"Before I open get that door,you get back here and stay put!"Mia said tilting her head towards the bed as she tapped on it.

When Ramses got off the bed,his scent must have been unmasked making it easy for someone to smell him and his strong odd Aura there was nothing she could do to mask it.

If the owner of this child was out there somewhere,she hoped she found him sooner,if there were really people out there after this child,it was only a matter of time before another person came knocking.

As Ramses slowly walked towards the bed,her eyes followed him.

The more she watched him,the more it pequied her curiosity.

Since Ramses had gone for the door after hearing his name she was certain he knew who was on the other side.

If it was his mother then she was dying to see her but would never had him over without a proper explanation of what in creation he was.

Unless...Just then a memory flashed past her as she recalled what she had overheard Gerald telling Carolene at the empress's garden

"I know more than you think I do my lady...I know all what is going on...that the imperial prince is no Demon, about the doomsday prophecy upon Delvin...Fiona's Curse....do I go on?"

That was what she had heard clearly before the wind interrupted.

"Then it must be Carrru...rulene at the door"She mumbled with a smile as she arose.

Mia pulled Queen Aries to her wash room before taking out a bracelet from her closet then walked towards the door

She turned the door knob,opened it and her blue eyes met Carolene's frightened eyes.

"Please hand him over...you don't understand,he shouldn't be here"she said shaking her head.

"Well what do we have here?the man thief"

"What!..."

"I know who he is already...if I am not mistaking....this is the son of the Emperor,the not so normal Imperial prince"

She said with a smile as she titled her head.

Carolene swallowed with difficulty.

"And you must the the maid that nurses him in secret...."

"We shouldn't talk about this here...these walls are sound proof,let me in"

Mia stepped aside for her to enter before closing the door.

Carolene froze when she saw him.

"Ramses!"

Ramses made a move to crawl towards the edge of the bed but Mia shot him a stern glare.

"Don't even think about it!"

"Since you know who he is...the...then you must know he...he isn't safe here,he can only be safe in Delu"

Mia turned to face her.

"He appears to be fond of you.....the only woman pretty enough to take my man from me...."She paused before eying her from head to toe then her eyes stopped in her face.

"hmm .....you're not even that pretty...I can only hand him over to you in exchange for that which I desire the most".

"What is it...Ill...I'll... do..oo anything!_"

"Even Sacrifice the one you love to be with another?"Mia cut in,her eyes widened with a frown.

Carolene fell silent then her gaze dropped.

"Well if you're not willing to agree to me preposition you can as well take the way you came from... leave my room...I am sure the emperor would me more than happy to find out his son is missing when he gets back from the hunt...."

She drew closer to Carolene and whispered in her ears.

"The moment you leave this room, that will be the last time you will ever set eyes on him...since a lot of people want him,there must be someone out there who would propose an even far greater deal_"

"Enough!!...what would you have me do?"

"Swear to me!... swear you will stay as far as a million miles away from Gerald as you can...and when he gets back from the hunt,you have to tell him you do not love him...that you never did...You have to warn him to stay away from you as far as possible and tell him to get to know me better...tell him all the good things you can say about a person in this world about me..."

Mia leaned closer,then rubbed on Carolene's brown hair.

"Tell him to give me a chance"

Carolene raised her head,her teary eyes unable to hide the pain in it.

"But love is not forced!"

"Oh a man is a man...and all men are but the same...I am certain he would have loved me if you weren't in the way...but with you out of the way,only then can my dreams come true"

Mia grabbed Carolene's wrist and locked in a silver bracelet on it.

"What is this?"Carolene grunted as she tried to take it off.

"Don't bother trying to take it off....that is an enchanted bracelet,more like a device...it has all I said here today recorded in it and the moment you fulfil you own end of the deal,it will disappear on its own....but if you don't It will let me know....oh I'll know anyway even if it didn't let me know when I approached him and don't have his interest but I need to be sure you do as you were told...if you do, I am certain the Knight will be drawn to me".

"Where did you get this?"

"That's enough talking already....we will continue when next we meet right now,you are free to take him with you....go on!...I never liked babies anyway".

Carolene reached out her hand towards Ramses who crawled down the bed and ran towards her.

She carried him and kissed him, patting gently on his hair.

"Oh thank the skies you are safe"She turned to Mia"You must not let anyone know about this...his existence is a secret for now"

"Don't worry my lips are sealed....as long as you keep your end of the deal"

"And what if I don't...."

"Then the Emperor will be the first to know about this and probably all of Delvin"

Carolene chuckled while Mia eyed her conspicuously.

"What's so funny"

"You think the Emperor will let you live after finding out about the Imperial prince?.... you'll be long dead before anyone hears of this".

Mia grinned in ecstasy.

"Oh don't underestimate me Carolene...never underestimate anyone or you'll end up getting the saddest suprise of your life!".
