"I don't know." Taking the relaxing cruise through their way back into a race against time. "You don't have to go this fast!" Andrew said looking at the speedometer. It was at 130mph and still rising. "There are no cops this far out so chill,okay." Ashley said with a relaxed look on her face. Andrew wasn't actually scared just making her aware of what she was doing. 'Another prank perhaps? This girl certainly is relentless.' He said as he looked out the window to see only a blur of the foliage they left behind.

*Thirty minutes later*

They were out of the forest and now heading into the city. Before they got to the core,there were large tracts of land seemed to be isolated specifically for farming. As far as the eye could see,there were different types of crops grown. Still Ashley's driving spree didn't stop. Andrew reached out for the radio scanning through the channels for anything worth his time. He finally found what he was looking for pretty quickly since it would seem that all channels were discussing the same topic. The sound of a male presenter was heard beside the roar of the engine, suffering under Ashley's control.

"It has been reported that there have been cases of individuals who have inhumane abilities. Scientists are still in shock of what the black hole from earlier was wondering why the earth wasn't sucked in. '"This is all illogical." They said. As for those gifted with these abilities,some have used it for the greater good while others for their personal gain. There have been cases of prison outbreaks and a significant rise in crime." Andrew and Ashley looked at each other. "The world is descending into chaos,where the strongest will be on top while those less sure to face doom." Andrew said.

The voice of the presenter persisted, "Folks,the president has decided to make a national declaration and currently relaying a method to deal with the issue at hand." There was a change of voices and now the voice of the president was heard. "For those with these abilities will be closely monitored and are expected to offer no resistance to the greater good, instead they should be a beacon of hope to those less privileged." He paused for a moment before resuming "A special task force specifically constituted of these "gifted" will be deployed all over the country to cope with the situation at hand..." Ashley suddenly turned the radio off.

*Screech*

She brought the car to a screeching halt. "Oh! Great! As if regular cops weren't a problem at hand and now we have to deal with supercops,ugh!" She complained and Andrew knew why,it would definitely be difficult for them to go on their sprees with such freaks running around. He didn't know what kind of skills were issued but he was the greatest threat and the strongest by being the weakest,that's all he cared about with these developments. 'I highly doubt that it is elemental based. It would be too boring that way. Not to mention it would seem that there were breachers even before my stunt. I'm sure they won't hesitate to manipulate this to heir advantage.'

He stretched out his hand in an attempt to turn the radio back on.

*Slap*

Ashley slapped his hand,"Andrew,we may have a big problem on our hands. We were lucky that we weren't figured out with the stringet of murders however we have to be more careful." She said cautiously. "Hmm." He said lazily. Ashley glared at him as if he wasn't aware of what was going around,"Did you not hear what I just said? Get this through your..." Andrew laughed it off. "Look, we'll be okay and I promise. As for abilities, I'm sure that we'll have great abilities so don't worry that little head of yours." He said before patting her head to which she put on a pouting face.

Ashley brushed it off and Andrew turned on the radio again,"...Monsters causing havoc. Some of them are the regular animals but even they have been affected similar to us resulting to a lot of casualties. While others are completely different as they seem to come from the ground and the sea. They have no relatable features and it is advised should you encounter one,that you should contact the police for help." Andrew with a small smile,"Well at least the cops will be busy." Ashley sarcastically remarked,"Yeah!" Andrew noticed something as he looked far away and so did Ashley. "Drive!!!"

*Grumble*

The car shot from it's parked position before regaining it's earlier speed I not more. There was a loud and numerous cracks that appeared all over and the two seeing the phenomenon from afar saw strange creatures emerge from the ground. They had brown bodies which seemed to resemble a wolf however extremely malnourished. They had really sharp claws that seemed to help them bury deep into the ground. Their eyes were jet black with long bare and bony snouts and perked up ears. Unlike the size of a wolf,they were extremely tall ranging upto heights of upto seven to eight feet tall. But what made it extremely frightening is that they were currently in a group of what seemed hundreds and charging straight for the duo in the car.

"Can you go any faster because they're catching upto us?!" Andrew inquired perplexed with his situation. 'What the hell are those Hedonism?' He asked internally. "Don't ask me! Ask Fear. The creatures were his idea though of course he had to dial it down." Andrew simply assessed them with his system.

They were chasing them underground as they felt the rumbles getting closer to them. 'They drill extremely fast to catch up with a car going at 180mph.' He thought. Looking at the suburbs which started to come into view,if they could make it there,then they could make this someone else's problem and use this window for their escape. "We're not going to make it at this rate." Andrew concluded. Of course he wouldn't let these beasts hurt any of them but he had to make this situation convincing, though he was shocked that these creatures existed to begin with.

"Andrew,if we don't make it,them know that you are the first person I didn't have the urge to kill on sight except my dad." Andrew with a perplexed look on his face,"Okay... thanks,I guess. But I'm sure we'll be okay." He said reassuringly as he held her hand placed on the gear. She had a warm yet the underlying hint of coyness.

*Boom*

A huge gust of dust appeared making the two unable to see the road. "Why aren't we moving?" Ashley asked quizzically before the two realized that they were no longer on the road but rather levitating way above it. "What the..." A sporadic of voices could be heard from beneath. "Okay! I go them, I'll take them to safety." Andrew and Ashley felt the car move extremely fast compared to their initial speed before they were gently put down. Still flabbergasted of what actually happened,a humanoid figure came to the driver's window. He was adorned in ridiculous costume similar to those superheroes in comics.

He had a blue costume that tightly hugged his body with a symbol on his chest relating to a brain and his face was masked with black spectacles for a form of perception. "Are you guys okay?" He asked looking inside the car. Ashley was stunned with what happened so Andrew took over. "We're fine,now that you intervened. We would have been dead if you hadn't saved us." However the sincerity of his words was lacking as it came out bland rather than eager. "That's good to know. I'll be off now to help the rest of my comrades."

*Whoosh*

He seemed to fly away with his white cape tailing him from behind. "Ashley? Are you okay?" Ashley seemed to hyperventilate in her seat making Andrew wary. He got out of the car and went to her side of the car,pulled the car door open and escorted her out. "Just breathe Ashley. Breathe!" He told her to which she did. "Haaah!" She gave out a long exasperated breathe. She suddenly turned crashing into Andrew's embrace. "I thought I was going to lose you." Andrew hugged her. "I told you that we'll be fine and we are. If I get an ability, I'll protect you with my life."

"Okay. But what if you don't,after all,I don't think everyone can get one and I don't think there is a way to do so." She said softly as she took in his smell. 'Lavender? How did he know it's my favorite? Or was it a simple coincidence?' She thought. "Well if I don't that doesn't mean that I'll deviate from my goal. Sure I won't have any fancy abilities but I'll always be there for you whenever you'll need me." He said as the two wrapped each other with their arms. "Come on, I'll take you home." He said seating on the driver's seat. Ashley sat on his lap though it didn't inconvenience him with his driving.

She had put the location of where she was going so getting there wasn't an issue for him. Although since he was back to civilization,he had to drive within the regulations and not speed like some crazed maniac.

*An hour later*

The BMW M3 finally appeared to a shic looking mansion. 'It seems her being from a wealthy background stays the same. Though to think that a person like her could appear so mediocre is shocking. The gate was electronic so he was to drive in with no problems,after a small strip,he parked the car right outside their house. "We're here." He said.Ashley had been clinging onto him the whole journey looked rather downcast that they had arrived. Andrew opened the door to which she got off first then he followed. "Since you're safe. I'll be going..."

"Andrew..." Ashley cut him off. "Yes Ashley,what is it?" He asked as he got his back out of the car. "Could you stay here for the night?" Andrew looked at her. He pulled out his phone and dialed a few numbers,"Hello mum. I'll be a little late today but I'll explain it some other time. I'll be staying somewhere else for the night. Thanks for understanding." He then hang up. Judging that there was no response indicated that it was a voicemail. She hugged him passionately to which he reciprocated. "Thanks Andrew." He said softly,"I'll always be right next to you."

The two then entered the house,it was much bigger on the inside than anticipated by looking on the outside. They were the only two people there. 'For killers,it makes sense.' He mused as he was taken to the kitchen. "Are you hungry?" He asked her. "I should be asking you that,my dear." She said as she put on a pink apron. "Isn't your father going to be furious finding me here?" He asked hoping that she wasn't too clouded. "He won't mind it." For a regular person,they wouldn't waste their time and leave immediately but he chose to stay. "Okay." He said with his voice laced with ease.

After that, Ashley being in control with Andrew's allowance,she cooked for the two lunch and supper, wasting the day away in that mansion. Now they were cleaning up the dishes and they had just finished. "Done. Okay so... Ahhh!" Ashley jumped as she realized that Andrew was behind her. "Do you not realize how sexy you look in that apron? Cause I'm having a hard time controlling myself." He said as he wrapped his arms around her waist. He started to nibble on her ear and defenceless to fight back,"It had to happen sooner or later." She turned around to lock her eyes with his. 'This relaxing and blissful feeling...' She thought before the two kissed.

"We have rooms you know." She said as she started to ignore the world around her focusing on him solely. "I know." He said as the two got lost in their erotic fantasies and muses.
