DND Realms: The Rise of the Titan-Dragon Prodigy

Chapter 419: Chapter 419: The Barrier of Legend

"What regret is that?" Muria's forehead bulged with veins. "I am a boy, not a girl, so that disappointed you? I'm really sorry then!"

"Ah, little Muria, if you feel guilty and want to comfort your mother's wounded heart, you can do so now." Gold Dragon Mother Atreus, holding the exceptionally well-behaved Indira, sized up Muria.

"What do you want me to do?" Even though he knew it was a joke, curiosity got the better of Muria, and he played along.

"You look a bit like me. No need for shaping eyebrows or eyeliner, plus our natural gold dragon scent. If you put on a beautiful dress, you could absolutely pass as a lovely girl."

"Cross-dressing!" Muria's face darkened, exasperated by such a bizarre interest from a dignified gold dragon.

"Little Muria, why not give it a try? You put on a pretty dress, I'll give you a little makeover, and you could become a stunning beauty that would captivate thousands like me."

"Impossible." Muria didn't even consider it, flatly rejecting such an absurd request.

"Really no way?" Gold Dragon Mother Atreus looked at Muria somewhat regretfully. Although it was a sudden idea, it seemed like it could be quite fun if possible.

"I don't want to engage in such frivolous fantasies." Muria gave Gold Dragon Mother a cold look. "Do you think my father would ever wear your dresses?"

A Titan who ran into the abyss with a spear, hunting demon lords to hone his martial skills, wearing a dress? The image was so absurd that Gold Dragon Mother immediately dismissed it from her mind. Her mate would never do such a thing.

"Impossible, right." Muria's expression was blank, but sparks danced in his eyes—a sign of his great emotional agitation. "I'm half a Titan, so it's just as impossible for me."

"Little Muria, there's nothing absolute in this world; everything is possible if the timing is right. Even mortals can slay gods under the right circumstances," Gold Dragon Mother delivered a piece of wisdom.

"But what does that have to do with Muria wearing a girl's dress?" Indira, held in Gold Dragon Mother's arms, asked in her childlike voice.

"Because it's something that could potentially become reality." Gold Dragon Mother Atreus looked ever more pleased with Indira's appearance. Ignoring the strange and overbearing aura about her, this little loli could perfectly fill the void of not having a daughter.

With her father's advancement to Dragon King and another rise in the dragon lineage, her hopes of having another offspring with the increasingly powerful Ansol were dwindling.

The stronger the individual life form, the lower the probability of producing offspring. This is an eternal law of nature. Offspring represent the continuation of a lineage, a kind of alternative immortality for the species.

Thus, those short-lived species possess such exaggerated reproductive capabilities because they are too fragile and perish easily. To extend the survival of their lineage, they must reproduce desperately.

In the pyramid of life, the higher the position, the lower the fertility rate. Ancient dragons lose reproductive capabilities not because they lose that ability, but because their level of life is approaching a stage where they no longer need offspring to continue their lineage.

Dragons defy common biological traits, such as after reaching maturity, their physical functions decline. Aging does not exist for dragons.

From birth to death, dragons continuously grow, maintaining vibrant vitality. A dragon's life is divided into twelve age stages, where the so-called old age and very old age are just terms to mislead others.

Those who think dragons weaken during these stages are fools. If you believe it, after surviving their magical bombardments, their powerful bodies will crush any doubts about their strength.

These stages describe not so much the physical state of the dragons but rather their ideological changes. Upon entering old age, dragons' thoughts become mature and steady, and their actions tend to be conservative, no longer as reckless as in their youth.

This is true for metallic dragons and the chromatic dragon species alike. Even the most temperamental and arrogant red dragons become much steadier in old age, like when Muria forcibly subdued the old red dragon, Autolain.

"Finally, she's gone," Muria, sitting at his desk, breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing Gold Dragon Mother leave with Indira. A quiet Gold Dragon Mother truly possessed the demeanor of a gold dragon—powerful, dignified, and noble.

But the moment Gold Dragon Mother spoke, that demeanor was utterly shattered, giving off an erratic vibe. Her thinking was so unconventional; she hardly seemed like a typical gold dragon.

"A Titan is coming soon," Muria rubbed his temples, somewhat headache. "When exactly? It's too vague, hard to plan."

The concept of time for beings with long lifespans is

completely different from that of short-lived species. "In a while," for humans, could mean half a day or a few days, at most a month. But for long-lived species, decades can be considered a brief period.

In the following days, Muria practiced his cloning technique and continued to rigorously train his strength amid his administrative duties, aiming to fully control the power surge from devouring the Heart of Elements before his father's arrival.

Afterwards, all the good and bad changes in his body would reflect in the Ring of Soul Intent, a manifestation of soul and power. Without a secret technique, it's nearly impossible to conceal, and Muria had not yet found such a technique in his inheritance.

In the Titan heritage, most knowledge pertains to combat, with auxiliary battle techniques and secret arts like the Soul-binding Clone Technique being rare.

Muria felt that if his father Ansol saw him now, his fate might not be very good. Since combat is one of the best ways to control power, his father would probably not mind giving him a taste of paternal affection's heaviness and greatness.

Thinking of the potential consequences, Muria wiped the non-existent sweat from his forehead. Fighting against a Titan much stronger than himself held no pleasure, only unilateral abuse.

"When will I advance and break through the legendary barrier to become a Legendary Titan?" Muria murmured to himself. At the peak of Soul Intent, he was touching the edge of legend, but the thick shackles of the barrier filled him with despair, knowing he had no hope of forcibly breaking through anytime soon.
