Destiny Weaving System- Teacher Becomes Dual Cultivating Overlord

Chapter 28: Jack of All Trades

"Comprehending Fire Element can be based on three standards. First, you must understand ignition."

"Remember, Fire is a phenomenon. It is intangible, but you can see it. It doesn't have a shadow, but it can burn you."

"To understand ignition, you must understand that only when there is combustion, there will be fire."

At this moment, he revealed the small flame in his index finger and continued.

"What's happening with my spiritual energy is that I am using my spiritual sense to ignite it."

"Since air has one of its components for fire to exist, the spiritual energy acts like a fuel."

"Once you understand this, you can produce fire. But cultivators can also create flames inside their bodies, right?"

"That's the second standard. Transformation of Spiritual energy. Spiritual Sense is still an ignition trigger."

"But by separating particles of spiritual energy, keeping one part of spiritual energy as spiritual energy while transforming another part into a wave."

"A wave created by energy. By spinning this wave around the spiritual energy and igniting it, you can also create flame inside your dantian where air doesn't exist."

"But that's just the second standard. The third and the most important standard is comprehension."

"Here, you are not using logic to create fire. You are using imagination and your connection with a certain element."

"For example, you and I have Fire Affinity. So, we can feel more connected with the flame. Understanding the heat and nature of flame allows you to skip the previous standard."

"But only true geniuses can do that. We need to start from the first standard and slowly move to the third one."

"Remember, you are not allowed to use your cultivation technique to generate flame inside your dantian. If you do that, you defeat the purpose of this training method."

Hearing his explanation, Elaine was stunned.

She felt like she could understand fire so much better. She didn't even know there were so many factors affecting the creation of fire.

Seeing her stunned expression, Ken nodded and said.

"Try to comprehend it here! Good luck and goodbye! I have to return to my house soon."

Saying so, without giving her any chance to react, Ken left her house.

Elaine was still in her stunned position until she realized he had left and hurriedly locked the door and entered a meditative state.

While she was busy with this, Ken went to the Treasure Hall.

In his previous life, he had learned a lot of things. He could be considered Jack of All Trades.

Alchemy, Talisman Creation, Weapon Forging, and Formation.

He wasn't accomplished in any of those professions, but that's only due to his talent.

In fact, it was solely due to his long age that he was able to learn so much. Otherwise, with his talent, he wouldn't even be able to learn one of those professions.

So, he approached the Treasure Hall where he was planning to buy a few things.

The Treasure Hall was located on the fourth floor of Sect Hall Building. Looking at the enormous building, he felt a bit emotional.

This building almost became his second home.

But putting aside his emotions, he went straight to the fourth floor. Taking the stairs, he reached the main door of the Treasure Hall.

He took out a card, poured some of his Qi into it, and placed it on the side of the door.

The card had recorded his information, and there was a formation attached to this door.

[Energy Detection Formation]

This formation was a basic formation that could detect a certain level of energy.

By infusing his Qi into the card, he could activate its own secret formation that would release a certain type of energy.

When the energy released by the card was matched with the energy released by the door, it would automatically open.

As the door opened, he entered the Hall. There were a lot of people inside.

Many people were selecting certain treasures. Each treasure was put in a certain location, indicated by a large board.

[Alchemy]

He went to this section and found a pretty solid furnace. This furnace was nearly three feet tall and four feet wide.

The furnace was shaped like a ball with three legs. He picked up the furnace and went to the counter.

There was a stack of small blank paper on the side. He pulled out one of the papers, infused his Qi in it, and stuck the paper on the furnace.

Then, he left for another section.

[Talisman Section]

He looked around. There were several readymade talismans. Many people were choosing these.

But he was specifically searching for a talisman paper and a brush. After looking around for a while, he finally stopped in front of a stack of yellow paper.

He had also picked up inches inch-long pen made out of half wood, half bronze.

He went back to the counter and placed them. He used two stickers on them.

Then, he went to the Formation section.

He didn't have to spend much time here. He wanted to find an empty formation plate.

As for the formation itself, he had learn it on his own. There were some books about formation, but they were in the library, not here.

So, after picking up a few empty plates, he went to the counter for the third time and finally walked in front of an old man.

This old man was no ordinary old man. He was the numbered Elder of the Sect. He was currently the Fourth Elder.

"Hoho! Furnace, Talisman, and Formation. Boy, don't you know the meaning of don't bite more than you can chew?"

The old man glared at him and scolded.

Fortunately, Ken had already thought of an excuse. He rubbed the back of his head and said.

"Senior, I am not sure if I am even talented at any of these. So, I just wanted to test it."

"I hope these don't cost a lot."

Hearing his excuse, the old man felt a bit better.

"If that's what you are hoping for, then it's good. If you find that you don't have talent for a certain profession, don't delve deeper into it."

"Except for the furnace, others don't cost that much. For example, this stack of talisman paper only costs twenty-five contribution points."

"This pen only costs five contribution points. It would've cost more, but it is a second-hand item, so the cost is much less."

"As for the formation plates, they only cost ten contribution points per piece. You are buying four of these. Only this furnace costs eighty contribution points."

"So, your total is one hundred and fifty contribution points. Do you have it, or do you want to pay in spiritual stones?"

"Sorry, Senior! I will be paying in spiritual stones."

He released his spiritual sense inside his spiritual bag and took out exactly one hundred and fifty spiritual stones.

"That's all! Lad, don't waste your time on these if you don't have talent."

The Fourth Elder reminded him while taking those spiritual stones into his space ring.

Ken placed those things in his spiritual bag and bowed to the elder before leaving the Treasure Hall.

He didn't need to buy any alchemy recipes, formations, or even talisman structures since he knew all of them.

At least, those that could be found in the sect.

But he did need to buy those special ingredients for alchemy.

So, he went to the Alchemy Hall, where he bought 100 Spirit Grass, 200 Yellow Fruit, and 50 Beast Cores.

When he bought these, he got weird reactions from the Alchemy Elder. Because he was buying ingredients for the Tempering Beast Pill.

These pills were created using the Beast Cores, and they were incredibly useful for tempering one's body.

But eating more than one pill a day could cause severe effects for those who didn't use a powerful body cultivation technique.

He didn't buy these for himself but more for Elaine.

With the Flood Dragon Blood and Ancient Dragon Transformation Technique, he would easily be able to temper his body to the fullest.

Not to mention, he also had the system.

So, he was buying these to improve his alchemy and also help Elaine improve her strength before the start of the Annual Competition.

'Hopefully, she finishes the first stage of that technique within a week.'

He thought to himself as he approached his house. Suddenly, his expression sank.

He quickly opened the door and found no one inside.

He was stunned for a moment until he went closer to the stove and found a small paper there.

He unfolded the paper and read it.

[Sorry, Ken! I am really sorry. I just met you, but I have to leave you again. This time I won't hide the reason from you.]

[I don't know how, but the people from Heavenly Puppet Sect have found me. A battle between us could easily destroy the Lightning Sword Kingdom.]

[I don't know their reason to chase me here, but I have to lure them away. Sorry, Ken!]

When he read that, his expression immediately changed.

'Nether Race found her. What's their end goal? Is it simply to kill her...'

'Or, do they want to lure her away?'
