Devastating The Murim with My Little Sister

P.O.V - Diana.

"With my progress so far, I might Master this in a few months, and sooner if I'm engaged in a crisis."

"Crisis?" Dang Soha asks.

"Like, during life or death battles, during wars, during a dangerous situation that draws out your latent power." I explain.

"Ohh, I see, it is actually a solid way to grow, growing during a crisis, but you could loose your life, but if you can survive, you will al ays come out stronger." She states.

"Yh, well, we still have a meeting with the Patriach and Elders, we need to go take a bath and prepare." I say to her as I prepared to stand up.

"Ummm, you need to go take your bath, I hardly even broke a sweat." She says with a smile taunting me.

"Yh yh, rub it in.

Later."

I get up and take my leave while she smiled watching me exit the gate of her courtyard.

I get to my courtyard, take my bath, dress and exit.

Ok my way to the court room where the meeting was scheduled to hold I see Rin run past carrying vegetables in a basket.

A smile makes its way up my face as I watch go.

She's grown so much in three years.

Hmmm, it's actually been a while I properly visited them.

Maybe I'll check them after the meeting.

Though Dang Ki Ran had been coming over to my place for Martial Arts practice, I've not really gone to visit her in a while.

I'll do that later.

I make my way to the courtroom.

Entering the compound I could feel the intense Ki oozing out from the Court room.

Opening the door the Ki brushes through me.

Everyone's gaze turns to me.

Ahhh, guess I'm late again.

"Dang So, you are late again, why?" The Patriarch, Dang Woon asks.

"Umm, well I was in practice with Dang Soha and I didn't realize that time had gone like that." I explain giving a panicked giggle.

"I see, and yet, that same Dang Soha made it here more than fifteen minutes before you?"

I look towards my right where she usually sits and I see her giving me a smirk with her head tilted.

That betrayer!!!

I didn't have any other thing to say, I just stand there giving a panicked smile.

Dang Woon heaves a sigh.

A sigh that says 'I'm tired of this girl.'

"As punishment, you will remain standing for the rest of the meeting." He orders.

"Yes, thank you for your Mercy Patriach." I say with a slight bow of the head.

I go over to the seat on the left hand side of the Patriarch which was where the one in position of the Special Adviser of the Clan.

I get there but I do not sit since I'm meant to stand throughout the meeting.

The meeting begins and as I look around I notice the presence of some figures.

The Three Elders, the First Elder, the Second Elder and the Grand Elder.

They All sit at the right side of the court room facing the ones sitting at the left side of the courtroom. Standing behind them were their disciples, standing behind the Grand Elder was the woman I saw for the first time three years ago after I returned from the Golden Manor Merchant trip.

I later got to learn who she was from the Grand Elder and the Grand Elder had decided to keep her as a protective force of the Clan, though she mostly listen to orders only from the Grand Elder.

Sitting along with them was the Pill Hall Leader and the Finance Manager of the Clan.

On the Left side of the courtroom sat Dang Soha which was also Rohli Von Bastin and the Mistress of the Clan.

Sitting at the right hand side of the Patriach as the Young Leader of the Clan was Dang Hyuk.

Dang Hyuk...

Suddenly he changed, he became colder to everyone, kinda like his Elder Sister Dang Soha, but he looked more... sad.

He always carried a poker face and suddenly became more focused on Cultivation and Clan duties.

He also picked up a habit of calling for girls from brothels to keep him company at night.

Not all the time but for someone without such record to suddenly start, it was quite concerning, and also the fact that I thought he had something with Dang Ki Ran.

I do not know what happened between the two of them but, apparently this attitude started around the time the stopped taking.

He even cut his hair a bit, his style totally changed, even his aura isn't the same.

As he sits beside the Patriarch he looks unbothered and a little annoyed but his aura says he could kill anyone at anytime if provoked.

Did he go through a heartbreak?

Hmmm, I'll find out one day.

The two Elders which were all in the Early Peak realm now stand at the Peak of the Late Peak Realm.

Even the Finance Manager and Pill Hall Leader have improved tremendously.

They have both now entered the Late Peak Realm.

Dang Soha as you know is also at the Peak of the Late Peak Realm.

Dang Hyuk is now a Late Peak Martial Expert, even while under the guidance of Dang Soha he could still boost this far, guess his talent really is genuine.

The Grand Elder, still a Peak level Martial Master but I feel he could breakthrough at anytime, he's probably the one holding himself back.

The woman he recruited, also now a Peak Level Martial Master.

Dang Lu and Dang Hae, disciples of the Second Elder.

Dang Lu, I see his hand has healed properly, he is now a Mid stage Early Peak and Dang Hae Is at the Peak of the First Rate realm.

I guess even though being trash, they still have some talent.

The Patriarch, he grew tremendously after the Golden Manor incident.

Right now he's at the Mid Stage of the Martial Master Realm.

His talent truly is remarkable.

All this improvement wasn't just due to a change of their hearts or increase in their zeal.

Money played a huge part in all this.

Bruuuhhh, money sure is good, anyone who says money isn't worth it that person hasn't really seen what money can do.

Anyways, with our alliance with the Golden Manor Merchant group, their support has been very productive.

With more money we could purchase more herbs for pill formations and production.

They even send some pills as gifts from time to time and of course we reply in kind.

Though we also have a business trade with them we still send pills and some herbs we can grow as gifts.

The relationship between us has been growing for the better.

Due to their support coupled with the change from the members of the Clan, the clan is now growing stronger and stronger, it won't be long till they rise to the top and they could aid me in my revenge against the one who took my love from me.

The clan has truly grown compared to the trashy state I met it in.

Now unti the reason why we are all here.

"As you all know, another ten years have passed and the Orthodox Murim Festival is drawing nearer.

And one of the events during that festival is the competition in preparation for the Murim Congress.

As most of us know, this competition determines who goes forth representing the Orthodox Murim in the Murim Congress.

So for that we have called this meeting to decide and contemplate together who would be representing us in this competition." The Patriach explains.

I see, so that's why they called this meeting.

In the last Orthodox Murim Festival Dang Soha took third and apparently she could have taken first but she let the kid from the Namgoong Clan win on purpose to not draw too much attention to the weakened Dang Clan.

A smart move u must say.

A prodigy suddenly rising from the Dang Clan with talent enough to dominate the Orthodox Murim competition would draw too much attention to the weak clan.

Not just good attention but really evil ones too.

I'd say even taking third is still too much but she probably had her reasons.

"So, for the two categories, the upcoming generation and the Experts category, we would hold a mini competition to decide who would be going and who would not." The Patriach says.

"So, prepare yourselves and your disciples or whoever you have in mind, the time has come, the competition will hold in three days, but before then let us discuss how we should go about the competition and I would like to hear your views and takes on this topic." He opens the ground for discussion.
