He took several steps back before Liu Ergou could clearly make out the person facing him.

Who else could it be if not Lu Shuangyue?

Seeing the panicked look on Liu Ergou's face, Lu Shuangyue let out a giggle.

"HAHAHA, what's wrong, Er Gou? Are you scared?"

Hearing Lu Shuangyue's words, Liu Ergou rolled his eyes exaggeratedly. "Who wouldn't be scared with you getting that close? Anyone who isn't must be a fool!"

His somewhat reproachful words only made Lu Shuangyue laugh more heartily. "HAHAHA, I didn't expect you to be such a scaredy-cat, tsk tsk tsk!"

Liu Ergou didn't react much to her words, instead bringing up what had happened the previous night. "Stop mocking me. Let's talk about you. Do you remember what happened last night?"

As soon as he spoke, Lu Shuangyue's expression froze. It took several seconds for her to react, and when she did, the smile on her face twisted into a ferocious scowl.

"How could I forget! That damn Yuan Wenkang, I never thought he could be so despicable! He actually drugged me! Damn it, I won't let him get away with this! Where is he now!"

Saying this, Lu Shuangyue leaped out of bed, ready to settle the score with Yuan Wenkang. In her agitation, she failed to notice her current state. At that moment, she didn't have a stitch on; she was completely bare.

Her sudden movement put her magnificent figure on full display before Liu Ergou. His eyes nearly popped out, and he couldn't help but swallow hard with a GULP.

Hearing the sound, Lu Shuangyue turned her head to look at Liu Ergou. When she saw him staring intently at her, she finally realized she wasn't wearing any clothes.

"AH!" she screamed and scrambled back onto the bed.

"Stop looking, stop looking! Close your eyes, I'm not dressed!" she snapped at him, annoyed.

Her words snapped Liu Ergou back to his senses, and he let out a sly chuckle. "Hehehe, what's happened has happened. What's there to be embarrassed about?"

At his words, Lu Shuangyue couldn't help but blush. The memory of Yuan Wenkang drugging her was vivid, but what followed was hazy. Liu Ergou's prompting made those blurry memories gradually sharpen in her mind. Thinking of it made her pretty face turn beet red.

Seeing Lu Shuangyue in such a tempting state, Liu Ergou couldn't help but swallow again.

Just as she was about to say something, he suddenly stepped forward and embraced her, snickering. "Shuang Yue, I feel like the poison hasn't been completely purged. Let me help you with it again!"

Without giving Lu Shuangyue a chance to speak, Liu Ergou sealed her lips with his own.

As the two of them tussled, time slipped by, and before they knew it, it was noon.

After a morning of battle, Lu Shuangyue lay limp on the bed, staring despairingly at the ceiling. She didn't want to move at all; she just wished to lie there and rest properly. Last night, she hadn't thought Liu Ergou was particularly formidable, but now that she was clear-headed, she realized the truth.

That Liu Ergou is like a beast. He never stops. So incredible, yet so frightening.

In contrast, Liu Ergou still looked as energetic as ever, as if nothing had happened.

"Er Gou... you're... monstrous..." Lu Shuangyue murmured softly.

Liu Ergou didn't say anything, only smiled. Then, he lay down to rest with her.

After resting for a good while, Lu Shuangyue finally managed to sit up. Liu Ergou took this opportunity to ask, "Shuang Yue, what do you plan to do next? And how are you going to deal with Yuan Wenkang?"

As soon as he spoke, Lu Shuangyue's expression immediately darkened. "What else can I do? I can only take it one step at a time! As for that Yuan Wenkang, let's just ignore him for now. Let him be. That's all we can do at the moment."
