho? You want to join? Okay, each of us tears half." Although Aha was laughing, Ren could easily understand his meaning.
Aha had agreed because he found it amusing.
So Ren unhesitatingly threw the Seed of Time into the Time Star Sea. He saw the seed begin to absorb the fragmented time rules, quickly growing countless gelatinous roots and completely rooting itself.
"It seems there's no problem." He glanced at Qlipoth; it wasn't paying attention, still diligently building walls.
"Truly persistent," Ren muttered, preparing to leave.
Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a flashing ice crystal prism in the chaotic starry sky. In just a blink, it disappeared.
"The Aeon of Remembrance? Fuli?" Ren immediately thought of her. So his battle with Nanook should have been recorded.
"Tsk, didn't even come out to show herself." It was similar to the Starlight Pavilion on the Astral Express, which followed her. That was quite a cool, kingly aura.
After a slight grumble, Ren moved, passing through layers of imaginary barriers, and returned to Tingyun's side.
Tingyun had just been having a simple conversation with Phantylia. "Lady Phantylia, do you think Benefactor can…"
"Don't ask me. You know better than I do about the power of Destruction." Phantylia didn't want to get close to her. She was more afraid of her own future. She had already betrayed Destruction, and her end was sealed: either enslaved or destroyed. She feared her own destruction even more than she feared Destruction itself.
"..." Tingyun was helpless; she had gotten no results from her attempts to communicate.
"Sigh…" Tingyun sighed deeply. There had been too many changes today. First the Emanator, then the Aeon, followed by the chaos of the Amber Era. Each event had refreshed her worldview. She was just a small Foxian; how could she experience such exaggerated things?
"Tingyun, why are you sighing?"
"Hmm?" Tingyun suddenly looked up and saw the perfectly fine Ren looking at her with a smile.
"Benefactor! You're alright?"
"What? Do you want something to happen to me?" Ren raised an eyebrow.
Tingyun quickly shook her head. "Benefactor misunderstands. This little girl was just worried, after all, you were going to challenge the Lord of Annihilation."
Ren spread his hands. "You saw it. I wasn't injured, but Nanook suffered a serious injury."
"!!!" Tingyun's fox ears twitched, confirming she hadn't misheard.
"Master, you repelled Destruction!" Phantylia was clearly more shocked than Tingyun.
"He fled. I made a hole in him. He probably isn't feeling well," Ren casually spoke words that would shock the world. His attention returned to Phantylia.
"You've felt it, haven't you? Your power has separated from the Path of Destruction, but it hasn't died. It will become your own power."
Upon learning that Destruction had been repelled, Phantylia was completely relieved. "Thank you for your master's generosity."
"Follow me and do well. Didn't you want an Ambrosial Arbor body? You're free now, and since we're at the Luofu, I can get you one." Despite saying that, Ren actually just wanted to visit.
"This…" Tingyun knew about the Ambrosial Arbor. The disaster of that year was etched into history.
"I know what you're worried about. With me here, the Ambrosial Arbor won't harm the Luofu."
With Ren's assurance, Tingyun relaxed. "Thank you for your understanding, Benefactor."
"Hmm, March-chan and the others seem to have also entered the Luofu." Ren sensed that the Jade Realm Gate had already opened. So, he simply moved everyone directly into the Celestial Ark. He falsified the memories of the other people from the mercantile guild so they would believe they had entered naturally.
"..." Tingyun was shocked by his methods but was too numb to express her astonishment.
It seemed that what Ren showed was always just the tip of the iceberg, just as everyone in the Chat Group was still worried about him.
"Benefactor, perhaps you should reply to everyone," Tingyun reminded him.
He opened the Chat Group and saw a pile of messages concerned about him.
