DILEmma

Gerald led the three women down a hallway to one of the minor halls of the imperial palace.

The Emperor had just finished his meeting,asked Gerald to bring them in and was waiting.The three women silently followed him from behind not uttering a word.

Gerald opened the door for them when they reached,went in and he stood by the door with both arms clasped behind him.

Tyran looked up from the countless seals placed before him as they got in,his face wearing a wide grin.

"Mia...is it?"He asked looking straight into Mia's eyes who smiled sheepishly.

"Yes your imperial majesty"She cutsied and the others did the same.

She handed Tyran the necklace and he offered them a seat.

"Happy to see you all again then again I must thank you once again for that day".

"It's nothing your majesty,am afraid we even treated you poorly...had we known you were the emperor we wouldn't have used such an old napkin to wipe your face".

Tyran laughed loudly and the girls followed.

"As a matter of fact I would like to express my gratitude...you each get to choose one thing you want, anything you want will be granted you"Tyran said spreading out his hands.

Then he motioned for one of them to speak,the closest to him.

"I want ten thousand gold pieces"she said with enthusiasm.

Tyran laughed

"Consider it done"

Gerald shook his head but didn't turn to look their way.A good request but the dumbest he had ever heard someone make from the emperor.

Tyran motioned the next girl to speak,

"I wish you would set me free,I don't want to be a slave no more"she said.

The emperor nodded.

"Of which slave are you?"

"Lord Amor in Sentah".she said.

"My knight would see to it,as of tomorrow you will no longer be a slave".

Tyran motioned for mia to speak and Mia bit her lip, looking down at her hands which fondled with her dress then her grip around it tightened.

"I wish to no longer be a slave and to work in the imperial palace".

Tyran raised an index finger

"One wish"he reminded"I will grant you all just one wish".

"Then buy me your imperial majesty!"Mia said.

"Buy you?you mean you want to be my slave instead?"Tyran raised a brow, suprised by her wish and at the same time wondering why.

"Yes your majesty I want to work in the imperial palace and live serving you".

Gerald turned to see who had made such a terrible wish from the emperor,the worst he had ever heard in his entire life.

At that moment his eyes met Mia's but she turned away immediately.

Tyran followed her gaze and watched this happen.

A smile formed on his face as he figured why she had chosen that,he had noticed her earlier stealing glances his way,she never stopped looking at him at intervals.

His curiosity now piqued,he yearned to see how this would turn out.

But if she was still a servant it might not turnout the way he expected it since Gerald held one of the highest positions in the empire.

Tyran nodded still smiling,

"Consider it done as from tomorrow,you are now a worker here not a slave anymore...a worker as you will be paid".

"Really your majesty!"Mia exclaimed and Tyran nodded.

Mia immediately fell on her knees and crawled towards Tyran's seat as joyful tears rolled down her face.

"Your imperial majesty..."she cried burying her face in her hands"Thank you so mu...."

Mia kept sobbing unable to complete the word

"It's ok, please get up..." Tyran said and Gerald turned once again,this time eying the emperor and wondering why he had granted her two wishes.Had he noticed something from this girl?he definitely had,this Emperor was just too smart but too bad he was already in love with someone else.

"Thank you so much your imperial majesty"the two girls chorused.

Tyran ordered Gerald through a telepathic link to ask some maid servants show them to their rooms as they would spend a day at the imperial palace.Then tomorrow one of his royal carriages would excort them back to Sentah.

Gerald messaged some maid servants in return via telepathy to show them to the rooms he picked in the guest chambers.

In a short while two maid servants appeared by the open door which the knight had opened having heard their footsteps up close.

They stepped in and the emperor motioned their way.

The three girls got to their feet and followed the maidservants out,each giggling as they went.

When they left Gerald drew closer and took his seat next to the emperor who had resumed placing his seal on the scrolls before him with a smile on his face.

Tyran noticed Gerald's stare but didn't look his way,then the knight clasped both hands on the table and leaned closer to the emperor.

"Your majesty that was very good of you,I must thank you as well."Gerald commended after taking a quick bow,a comment both he and the Emperor knew he didn't mean.

"I know..."Tyran said feeling proud of himself.

Gerald drew away and sank back into the seat,studying Tyran's features for a while,who seemed somewhat in good spirits today.

"There will be a meeting tomorrow with all six kings of the realm send a message to all six kingdoms,we will both discuss the reason for this meeting after I am up,also see to it that those ladies get what they asked of me".

Gerald nodded.

"Your majesty did the chief Knight get the writeup paper?

Tyran smiled even wider now and forcefully stamped his seal on the scroll.

"Hmmm".

He paused and locked eyes with the knight before him.

"As a matter of fact...he did".

"That should explain your heightened mood right now,you seem to have found a big lead from that".

"No..."Tyran swung his index finger in the air

"My mood today is just because my enemies are revealing themselves..."Tyran paused."By themselves".

Gerald's face looked perplexed.

Tyran stood up and gathered the scrolls spread across the table then threw them into Gerald's arms.

"See to it that these scrolls are properly distributed as assigned and the rest placed where they should be...right now young knight,my back longs for the softness of my bed"Tyran said and disappeared.
