Doctor and His Glamorous Sister-in-Law

At the thought, Liu Ergou's greedy gaze swept over Xu Yulan's body, finally resting on her luscious red lips.

Before Xu Yulan could react, Liu Ergou stepped forward and grabbed her hand, speaking in a near-coquettish tone. "Sister-in-law, I'm feeling so pent up, what should I do? You can't just leave me to suffer! You have to help me!"

The words startled Xu Yulan. "Er Gou," she said hurriedly, "you promised me. You can't do anything rash."

"Sister-in-law, you know my situation..."

"Ah, Sister-in-law, you're overthinking it," Liu Ergou cut her off. "I said I wouldn't touch you, and I won't, but…" he trailed off, chuckling mischievously.

Xu Yulan was no naive bunny; she instantly understood his implication. She shot him a flirtatious, reproachful glance and knelt, about to help him.

However, at that crucial moment, a call came from the yard.

"Er Gou! Are you home, Er Gou?!"

"If you're there, come out for a second! I have something urgent for you!"

Liu Ergou raised an eyebrow at the sound. That's Wu Guifang's voice. Why is she looking for me all of a sudden? What could she possibly want?

He turned to Xu Yulan. "Sister-in-law, wait here. I'll go see what's going on." Without giving her a chance to reply, he turned and walked out of the room.

Xu Yulan watched him go, stamping her foot in frustration. She muttered resentfully to herself, What's gotten into that old hag, suddenly looking for Er Gou? Hmph, so annoying! Interrupting our private time!

With a sigh, she took off her nightgown and changed back into her regular clothes. But as she was about to leave, her gaze fell upon the other two new garments Liu Ergou had bought. She couldn't resist picking them up for a closer look and immediately blushed.

Oh my, why would Er Gou buy clothes like this? They're so shameless! How could anyone wear these out in public?!

After her outburst, Xu Yulan quickly stuffed the three items into the back of her wardrobe and left to get back to work. Even as she did, her mind kept drifting back to the scandalous clothing.

「By this time, Liu Ergou had already stepped outside the courtyard.」

Wu Guifang was waiting for him. The moment he appeared, she grabbed his arm without a word and started pulling him away.

This caught Liu Ergou completely off guard. "Auntie, Auntie! Hold on, wait a minute! Where are you dragging me? At least say something instead of just yanking me away! If we weren't from the same village, I'd think you were trying to harvest my kidneys!"

Hearing his complaint, Wu Guifang rolled her eyes dramatically. "You really know how to play innocent after getting what you want, don't you! Just come with your auntie. I've got something good for you!"

Saying this, she shot him a suggestive look.

Liu Ergou understood instantly and let out a sly chuckle. "Oh, so that's what this is about, Auntie! Then where are we going?"

Wu Guifang thought for a moment before answering. "Let's go. How about the old ruined temple at the edge of the village? We're both familiar with that spot, and we can..."

"Auntie, you've got to be kidding me," Liu Ergou interrupted. "Going to the ruined temple in broad daylight is just asking for trouble! Let's be a bit more practical, alright? Besides, my clinic is still under construction over in the east village. If we go to the temple, we're bound to be caught!"

Liu Ergou's words brought Wu Guifang back to her senses. She slapped her forehead, thought for another moment, and then carefully suggested, "How about my family's cornfield?"

Liu Ergou felt a sarcastic comment on the tip of his tongue. But on second thought, the cornfield really is a better idea than the temple. At least the cornfield is big. If someone shows up, we can get away. We'd be completely trapped in that temple with nowhere to run.

Thinking this, Liu Ergou nodded. "Fine, your cornfield it is, Auntie! You go on ahead. I'll follow in a bit. We need to go separately!"

Wu Guifang wasn't a fool. She understood what he meant and immediately set off toward the cornfield without a second thought. Liu Ergou waited until she was a good distance away before he, too, casually started in the same direction.

「It was now afternoon, and the daylight was beginning to fade.」

At this hour, the streets were mostly empty. Smoke curled from the chimneys of the village houses as people started cooking dinner. Liu Ergou and Wu Guifang walked along the path, keeping a great distance between them. When they reached a fork, they split up. Liu Ergou wasn't bailing on her; he was just taking a detour.

Soon, after a few turns, he slipped into Wu Guifang's family cornfield, found a clear spot, and squatted down to wait.

About fifteen minutes later, Wu Guifang's figure appeared among the stalks.

"Auntie?" Liu Ergou called out softly to confirm it was her.

"Er Gou!" came the quick reply.

They followed the sounds of each other's voices and quickly found one another. The moment they were together, Wu Guifang threw herself into his arms and, with practiced ease, began to unbuckle his belt.

Liu Ergou didn't stop her. Instead, he asked with a laugh, "Auntie, why are you in such a hurry? Have you been feeling pent-up lately?"

Wu Guifang didn't answer, her focus entirely on his belt. Ever since their last encounter, she had often found herself thinking back to their night in the ruined temple. The recollection was no small thing. The fire that had finally died down flared up again, burning even hotter than before. She slept restlessly, her dreams filled with Liu Ergou. She was constantly consumed with the thought of being with him again.
