Lu Shuangyue said nothing about Liu Ergou's lame excuse, simply turning to look at Mi Xiaoying.

"I am sure most of you recognize our guest, but for those who don't, allow me to make an introduction! This distinguished guest's surname is Mi. She is Mi Xiaoying, a well-known entrepreneur in our city! And this very seminar is sponsored by her! Now, please join me in welcoming President Mi!"

As he spoke, Master Gongsun began to clap. However, the crowd was not receptive. The applause was sparse and half-hearted. Clearly, most of those present were more curious about Mi Xiaoying's arrival than they were welcoming.

Mi Xiaoying, however, remained unfazed. She showed little reaction to the cold reception. She had grown accustomed to such situations and had faced far worse before. This display hardly registered.

After straightening her clothes, Mi Xiaoying stood up and addressed the room in a clear voice. "I imagine you are all a bit curious about my presence here today. And you are likely even more curious as to why I proposed holding a second seminar.

"I've always been a straightforward person. The reason for this seminar is quite simple: traditional Chinese medicine is in decline while Western medicine dominates! Seeing this situation pains me deeply. This is a national treasure passed down from our ancestors. How can we allow it to be suppressed by Western medicine, which comes from abroad?

At these words, every eye in the room focused on her. Seeing this, Mi Xiaoying couldn't help but let the corners of her mouth curve into a smile. This was exactly what she had anticipated.
