Chapter 29: Convinced

Gaby sat out side under the same tree at the same spot they had met earlier waiting for Farhat.

He had quickly written his exams, more like written only his name and submitted being more confident in the magic practical exams they did before the written part.

Satisfied with his performance in the magic practice Gaby was certain it would help boost his score.

As an upper lower tier class demon, his magic energy was higher than most of his peers, even Farhat's and many attributed it to the fact that he trained under a Royal sorceror.

But he wasn't the only one who trained under royal sorcerors, there were many in the academy even among his mates.

Middle tier demons were only found in the classes far above his and in his class,he was the only upper lower tier and who barely passed any of his exams.

Having gotten a full mark in the magic practice exams he had submitted an empty sheet.

Gaby didn't bother writing he knew he wouldn't remember anything he read, luckily the scores were shared equally between both magic practice and written exams, otherwise the academy would have expelled him a long time ago.

Farhat on the other hand would be needing those written exams,he was good with his magic, the next best sorceror in class after Gaby and with both scores combined he was certain to always remain Class best.

Before leaving the hall he had thrown a quick glance at Farhat whose pen never stopped dancing on the paper Infront of him, the same Farhat whose attention remained struck on the desk all along.

Gaby's face wore a wide grin when he saw Farhat exit the exam hall from afar.

The young lad approached him sweating all over.

Gaby laughed.

"Took you like forever...were the exams that difficult you look like u just had a lovely swim".

"The exams were dead difficult and the hot class didn't do any good in helping the situation".

Gaby grimaced.

"You're an ice sorceror, could easily cool yourself up even in the hall".

Farhat's brows furrowed as he adjusted the bag on his shoulder.

"It's not permitted"Farhat reminded."And how can I use magic when by brain is busy thinking".

Gaby's smile disappeared then he grabbed his friend's hand and ran off.

"Where are you taking me?"Farhat questioned trying his best to even up his pace with Gaby's.

They both stopped when they reached a narrow space inbetween two closely positioned buildings.

Farhat watched Gaby fondle in his bag in search of something.

Then the young demon took out a spherical object in the fashion of an tiny amillary.

Farhat's eye widened,he had once seen it in sorceror's libary,he was told it was the only one remaining,an artifact whose materials were gotten from the unclean realm, made with thousands of human essence and lost magic.

It was teleporting device and one of Anthargod most priceless inventions.

With the device one could teleport to different locations in Delvin, applying less magic than would be needed in using space magic.

Anthargod was one s of the greatest sorcerors who had lived longer than most demons,a demon who had both invented and studied countless lost spells.

"Ha... how...how did you get this?"a belwildered Farhat questioned in a Shakey voice"Do you even know how to use it?"

Gaby didn't respond.

He held out the device and streched his other hand above it chanting several spells, then his eyes and body glowed with a blue light.

Farhat observed the device rotating, first slowly then at a much greater speed.

As farhat's attention concentrated on the rotating device,a hand grabbed him.

When Farhat opened his eyes again,he found himself in Gaby's room.

"There's no time for much questions, soon I'll get a call from my mistress...I said ill show you proof".

Gaby got on his knees and pulled out an old box from beneath his bunk bed.

He unlocked it with a key and took out an old spiky huge dog chain.

Farhat eyed it closely then his eyes settled on Gaby.

"This belongs to one of the hell dogs,he let me take them off,do you believe me now?"

"How did you do that?how did you get that device? how can you use it?in fact I have a lot of how's right now and Gaby you have to answer me".

Gaby laughed in his lowest tone.

"We need not discuss this right now, remember we have to get those books from your uncle's libary...you getting to clean up his house is an added advantage to us".

"No one gets in my uncle's libary,am allowed to clean everywhere but not his library"

"Then we break in!"

Farhat irritably eyed his friend.

"You are not dragging me into trouble right now Gaby"he protested.

"But we already agreed to this"

"You did not me".

Gaby clasped both hands together and drew closer to his friend.

"Please Farhat... You're doing this for me,for you and for us...you also need this as much as I do".

Farhat reluctantly closed his eyes and folded his hands then he turned the other way.

Gaby's brows furrowed as he thinned his lips, with both hands at his sides and clenched in a fist.

"Fine!...I'll do this without you then!".

Farhat narrowly opened his eyes a bit and peered at his friend from beneath his lashes in a way even Gaby didn't notice.

The young demon took few steps backwards and streched out the teleporting device then his eyes glowed as he began chanting some spells.

Farhat quickly gripped his arm, lowering it

"Fine...fine I'll go with you!...I'll go with you cos am curious about the death hole and I want to prove my self...we have to find Dark's whereabouts".

A half smile formed on Gaby's face their eyes locked.

This was exactly what he wanted to hear from his friend.

For a moment there he thought Farhat had changed his mind, but his plan had worked afterall.

"See..that's more like it"he muttered.

Farhat raised a warning finger.

"After this you'll tell me how you got this device...how you used it,how you tamed a hell dog and...you!_you'll answer all the hows"

Gaby winked covertly.

"I'll answer all your questions and also help lighten up the punishment for you,now let's go cleaning shall we?"
