Dominance Evolution System: Sweat, Sex, and Streetball

Chapter 145: The Kiss and the Crown

Nash stood, his naked body slick with sweat, the neon glow catching the hard lines of his muscles.

Time to bounce before someone else would come and see his little Johnny. He went back to the room and found his clothes scattered across the floor, stained with beer and who-knows-what.

He changed back and slipped out into the hallway, the door clicking shut behind him.

The next morning, the suite was thick with tension, like the air before a thunderstorm. The Blacklist crew gathered in the living room, ready to head back to town.

Rei stood by the door, her eyes cold as ice when they landed on Nash, Jinzo, Mac, and Drex. No more faking, she displayed her disgust of mean in broad daylight.

She was all warmth with the girls, even from Blacklist, but when a guy would catch her eye, her smile would vanish, replaced by a glare that could turn someone into a stone.

This only amused Nash, glad that she was pissed after trying to trick him. He smirked, tossing a playful wink at Aiko, who stood stiffly by the wall.

Aiko's cheeks flushed red, tensing, arms crossed tight over her chest, then looked away quickly, her face getting redder.

Nash chuckled low, she was so adorable.

Hina was nowhere to be seen. Mac noticed first, his brow furrowing, voice low,

"Where's Hina?"

Rei's jaw clenched, her eyes flashing with barely-contained rage.

"Knocked out. Drank too much. She's out cold in her room."

Her tone was sharp, like she was spitting bullets. The Baby-Boom girls exchanged quick glances.

They were aware of the plan, and its total failure.

This guy is a fucking problem, Kai thought, picking at her nails with forced nonchalance.

She knew that in their scheme, it should have been either she or Hina. So, if Hina, the seductress of the group, the man-eater, got destroyed that badly, what were her chances?

Jaz, standing near the door, was a burst of energy. She handed her phone to Miko, exchanging contacts.

Jaz is cool… shame she's tied to them, Miko thought, sneaking a glance at the giantess.

The crew shuffled out, piling into the van waiting outside in the street. The air inside was heavy, Alicia and Nia slumped in their seats, heads in their hands, groaning through their misery.

"Never… drinking again…" Alicia muttered, her hair a tangled mess, eyes half-closed behind smudged eyeliner.

Nia nodded weakly, clutching a water bottle like a lifeline, her face pale.

"Fuck alcohol…"

Jaz, sitting next to Jinzo, was the opposite, bouncy, radiant, her tall frame taking up space as she rambled on.

"Last night was fuckin' amazing, y'all. The music, the vibe, those girls… so much fun! Felt like we were all just… alive, you know?"

She turned to Nash, her grin wide, eyes sparkling with admiration.

"Thanks for setting it up, Nash. You're the fuckin' man."

Her voice was warm, almost too warm, and Jinzo's hand tightened on his thigh, his face darkening.

Nash leaned back in his seat, casual as ever, tossing her a lazy grin.

"No big deal, Jaz. Glad you had a blast."

His eyes flicked to Sarra, who sat quietly by the window, her hands fidgeting in her lap.

"You good, Sarra?" he asked, voice softer.

Sarra smiled shyly.

"Yeah, Nash. Had a great time. Thanks for… you know, making it fun."

Her eyes met his, warm and a little shy. Nash nodded, relieved, but Jinzo's glare burned holes in him, his jaw tight with barely-contained anger.

But thankfully for him, when his mood was down, he could always count on his two henchmen.

Mac and Drex, sprawled in the back, piped up.

"Thanks for, thanks for... thanks for nothing! You fuckin' hypocrite," Mac snapped, his hair bouncing as he leaned forward, eyes narrowed. "You promised us something!"

Drex nodded, arms crossed tight.

"Yeah, you said we'd all get some action. What happened to that?"

Nash's jaw tightened, but he kept his cool. The system had pushed him to engage differently with people than his usual self, what if it needed him to befriend one of these two later?

He couldn't just blow them off. He leaned forward.

"Look, guys, I fucked up, I admit that. Got caught up in the moment, couldn't handle it all. But in my defense... I didn't really lie. There was an orgy, but y'all didn't jump in."

Mac scoffed.

"Orgy? You said Baby-Boom girls, not randos. You played us, you traitor."

Nash sighed, all gazes were on him and he knew it. He took a good breath and put on his more sincere and determined expression.

- Fake it till you make it.

"Alright, everyone. maybe I stretched the truth a bit. I haven't really be honest with you. My goal was to bring us together, have some fun, strengthen the squad. The mood's been shit lately... arguing, no trust... I just wanted quality time, you know? With you, with everyone, like a team... no, like a family."

He looked around him, confirming all eyes were on him.

"I really want to know you more, guys, we're a team, and I want us to be as close as Baby-Boom, to do things together, hangout, stuffs friends do. I want to remember the names of my friends, I don't want to forget about Landry anymore,"

Alicia frowned, rubbing her temple.

"Who's Landry?"

Nash blinked, then rose his hands dramatically.

"See? You get the idea." He leaned back, his voice reaching everyone, "We're Blacklist. We gotta be tight, not just on the court. I fucked up the execution, but I'm trying to keep us strong."

The girls nodded, Sarra smiling softly, what a leader her man was, Nia muttering "Makes sense," Jaz and Alicia smiled.

But on the other side of the coin, the guys weren't having this. Jinzo's eyes burned like coals, his voice dropping.

"That's all nice, Nash, but you still fucked Hina there."

There it was, the one thing Nash hadn't predicted. Silence immediately settled, all eyes widening, fixing Nash.

Nash's heart skipped a beat, his eyes wide.

How the fuck does he know?

It didn't take long for the clash to ignite.

Mac and Drex exploded.

"What?! You fucked Hina? You lying piece of shit!"

Jinzo leaned forward.

"Saw it myself. You railed her, didn't even care about the others. Liar."

Nia and Alicia's eyes widened. Nia almost stood up.

"Wait… you fucked someone?! How? Nash... How could you do that.."

Everything was about to go down, Mac and Drex grinned, finally getting some revenge.

"... Without me?" Nia pouted.

The boys turned toward Nia, the girl now acting like a betrayed criminal.

"How could you... you promised to rearrange our guts aggressively... How could you let us out?"

Sarra gulped, but shyly nodded, cheeks red.

"Um... Yeah… you said we'd all have... fun?"

Nash blinked, stunned, They're… mad they didn't get fucked? Nia, Alicia, even Sarra, they didn't look angry.... rather, vexed? Did he had reached a point he could literally do whatever he wanted and they'll be fine with it?

Whatever, it was unexpected, but very much welcomed.

Roll with it.

He raised his hands.

"Whoa, I don't fuck drunk girls. I'm a degenerate, yes, but not a criminal. In fact, I got caught up myself cause I was wasted. Not really proud of it."

Alicia whined louder.

"Ugh, we missed out! I want a turn now!"

Nia nodded.

"Yeah, right here on this van, let's go!"

They started to urgently remove their clothes, under the devastated gazes of Mac and Drex. How many time would they have to learn the hard way that this world was unfair?

Jaz stayed quiet, her eyes gleaming with excitation,

For her too, this night had been a missed chance for this particular situation, but now... Now maybe it would be her shot.

But just then, Jinzo's gaze locked on her.

She froze, then gasped, looking away shyly. Jinzo kept his eyes on her, daring her to try anything stupid, but the hearth wasn't there anyway.

… fucking irredeemable. He grumbled.

Nash sighed. He could have gone for another party, but there was a time and place for everything, and tonight, his ass was literally on the line.

"Girls, hold up. Save that energy for the match tonight. We gotta crush Baby-Boom, not fuck around. If we win that, then we'll talk about pounding."

The girls groaned but nodded, settling back in their seats, the tension lingering like a bad smell.

Jinzo's glare sharpened. He knew very well why Nash wanted to focus on this particular match, and that alone made him, unbeknownst to Nash, the most dangerous variable.

The van rolled up to their district, back to their usual life, hours before meeting at the hangar.

The crew spilled out, exchanging tired goodbyes. Nash walked Sarra to her hotel.

Through the way, she stayed close to him, her steps slow like she didn't want to leave, but soon they reached the hotel and had to part ways.

She smiled shyly, looking back at him.

"Guess you can't come up now… maybe just to wash up? Or… I could bake you something?"

Her thighs brushed his as she shifted.

Nash smirked.

"Don't tempt me, Sarra. Might say yes and we know what will happen," He leaned in, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear, his fingers grazing her cheek, warm and soft.

"Loved today… but if I come up, I'll do exactly what I told the team not to. Hypocrite ain't my style. But I didn't know you were into baking."

Sarra giggled, her eyes sparkling through her glasses.

"Baking's my thing… it makes me feel grounded. I could make you something next time, then? It'll blow your mind."

"Deal," Nash said, fixing a loose strand of her hair, fingers grazing her cheek.

They looked into each other eyes for long seconds, then, she started to walk away, their gaze not breaking.

She eventually reached the elevator, but just then, she spun back, rushing to him.

Her hands cupped his face, lips meeting his in a long, soft kiss.

Nash was surprised. It wasn't their first kiss, but this one felt different. No tongue, no saliva, just pure, tender pressure.

It was warm, innocent, like a message rather than passion, leaving him breathless as it lingered for seconds.

Pulling back, she blushed.

"I'll watch your match... good luck, Nash."

She hurried off to the elevator, waving as the doors closed, disappearing with a ding.

Nash stood there, staring at the closed doors for a moment, feeling the kiss as if it was still there. Then, hands in pockets, he started heading out.

As he reached the street, thoughts flooded him.

It was a simple act, one he did many times, but this one... Yeah, it was more powerful than any else, so much he felt lost for a moment.

He admitted to himself he was selfish, he had no real plans to settle, just riding the wave of power and pleasure.

This way of life was interesting, addictive even, but he wondered how long it would last.

This, he couldn't ignore anymore: Sarra had feelings for him, real feelins. She'd shown signs of jealousy during the party, her glances when he talked to others, the way she clung closer.

It could be bad to keep this way; he really planned to keep Zayela, his anchor, but Sarra was... such a great girl, kind, loyal, he didn't want to lose her either.

Maybe he shouldd be more careful about the girls around him; it was dangerous to imagine the consequences if everyone fell in love with him.

Hearts breaking, rivalries igniting, the team fracturing... it could all crash down.

Then he frowned, checking his phone.

His bank account stared back: 123,746 credits. No matter how much he was spending, it kept increasing.

He frowned deeper, did he really get this gift just to go all moral and live by some standard?

He wasn't a nice guy, nor a gentleman. He was a street rat who turned anything into his pleasure, bending the world to his will.

That was his reality, that was what he wanted to be. He clenched his fist, if a girl loved him, then he shall care about her, and he could, and would, make her life his design. No switching to hero mode; this path was his, and he'd pursue it relentlessly.

Selfish? Arrogant? Call that whatever you wanted, if he was born to be a hero, why giving me the tools to use people? The tools to change his appearance? Where was the good moral in that?

Righteousness could go to the lesson giver, he was a man made in a sky less street, and he would live the life he was made for.

His focus right now was tonight's match and Rei's destruction.
