Don't confiscate my identity as a human race

Chapter 882: The Longest 2 Hours of Lao Qi

The lead performance hall of the Ikelite Opera House.

The audience seats were almost full, and nearly all the spectators in the entire hall were chatting lively with their friends beside them.

"Today's makeup and costume for Xiu Bao will be exceptionally beautiful!"

"I think so too, mainly because she has such a good aura."

Antanas and Sinola were both accompanying Hyperion today.

They were reminiscing about the rehearsals while eagerly anticipating Xiu Bao's grand entrance.

Pranay glanced at the stage curtain, then took off his glasses, starting to clean them, detaching himself from the surroundings.

Besides today's Saturday performance, there will be another show tomorrow on Sunday. But for those who have watched the internal rehearsals, it already feels like the second show now.

"Antanas, Sinola, no spoilers please."

Sitting in the front row, Isatia turned back and said to her two friends.

She and Talia had restrained themselves from coming to the Ikelite Opera House to see the troupe's rehearsals, just to experience the surprise on the day of the official performance.

"Got it, Isatia, don't worry."

Antanas and Sinola nodded repeatedly.

They were worried that Isatia would cry her heart out later.

Today's opera may have some warm little interludes that could make Isatia laugh, but by the end, she will likely realize the fact that the Half-witch Lady is a ghost, unable to laugh from start to finish as she did during the Grey Princess performance.

Just thinking about Isatia's look later on, they couldn't help but feel a little heartache. Isatia has always been the youngest sister among them, and they all took good care of her, unable to bear seeing little Isatia cry.

"By the way, come to the Duke's Mansion for dinner tonight, it's been a long time since you've stayed over at the Duke's House. Xiu Bao really wants to have a pajama party with you."

Isatia looked back, gripping the chair back, and said to Antanas and Sinola in the back row.

She was already planning to throw a celebration banquet, celebrating the great success of the performance.

During the previous period when Talia was not in Ichrite, Sinola and Antanas took turns protecting Hyperion. Now that there's no danger, the two of them no longer accompanied Hyperion 24/7, making Hyperion slightly lonely.

"No problem, but we both have work early tomorrow morning, so we have to return to the Cat Boss Restaurant early."

Sinola and Antanas exchanged a glance and agreed.

However, they declined to stay over at the Duke's Mansion.

"Then see you at dinner! Thank you for your hard work!"

Isatia said with a smile.

"Okay."

Antanas and Sinola breathed a sigh of relief when they realized Isatia wasn't adamantly insisting they stay over at the Duke's Mansion.

"Speaking of staying over, maybe we should spend more time with Xiu Bao? It's been so long since we lived together, might she feel like we're excluding her?"

Antanas quietly suggested to Sinola.

"No, if we keep staying over with Hyperion, I feel like I will never get married..."

Sinola covered her face, half-crying to herself.

"I understand."

Antanas nodded, not bringing up the idea again.

She had suffered before too.

"Artemis is not here today."

Sinola recalled that during rehearsals, the Bingxue Witch was always beside them, but for today's official performance, she suddenly wasn't around.

"It seems Artemis specifically got a box seat ticket for today."

Antanas turned her head, looking toward the high-level box seats far away.

The view suddenly opened up, revealing another side of the grand opera hall—a three-story-high golden box rising along the theater walls.

Thousands of gold-trimmed, dark velvet seats sat neatly in place, filled with enthusiastic spectators.

She didn't know exactly which box the Bingxue Witch was in today.

The box tickets might not be more expensive than their current first and second-row tickets, but Artemis made that choice.

Maybe Artemis had someone she wanted to watch with.

Apart from the four of them, last time at the Ichrite Grand Theatre, a Great Demon Clan member witnessed a rehearsal, and today Tolyado was backstage conducting the music.

Abigail still hasn't forgiven the matter of the twenty thousand pounds, and remembers Tolyado's unreliable behavior of not finding the magic last time during the performance, so this time Abigail locked Tolyado in the theater, making him work dutifully and not letting him go anywhere in the morning.

Tolyado seemed to have missed something again. When she saw him at the theater this noon, he looked exceptionally pained.

"Abigail, why are you so harsh with Tolyado, as if he owes you money."

Antanas couldn't help but ask Abigail in the front row.

"He does owe me money."

Abigail turned back, answering matter-of-factly.

She was very polite to the other Demon Race partners, though.

"You see, you're especially nice to us, but uniquely toward Tolyado, even if he pays back the money, you probably still hate him. It may not be complete hate though..."

Even though Antanas had trouble expressing it clearly, she still spoke her mind.

Abigail seemed to have an air of lofty resentment, as if she had been abandoned by Tolyado before.

Although she was indeed once left behind by Tolyado—he stirred up the Bishop of Destruction and then ran off alone to the Northern Continent...

"Anyway, I will never forgive him."

Abigail simply said and turned back.

Even though there are no longer any concerns for their Dimensional Branch, it doesn't mean she's ready to make peace with Tolyado.

Antanas was about to say something more, intrigued by the long-standing curiosity about the history between Abigail and Tolyado, only to be stopped by Pranay's gesture.
