Doctor and His Glamorous Sister-in-Law

Feng Chunling's words were a naked insult.

Upon hearing this, Liu Ergou's face turned green. How could someone say such a thing?

"Damn it, Feng Chunling! I'm going to tear your mouth apart today and teach you how to speak properly!"

With that, Liu Ergou charged forward in a fury.

It was only then that Feng Chunling realized she had misspoken, but it was too late to take any of it back. Just as Liu Ergou was about to reach her, Xu Yulan hurriedly stepped forward to block his path.

"Ergou, let it go. Just let it go."

"Don't be angry. She didn't mean what she said, so don't take it to heart!"

"Shut up, Sister-in-law!" Liu Ergou replied irritably. "How was that unintentional? She was clearly targeting us!"

"I have to teach this old woman a lesson today. I'm going to show her I'm not so easy to bully!"

Hearing this, Feng Chunling didn't dare say another word. Clutching the two mangled, bloody ducks, she fled as if on wings.

Liu Ergou started to give chase but was once again stopped by Xu Yulan.

"Ergou, let it go. It's not worth holding a grudge over this!"

Hearing his sister-in-law's words, Liu Ergou couldn't help but snort coldly. His sister-in-law was wonderful in every way, except she was far too kind and gentle, which meant anyone felt they could push her around. When faced with trouble, she would rather swallow her grievances than speak up.

Seeing how furious Liu Ergou was, Xu Yulan quickly began trying to calm him down. After some gentle persuasion, his anger finally subsided a little, though the possibility of another eruption remained. But Liu Ergou couldn't be blamed; Feng Chunling's words had been truly vicious.

Looking at Liu Ergou, Xu Yulan sighed deeply and forcefully dragged him back into the room.

However, just as the two sat down and before they could speak, a familiar voice came from outside the door.

"Ergou, Ergou, are you home?"

At the sound of this voice, Xu Yulan's heart skipped a beat. What kind of day is this? First the commotion with that shrew Feng Chunling, and now someone else shows up. And it was the village chief's wife, Wu Guifang, of all people.

When Liu Ergou heard it was Wu Guifang, however, he showed no sign of panic. Instead, a smile touched his lips.

He turned to Xu Yulan and said with a grin, "Sister-in-law, someone's here for me. I'll just go see who it is. I'll be right back!"

Without another moment's hesitation, Liu Ergou walked outside.

When he got to the courtyard, he found Wu Guifang standing in the middle of the yard, a smile on her face, dressed in very light clothing.

As Liu Ergou approached her, he feigned a little surprise.

"Oh? Auntie Wu, what brings you here all of a sudden?"

Staring at the sturdy Liu Ergou before her, Wu Guifang couldn't help but swallow. Clutching her chest, she feigned a pained expression and said, "Oh, Ergou, I don't know what's wrong, but I've been having these chest pains lately. Could you come over to my place and check it out for me?"

Looking at her, Liu Ergou knew perfectly well that her "chest pain" was just an excuse; she clearly had something else in mind. With this thought, he shouted back toward the room.

"Sister-in-law, I'm going to go treat Auntie Wu! I'll be back when I'm done, don't you worry!"

With that, Liu Ergou left with Wu Guifang.

From the window, Xu Yulan watched them leave, one after the other. Initially, she didn't think much of it, but for some reason, a ridiculous idea popped into her head.

Are Ergou and Wu Guifang having an affair?

The thought startled her as soon as it formed. How could I have such an outrageous idea?

Shaking her head, Xu Yulan smiled helplessly, turned from the window, and went back inside, trying to put the matter out of her mind.

Meanwhile, Liu Ergou and Wu Guifang walked down the road. An unspoken understanding passed between them. A single glance was all it took for each to know what the other wanted.

Soon enough, they arrived at the dilapidated temple at the east end of the village. Even though it was daytime, few people ever passed this way. Inside the temple was a hidden corner that no one would ever find unless they were looking for it carefully.

Once they arrived, Wu Guifang impatiently threw herself at Liu Ergou. And as for the meal that had just been served to him, Liu Ergou certainly wasn't one to be polite; he dove right in.

After a good while, Wu Guifang and Liu Ergou finally settled down. She lay nestled in his arms, savoring the lingering sensations.

Just then, Liu Ergou suddenly spoke up. "Auntie, can I ask you something?"

Startled from her reverie, Wu Guifang replied, "What is it, Ergou?"

"It's nothing major, Auntie. I just want to know if anyone has contracted the village's wasteland."

The moment Liu Ergou asked his question, Wu Guifang immediately perked up.

"Why the sudden interest in that, Ergou?"

Liu Ergou didn't hide his intentions. He said directly, "It's no big deal. I'm thinking of contracting some of it and leading the village to prosperity. That's all!"

Hearing this, Wu Guifang's expression changed as she looked at him. She had never imagined he would have such an ambition; it was quite a surprise.

But surprise aside, she didn't forget to answer his question. "No one's contracted the wasteland in our village."

"You know how it is here. Nobody's short on land, so who would be foolish enough to contract the wasteland?"

Hearing her words, Liu Ergou nodded. It made sense, so he didn't press the matter. If I kept asking, she probably wouldn't know much more anyway. Better to wait and talk to Liu Jingming directly tomorrow!

With that thought, Liu Ergou rolled on top of her again.

He resumed "treating" Wu Guifang. This time, he used all his strength, holding nothing back. This all-out treatment made Wu Guifang cry out that she couldn't take it, but how could Liu Ergou possibly pay her any mind? He was completely focused on his task.

As a result, the "treatment" continued all the way until evening.

Come nightfall, Wu Guifang finally left, limping and looking back every few steps as she reluctantly parted ways with Liu Ergou.
