Divine Artifact in a Scientific World

Chapter 266: Robin on the grass (1)

Jack started paddling towards the pier, and Robin followed.

Once they reached the pier and climbed out of the water, he led her towards the bungalow.

"You haven't seen the waterfall yet. We can go talk there," he said as they walked.

"Won't it be too loud?" she asked.

"No, it's a small waterfall and rather quite so it won't interfere."

Once they were past the bungalow and on the trail that led to the waterfall, she said, "I talked to my grandparents about what you said."

"And?"

He'd hoped she would, but hadn't suggested it to her because he was worried she might refuse out of stubbornness if he did.

She sighed. "They mostly agreed with you."

"Mostly?" He was curious in what ways they might have disagreed.

"Grandpa laughed when I told him what you said about it, but Grandma said there was no such thing as a wedding industrial complex."

"Did they disagree with anything else?"

"No," she said, subdued.

"Does it bother you that they agreed with me?"

"It did at first. A lot. The worst was when Grandma said, 'The more desperate you are to hear someone say I love you, the more likely you are to believe the words, especially when they are a lie."

He nodded. That tracked with what Fran and Jacob had told him. If you feel loved, you won't need to hear the words. But if you don't feel loved, the words would probably be a lie.

"And now?" he asked.

"I talked to some of the other instructors at the academy. Some agreed with you; some didn't. But when I dug deeper, I realized that all the ones that agreed were older and had been through at least one divorce."

"Then," she continued, "I talked to a counselor at school. She said, everyone has their own love language, and that it was important to take the time to learn each other's preferred language. But when I pointed out that one of the languages was words of affirmation, she surprised me."

"How so?" he asked.

"She said that words of affirmation were things like giving encouragement or expressing appreciation, and that while saying I' love you' might technically qualify, it was such an easy thing to say that it held little value."

She huffed. "I wanted to disagree with her, but then she gave me a bunch of examples of other ways someone could express love through words, and they all felt so much more real. And it reminded me of things my grandparents had said to me."

"So, is your love language words of affirmation?"

She laughed. "No. She had me take the test, and it turns out my primary love language is quality time. Though, she did say that can change over time."

"I'll try to remember that," he said seriously.

They stepped out onto the lawn at the edge of the waterfall pool, and she gasped.

"Oh, wow! This is beautiful. And you're right. It's not nearly as loud as I expected."

They still needed to raise their voices a little to be heard. But not nearly to the point of yelling.

She turned and grabbed him in a tight hug.

"Thank you, Jack, for not... for spending time with me. You have all these other girls you could be spending time with, and you still made time for me. Is it selfish of me that the main reason I want you to soul bond me is so I can spend more time with you?"

"No. If you said you just wanted the bond so you could spend my money, then I would think that was selfish. But I don't think it's selfish for you to want to spend time with me. Or at least not selfish in a bad way."

"So... will you soul bond me?"

"Are you comfortable sharing me with all my other girls? Seeing me hug and kiss other girls, walking into a room to find me balls deep in someone other than you. Possibly going days without spending any time with me."

"Yes. I think I'll be fine with it. Even being away from you for several days should be fine if what the girls said about your soul hug is true."

"Okay. So, there's one last thing to discuss. Madison didn't want her first time to be here in my soul space. She wanted it to be out in the physical world. So..."

"Um, Jack?"

"What?"

"I'm not a virgin."

"Okay, does that mean you don't mind our first time being here, now, in my soul space?"

"No, not at all. I just wish we could have done it sooner."

"The soul bond?"

"No! Sex!" She huffed. "I wanted you that day we talked in the hotel room, but it didn't seem like the right time, and you never made a move after that. I was getting worried you were losing interest."

Damn. He was so used to girls making their interest obvious that he forgot that it's not normal for that to happen. Fran had tried to tell him about the more subtle ways girls communicated interest, but he hadn't needed to use any of that knowledge.

"Oops. Sorry. I've had girls practically throwing themselves at me, and I forgot that's not normal."

She stood on her toes, grabbed his face, and kissed him, shoving her tongue into his mouth.

After a few moments, she pulled back and asked, "Better?"

He looked down at his growing manhood. Seeing him look down, she followed his gaze.

On seeing his response, she said, "I guess that answers that question."

She grabbed the back of his head with one hand, and his ass with the other, and resumed kissing him.

He reached down and grabbed her tight, perky ass with both hands and lifted her up, causing his shaft to slide between her lower lips.

"Mmmm," she moaned into his mouth.

After kissing for a few moments, she pulled back and said, "Fuck me, Jack. Fuck me with your massive cock. Fill me with your soul bond."
