Chapter 82: Chapter 82

Yvette looked at the bullet still with it's shell on the guy wondering what Andrew would do with it. 'Maybe it was the correct answer?' She thought however something she hadn't anticipated happened.

She saw the bullet being absorbed by the head of the guy on his knees who had a scarred face, probably from numerous fights, dressed in tatters and a repugnant aura around him. Despite all this, she didn't want to kill him however she couldn't chose whether to save him or not.

The bullet had fully sunk into this guy's head. "What did you do? Did you make his body absorb that bullet?" She whispered in fear hoping not to agitate him should she talk in a loud voice. "Simple. That harmless bullet as we speak is not absorbed into his body but rather I'm focusing it to forcefully penetrate his body from his head all the way down."

'What?' She shivered wondering at the thought. The bullet was slowly passing through the man's skull, brain as it made it's way down his neck, tearing his lungs and stomach till it finally came out of his arse. The man at first screamed however he came to a deadly silence. He had already died however Andrew suspended his body making it look as if it was still alive.

*Clank*

The bullet hit the cold stone hard floor and Andrew broke off from Yvette. She lost that comforting and safe feeling as the man collapsed to her legs, his eyes dead open looking up her skirt making her shirk away in fear then look at Andrew.

...

The entire place was at a loss for words of what had happened. They saw him place a bullet on the guy's head then the person fell to the floor, dead. "Uhh...Well those are our winners against the Snake brothers." The commentator said, perplexed with the results.

The metal door opened once more and Andrew walked through it, Yvette followed him due to fear and instead of the dark cubicle they were in earlier, this time they saw numerous contenders in the red lights as they all cast wary eyes towards them.

There were numerous screens all over mounted portraying the arena so it was clear that they had witnessed the whole thing. Andrew ignored them and walked to an empty seat and sat as he looked at Yvette who scurried after him, like a dog with it's new owner.

He offered her a seat to which she sat. Unlike Andrew, she could barely breathe fine as the pressure was making her collapse. She felt something warm touch her hand as a flow of current coursed through her body. Once again it was Andrew.

She felt strangely relaxed with his touch as he ran his fingers across her hands. "Have...have you ever...killed someone?" She asked wondering that there was no way he could be this calm at the sight of corpses.

He looked at her before looking away, tit would seem with the intention of not answering to which she couldn't force him to answer. "Yes. Many people even before the event." She was horrified with his response as she had a shocked expression on her face however she couldn't find herself to pull her hand away from his.

"However it would seem that you haven't to which maybe after this,I could teach you and help you with your debt." He said with a smile which had a devilish and alluring charm to it. 'Wait! How does he know about the debt?'

She wondered but before she could voice her thoughts, another voice interrupted them.

"Why are these kids making out here?" From the voice,it sounded agitated and disgusted at the sight. Yvette looking at the source saw a man in his middle thirties,he had a rough face, donned with a lot of black military armoury on him.

He had an annoyed face witnessing the sappy scenario happening right in front of him. Sure he was a little frightened by the kid but seeing the lady and how they acted, they seemed to be in a relationship. That and they were the youngest here. "We're not in a relationship!!" Yvette seemed to burst out breaking the contact with Andrew.

He withdrew his hand back to his green hoodie and buried himself within it. 'It's a shame that killing other competitors in here will amount to death but that is in early situations.'

When a person didn't have that much money placed on him and do something stupid, like killing another contestor,it could result in their death however later on,this rule is dismissed.

He decided to ignore the world around him and drown himself with his own muses.

...

"Fear should be back." He heard a voice and it's source was Hedonism. As always with his trademark sly mask and red robes. "So he should be done, huh?" Andrew muttered. According to the original plot,he should have been 'dead' along time ago however he decided to extend his stay however he knew that he couldn't stay here for long.

So Fear decided to take his place and along with the other four form the prime echelon however this time,he strictly ensured that his face wasn't revealed to anyone with the scenes playing out equivalent to the original with minimal changes.

"You seem interested with that girl." Hedonism changed the topic and Andrew knew which girl he spoke of. "A blank canvas to which I can paint whatever I want." He said as the two looked at Yvette. "And by what you want, you mean some toy, right?" Hedonism added as the smile on his mask seemed to widen.

Andrew never knew what it was made off but it seemed like travertine combined with wood. "Pretty much." He knew that there was no reason to lie. "What surprises me is that she expected to win with her ability?!" Andrew said.

He knew her ability and it wasn't exactly an offensive one but helpful considering that she wouldn't be involved in the fighting. "A girl hoping to claim victory with only space manipulation as her skill.

At first it sounded extremely powerful to which it was but the problem deeming it near worthless is that she has almost no control over it. She could be a dangerous individual if well brought up however she had too much on her plate so she never had the time to focus on it.

At most what she could teleport was a glass of water upto two meters before resting. Sure in close combat,it could prove lethal however she had no skill in fighting or manipulating it to begin with so it was pointless.

"There are 'opportunities' laid all over the world to help people culminate their skills so it should serve as a good excuse to raise her level." Hedonism said before vanishing from the white static void.

'It would seem that some manifest as fruits, some as cores from mutated animals and others in form of rifts but the last is helpful with specific people such as her. The closest one isn't even in this country!'

Andrew planned as he instantly knew all kinds of resources helpful to the two girls. For Ashley,it wasn't that hard however for Yvette,it would take time and he,even though on a deadline, wasn't in a rush to acquire it.

He emerged out of the white static void for him to see Yvette tensed in her seat as she looked at the monitor. That man from earlier seemed to be going against two people however it would seem that his opponents weren't gifted.

The man named Reece, however the crowd knew him as "Black Panda." He was big, full of girth making him slow however that this was covered with his damage. He was gifted with a very perculior ability which was that he was able to increase the gravity of a certain range of field without him being affected by it much.

At first it made no sense as to why he was so heavily armoured however Andrew knew why. To maintain defense as he was running alone on the arena with no one to watch his back so he had to be careful. Also the suit on the outside was a cover-up of what he hid beneath which would help him counter the gravitational effects.

His ability worked such that he would feel 1/10 of the gravitational force experienced around him. So in a regular situation, his body was ten times lighter than his opponents however this would prove fatal to his cardiac system due to the new gravitational pressure to he had amplify the gravity around him to stabilize his system.

This there was always a hazy and dense atmosphere around him which his opponents would find a real issue as not only movement would be hindered but also staying under such an influence would greatly affect their blood pressure making them pass out even before making a move.

And that was the case in his current situation, his opponents seemed fixed in place as they started to fall to their feet under the gravitational potential. "Ahhh!" They cursed him before losing their consciousness and even in their unconsciousness,he still continued to apply this tremendous pressure.

Why? There was a death penalty for a person who fell unconscious and failed to get up within ten seconds as after the match, they would be executed.

...

"And we have our winner!! Black Panda!!!" The commentator spoke as the crowd went into a frenzy as the Black Panda went back to the lobby. "Who do you think would win between the Black Panda and that kid?" A member of the crowd asked his comrade.

"Is that even a question? Of course it's the Black Panda. He'll immobilize him and crush him instantly." The other retorted.

"Alright folks! From now on,there are only gifted so things should get interesting!!" He fueled the anticipation of the crowd.

...

"It should be smooth sailing from here." Andrew said as he heard the news from the commentator. "But from now on we'll be facing people who are gifted so how will it be easy?" Yvette asked.

"I'll show you." He said as the referee seemed to signal for them to follow them to which they did. As they exited the hub, they saw the Black Panda who had a sadistic smile on his face. He looked at the duo managing to scare Yvette who walked further away from him hiding behind Andrew.

'It's clear that he along with everyone thinks that we're related so they'll try to attack her first to gain the upper advantage as they know that she doesn't know how to fight making her easy prey.' Andrew thought as he emerged out to the arena.

Yvette seemed scared as she kept on clinging onto him thus he had to take things slow. "Why is she with him?" Some thought. They knew that he truly was a deadly opponent but that girl with him was clearly slowing him down.

Gambler with contenders in the ring usually got their own secluded rooms to perfectly see the competition.

'I didn't expect that girl to be so worthless.'Dirk thought as he watched them on the arena. 'But luckily that kid seems to know what he's doing.' He smirked as he laid back in his seat. "Hey Dirk, where did you get that kid?" A comrade of him asked.

The guy was almost the same age as him and the two had been acquainted for a long time. He had a blue suit on,a weary face and bald. His name was Wade. He had a garage downtown which in itself was a money laundering site but his real income was here.

"It would seem that your guy is going to face my team,so how about a little side wager, five grand. If your kid wins with no sitches, you'll win however should he even get a single scratch, I'll win." He proposed however Dirk frowned.

Sure he had faith in Andrew however small cuts and bruises weren't guaranteed that he'd stay unharmed in the long run. However,he had a vague feeling, gamblers instinct that he'd win. "Double it, I'm feeling lucky." Dirk smiled as he pulled out ten grand. "Very well." Wade smiled as he too fished out an equivalent amount and placing it on the table present.
