Seeing Liu Ergou walking outside, Wang Yanli instantly panicked.

"Er Gou, stop right there! Don't mess around! If you go outside, people will see us!"

Hearing Wang Yanli's words, Liu Ergou chuckled. "No, they won't. No one will see us! Don't worry!"

However, he once again failed to make it there, running into Hu Jing halfway. After a quick greeting, Liu Ergou intended to walk past her and continue on, but Hu Jing had no intention of letting him go. She grabbed his arm and began dragging him toward her house.

This left Liu Ergou feeling somewhat helpless. "Hu Jing, what are you doing? Let go, I have other things to do. I really don't want to go to your house!"

Just then, Hu Jing came out of a room holding an IOU, which she handed to Liu Ergou. After he took it, she sat down on his other side. Wu Guifang then sat down next to Liu Jingming. Now, everyone at the table had arrived.

Looking at the people around the table, a question sparked in Liu Ergou's mind. Something's not right. Someone's missing. Where's Hui Hui? Where did she go? School shouldn't have started this week, so why isn't she home?

Just as he was about to ask this, he was surprised to see Hu Jing pouring herself a glass of liquor, which made him momentarily forget about Hui Hui's whereabouts. "Hu Jing, what are you doing?"

With that, she raised her glass to Liu Ergou, her expression serious. "Er Gou, thank you for lending me 150,000 yuan for my startup capital!"

She then downed her glass in one go and calmly sat back down. Seeing this, Liu Ergou couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.
