Dimensional Kaguya Ōtsutsuki

Chapter 533: Going Home Together

The night deepened, and the autumn wind grew chill. The bustling crowds on the streets thinned, and the lively atmosphere of the festival began to wane. The ground was littered with paper scraps and trash, and only a few sanitation workers could be seen sweeping up the remnants.

Silence reclaimed the land, and the once-rowdy city gradually quieted under the clear moonlight, which poured down like a cool stream, casting the night in a gentle glow.

Kaguya walked toward Natsumi, who was currently leaning against a large tree. Her injuries had left her weak, her pale face appearing even more delicate than usual, giving her an air of fragility.

"All right, we should head back," Kaguya said with a smile, reaching out to carry her.

But Natsumi turned her head away and let out a soft huff, using the tree trunk to stand up on her own. "I can walk by myself. I don't need your help."

"Careful not to trip. I'm not going to catch you if you fall," Kaguya teased.

"I don't need you to!" Natsumi retorted, not looking back as she began walking toward the apartment.

This little girl is surprisingly stubborn, Kaguya thought with a wry smile. She had initially hoped this might help raise her favorability, but it seemed things weren't going as smoothly as she had imagined. A pang of regret surfaced—perhaps she had gone a little overboard in bullying her before.

Still, as Kaguya mulled over her thoughts, walking ahead of her, Natsumi's pale cheeks took on a faint flush, like a delicate layer of blush. A small, sweet smile played on her lips, lending her a charming, girlish allure.

At that moment, Kaguya suddenly felt a pang of unease, as though she had forgotten something important. Scratching her head, she tried to recall what it could be but found herself unable to remember.

Well, if I forgot it, it probably wasn't that important, Kaguya reasoned, deciding to let it go.

Turning her gaze toward Natsumi, she was momentarily taken aback.

At first, Natsumi walked with a steady stride. But as she continued forward, her steps became uneven, her body wobbling slightly.

Suddenly, her foot slipped. Letting out a startled cry, she pitched forward, about to fall to the ground.

Just as Natsumi squeezed her eyes shut, bracing for impact, she felt herself caught by a strong pair of arms. Opening her eyes, she found herself face-to-face with someone she found infuriating—Kaguya, smiling down at her.

"L-Let me go! I can walk on my own!" Natsumi's face flushed bright red as she struggled in his arms, but her small limbs were no match for Kaguya's strength.

"Stay still," Kaguya said, giving her a light smack on the bottom. But the moment she did, she regretted it. This little girl wasn't one to let things slide. If she decided to throw a tantrum, it would definitely be a headache.

To her surprise, Natsumi didn't react with the fiery indignation Kaguya had expected. Instead, she lay quietly in her arms, as meek as a lamb.

Huh? Did her personality suddenly change? Kaguya wondered. It felt like the kind of relief a parent experiences when their rebellious teenager finally mellows out.

Whatever the reason, Natsumi's calmness was a welcome change. Kaguya let out a small sigh of relief. A sulky, injured girl was the last thing she wanted to deal with, especially when scolding or punishing her wasn't an option.

Holding Natsumi's soft body close, Kaguya began making her way back toward the apartment. Beneath the starlit sky and the serene moonlight, a warmth seemed to envelop them both.

When this troublemaker isn't acting up, she's actually kind of cute, Kaguya thought to herself.

"Pervert."

"What?" Kaguya stopped in her tracks, stunned. "What did you just say?"

"I said, you're a pervert," Natsumi said, clutching the fabric of Kaguya's clothing and letting out a small huff.

Kaguya was speechless. She had just been singing her praises in her mind, and now this little brat threw it all back in her face.

"How am I a pervert?" Kaguya asked indignantly.

"You—you just now..." Natsumi's pale cheeks reddened slightly as she stammered, "You just used your finger to... to touch... there. So gross."

Kaguya coughed awkwardly, a trace of embarrassment flashing across her face. She had to admit, she might have gone a little too far earlier. But she hadn't expected Natsumi's sharp eyes to catch her in the act.

"You're imagining things," Kaguya said with a straight face. "If it weren't for me, you'd be a headless horseman by now."

"Headless horseman?" Natsumi turned her head away, scoffing. "Hmph, even without you, I'd have beaten her."

"Keep telling yourself that," Kaguya said with a smirk. "When I showed up, someone was about to cry, you know."

"I-I wasn't crying!" Natsumi's face turned scarlet as she vehemently denied it. "You're the one who was crying!"

"Sure, sure," Kaguya replied with a laugh. "I saw it all. Oh, hey—are you part dog or something?"

Fuming, Natsumi bit down hard on Kaguya's ear.

What is it with girls and biting people when they're mad? Kaguya thought, equal parts perplexed and amused.

The two of them strolled leisurely along the tree-lined path leading back to the apartment. To accommodate Natsumi's condition, Kaguya kept her pace slow. They didn't speak much, walking mostly in silence. Perhaps it was the autumn season, but the leaves on the trees lining the path were tinged with yellow, and the red maple leaves added a vibrant touch to the serene, moonlit surroundings.

"Hey, do you think I can trust you?" Natsumi's soft, delicate voice broke the silence.

The warmth of her breath tickling Kaguya's ear made her ears itch slightly. Kaguya chuckled and replied, "What, has my heroic rescue moved you to tears?"

"Not even close," Natsumi scoffed, turning her nose up. "Besides, you're no hero."

"Well, if I'm not a hero, then you're certainly no beauty," Kaguya teased, readjusting her grip on Natsumi's petite frame.

"What's wrong with me not being a beauty? Huh? Got a problem with that?" Natsumi huffed.

"None at all," Kaguya quickly agreed, a smile tugging at her lips.

As she glanced at Natsumi, Kaguya suddenly found herself stunned.

Her soft green hair fell in silky strands over her shoulders, framing her fair complexion. Her delicate features were as refined as a painting, her bright eyes sparkling like gems. Under the clear moonlight, her beauty seemed all the more striking. She had grown so much in such a short time—what was once a budding flower was now blooming into a graceful, enchanting presence.

"What are you staring at?" Natsumi snapped, turning her head to avoid Kaguya's gaze. "I know I'm not pretty. So what? Big deal. Sure, my face might be nice to look at, but what's there to be proud of? And don't think for a second I'll thank you for today. It's all your fault I ended up like this."

"Of course, of course," Kaguya replied with a laugh. "When we get back, I'll be sure to repay you properly for all the trouble I've caused."

"Stop being so snarky!" Natsumi said, reaching up to pinch Kaguya's cheeks in irritation. Yet, despite her protest, a faint smile tugged at her lips.

Natsumi was left panting after a short bout of banter with Kaguya, who showed no signs of fatigue. It was impossible for her to match Kaguya's boundless energy, especially now that she was still injured.

"Hey, can you unlock my seal?" Natsumi whispered softly, resting her head on Kaguya's shoulder.

"Nope," Kaguya rejected outright.

"Why not?" Natsumi immediately bristled. "How can you be like this?"

Moments ago, they had been joking and laughing, yet she was so quick to deny her this request. Was Kaguya's friendliness earlier all just an act?

"Because your seal is already undone," Kaguya said with a sly smile.

"What?"

It's already undone?

Natsumi was stunned. She focused inward and quickly realized that her spirit energy was indeed circulating freely within her body, without the blockage she had felt before.

Kaguya had discreetly unlocked her seal while treating her injuries earlier.

"Haha!" Natsumi leaped down from Kaguya's hold with a triumphant laugh. "I'm finally free! You're done for now, Kaguya! How dare you treat me like that before—I'll make you pay—ow!"

Her victory speech was cut short as she twisted her ankle and fell to the ground in an ungraceful heap.

"Ow, ow!" Natsumi clutched her ankle, tears welling up in her eyes. The same spot she had hurt earlier had been aggravated by her reckless jump.

Though her spirit energy had returned, she lacked Kotori Itsuka's regenerative abilities. Kaguya's earlier treatment had healed most of her injuries, but her sprained ankle wasn't something that could be fixed so easily.

"And you were just talking about revenge," Kaguya said, amused. "Where does it hurt? Let me take a look."

Without waiting for permission, Kaguya grabbed Natsumi's slender leg and placed it on her lap.

"Y-you can't just do that!" Natsumi's cheeks turned crimson as she protested.

"Do you want to end up like Iron Crutch Li?" Kaguya retorted, carefully sliding off Natsumi's sock. "Hold still, and you'll be fine in no time."

Perhaps due to the seriousness in Kaguya's tone, Natsumi, though flushed, obediently stopped resisting and remained quiet.

Natsumi's ankle was indeed in bad shape. The side was swollen with a large bruise forming, a sharp contrast to her otherwise pale skin. It was impressive she had managed to jump at all in such a condition.

"I'm starting now. Bear with it," Kaguya said.

"Ah! It hurts—it hurts!" Natsumi cried out.

"Don't worry. It'll stop hurting soon."

"But it still hurts!"

"Oh, does it? Let me try again."

"Still hurts?"

"Yes, it hurts!"

"That's fine. The first time is always like this—you'll get used to it."

Anyone overhearing their conversation would undoubtedly let their imagination run wild, conjuring all sorts of inappropriate scenarios. Yet in reality, it was just one girl massaging another's foot.

Kaguya's fingers moved gently over Natsumi's injured ankle, her fingertips glowing faintly with chakra energy. The healing energy seeped into Natsumi's body, repairing the damaged tissue bit by bit. While Kaguya focused on the treatment, Natsumi began experiencing an entirely different sensation.

At first, Natsumi braced herself for the pain. But to her surprise, there wasn't any. Instead, as Kaguya massaged her ankle, a warm current seemed to spread from the injured area, enveloping her entire foot in soothing warmth. Before long, she felt no pain at all; it was as if the injury had never happened.

Natsumi's wide eyes reflected her astonishment. She had heard of spirits with accelerated healing abilities but had never seen it in action. Could Kaguya possess such an ability?

But soon, she noticed something else was amiss.

Natsumi's body gradually grew warmer, her face flushing even more. It felt as though ants were crawling under her skin, a ticklish sensation that compelled her to squirm. Moving her body seemed to alleviate the discomfort slightly.

"Is it hurting that much?" Kaguya paused and looked up, noticing Natsumi's movement.

"No, not at all." Natsumi bit her lip, trying to suppress the strange sensations.

"That's good." Kaguya smiled and continued. "I thought I might have hurt you."

Her fingers returned to work, channeling more chakra into Natsumi's body.

Technically, this wasn't proper medical ninjutsu. While Kaguya had studied it, her knowledge was relatively shallow—sufficient for basic injuries but not serious cases. For more severe wounds, she could resort to yin-yang release, which had once saved Might Guy from the brink of death and restored Kakashi's eye. Using it for minor injuries, however, seemed excessive.

For Natsumi, though, the experience was becoming unbearable.

Her flushed face looked as if it had been painted with rouge, and her body grew increasingly feverish. Tiny beads of sweat formed on her forehead.

The peculiar sensation grew more intense. The areas where Kaguya's fingers brushed felt as though they were electrified, tingling with heat. Natsumi's chest heaved, her breathing quickened, and her petite form began to squirm uncontrollably. Her thighs pressed together in a feeble attempt to quell the mounting tension within her.

What is happening to me?

Natsumi's mind felt foggy, her thoughts muddled like a thick paste. Her once-bright eyes turned hazy, her body trembling involuntarily. Though she recognized this feeling as abnormal, it was as if she were trapped in quicksand, unable to escape.

Suddenly, a memory struck her like lightning, slicing through the haze clouding her mind.

Natsumi froze.

This is just like that time outside Kaguya's bedroom!

"It turns out you were here all along. I've been looking for you everywhere."

From the shadows of the forest came a sultry voice, followed by the emergence of a graceful figure

Natsumi jolted, snapping out of the strange sensations that had overwhelmed her. Hurriedly, she pulled her pale, delicate foot out of Kaguya's hands, her face flushed crimson, shame and anger swirling in her chest.

What was I even doing just now?

The cool breeze brushing against her lower half only deepened her embarrassment.

Kaguya, however, remained as composed as ever. Naturally, she was completely unaware of what had just transpired with Natsumi.

What Kaguya didn't know was that her dark chakra possessed an unusual and undisclosed ability—one that could subtly awaken a person's desires. Its effects were imperceptible but insidious, and Natsumi had unknowingly fallen victim to it.

Of course, Natsumi herself didn't realize that this bizarre sensation was Kaguya's doing. She merely blamed her wandering thoughts, chalking it up to her own imagination.

A truly innocent soul.

"Did you manage to shake them off?" Kaguya asked.

"Barely," Kurumi replied as she walked closer. "Those people weren't easy to deal with. It took quite a bit of effort on my part."

"You've worked hard," Kaguya said with a smile.

"Just saying 'good job' isn't enough. That would make you far too stingy. And besides, that's not what I'm after." Kurumi pouted, then gave a playful hum.

"What do you want, then?" Kaguya asked. "I'll warn you now—if it's too difficult, it's not happening."

"Oh, it's nothing difficult. In fact, it's something you can do with ease," Kurumi said, stepping closer to Kaguya. She raised her arms and wrapped them around Kaguya's neck, her lips curving into a mischievous smile. "I want… this."

Without warning, Kurumi leaned in, closed her eyes, and brought her face closer to Kaguya's. Kaguya could feel her warm breath and faint fragrance.

Then, to her astonishment, Kurumi's soft lips met hers. Not only that, Kurumi's smooth, velvety tongue playfully pried open Kaguya's teeth and slipped inside.

In response, Kaguya intertwined her tongue with Kurumi's, tangling and sliding against each other as Kurumi deepened the kiss. Wet and fervent, they exchanged saliva. The kiss was intoxicating, drowning her in Kurumi's warmth and leaving her breathless.

Their lips pressed deeply and passionately, leaving no space between them as their tongues mingled. After what felt like an eternity, their lips finally parted.

A thin string of saliva lingered between them for a fleeting second before breaking. Kaguya gasped softly, her chest rising and falling as desire coursed through her.

Kurumi seductively licked her lips with a satisfied smirk, her voice dripping with amusement. "Your taste is still as delicious as ever, my dear."

"What nonsense are you spouting?" Kaguya muttered, clearly flustered. After all, she was still holding Natsumi in her arms, and the younger girl's disdainful glare made the situation all the more awkward.

"Shameless," Natsumi muttered with a huff.

"Oh?" Kurumi tilted her head, her ruby-red eyes twinkling. She grinned wickedly. "Well, if it isn't Natsumi. I thought you might've died—what a shame."

"Hmph." Natsumi turned her face away, refusing to engage with her. Although Kurumi had saved her, the entire ordeal was Kaguya's fault to begin with. There was no way she'd feel grateful.

"All right, let's save the banter for later. Let's head back; the others are probably waiting for us," Kaguya said, adjusting Natsumi in her arms with a smile.

Natsumi didn't reply but gave a small nod. She shifted into a more comfortable position in Kaguya's embrace, quietly resting her head against her.

Kurumi's eyes lit up as if she'd discovered a hidden treasure. Her gaze flitted between Kaguya and Natsumi, a teasing smile playing on her lips.

Kaguya cleared her throat, visibly uncomfortable under Kurumi's suggestive expression. "What's with that look? Is there something on my face?"

"No, nothing at all," Kurumi said innocently, then leaned closer to whisper in Kaguya's ear. "It's just… I didn't expect you to be this capable. I thought it'd take you much longer, but you've already won over that little brat. I must say, I'm impressed."

Kaguya coughed twice, trying to mask her embarrassment. "Don't spout nonsense. It's not what you think."

"Oh?" Kurumi's warm breath tickled Kaguya's ear, making it itch. "Then tell me… what is it, exactly?"

Before Kaguya could respond, Kurumi drew back with a sly smile. "The lantern festival tonight was lovely, though it's a shame you weren't there to enjoy it with us. I felt so lonely."

"Next time, then," Kaguya replied. "We'll all go together next time."

"'We all,' huh? I wonder who that includes," Kurumi murmured, her eyes glimmering mischievously. "Do you mean all of us girls together with you? Ara, Ara, what a greedy thought, my dear."

"Enough with the nonsense." Kaguya cleared her throat again, trying to dispel the inappropriate imagery Kurumi's words conjured in her mind. A harem of beautiful girls surrounding her… it didn't sound half bad.

Her train of thought was interrupted by a sudden sharp pain in her arm. Glancing down, she found Natsumi glaring up at her.

Kaguya chuckled awkwardly. "All right, that's enough chatter. Let's go home."

When they finally arrived at the apartment and opened the door, Tohka and the others were already waiting inside. The moment Kaguya stepped in, they all rushed to her.

"Where did you go? We were all so worried about you," Tohka pouted, her arms crossed in displeasure.

"We tried calling you, but you didn't answer," Origami added with her usual calm demeanor, though there was a hint of concern in her tone.

"Really?" Kaguya pulled out her phone, only to find it completely dead. "What happened to all the battery life they promised? Five thousand milliamp-hours, my foot."

"What happened to Natsumi?" Tohka asked, noticing the girl in Kaguya's arms.

The others turned their attention to Natsumi, their expressions ranging from concern to curiosity. Among them, Yoshino seemed particularly worried, as she was closest to Natsumi after Kaguya.

"It's nothing, just a sprained ankle," Natsumi mumbled, giving Kaguya a discreet pinch. "Put me down already."

"Careful now. Don't hurt yourself again," Kaguya said, gently setting her down.

"Got it." Natsumi's face flushed pink as she limped away, her movements almost like an attempt to flee. She quickly disappeared into her room.

Everyone exchanged curious glances, puzzled by Natsumi's odd behavior. Meanwhile, Kurumi stepped out from behind Kaguya and greeted them with a charming smile.

"It's a pleasure to meet you all. Please take care of me," she said sweetly.
