Recent The Monk's Sacrifice

The Prodigy's Journey

Shree Yan's Transformation

Shree Yan's loud cry was followed by an unsettling emptiness. The monk's death had hollowed him out, leaving behind a chilling indifference.

"Old monk," he thought, his voice devoid of emotion, "you entered my life and steered me in a new direction. When I was lost, you gave me purpose. For ten years, you were my teacher, my guide, my confidante. You were more than a teacher; you were family. Yet, I apologize for straying from the righteous path."

Shree Yan pressed on, determined to forge a new beginning. Suddenly, a disciple from Gambhir Bahun's sect emerged from behind and struck him. Though injured, Shree Yan survived the attack.

"You attacked from behind like a scavenger," Shree Yan sneered. "It seems your entire sect is rotten to the core."

The disciple, clutching his weapon, retorted, "Just like a worm, we strike swiftly to end your misery."

Shree Yan let out a hollow laugh. "You murdered my teacher, and now you seek to finish me off? But I am beyond your reach."

The enraged disciple roared, "Silence! You die now!"

Shree Yan's laughter echoed as he countered with surprising agility. In a flash, he severed the disciple's left hand, eliciting a scream of agony.

"How does it feel to lose a limb?" Shree Yan taunted, his voice devoid of warmth.

The pained disciple could only whimper in response.

Just then, the sounds of battle reached them from outside.

Leaving the wounded disciple behind, Shree Yan rushed towards the commotion. He found himself witnessing a duel between two young masters - Diwahang Rai from the Rai family and Dhungel Bahun from the Bahun sect.

"Isn't that your sect's young master?" Shree Yan inquired, gesturing towards Dhungel.

The injured disciple, fearing for his life, confirmed, "Yes, that's him. You are the new young master now. I'll inform him to kill you."

The disciple attempted to flee, but Shree Yan swiftly grabbed him by the neck.

"Leaving so soon?" Shree Yan said, his voice laced with menace. "Not while I'm here. You're a fool."

The terrified disciple stammered, "Anything! I'll tell the young master to give you whatever you want - gold, silver, treasures... anything!"

"That's not what I desire," Shree Yan replied coldly. "Even if you offered, it wouldn't be enough. Tell me, what is the true nature of your bond with the young master?"

The disciple remained silent, refusing to answer.

Shree Yan's grip tightened around the disciple's neck.

"Speak!" Shree Yan growled.

Panicked, the disciple blurted out, "Alright, alright! You're no human, you're a demon!"

Shree Yan's eyes narrowed menacingly.

"I'll tell you everything!" the disciple sputtered. "We're brothers-in-law! His sister's wedding is approaching. Now that you know, will you please let me go?"

A chilling smile crept across Shree Yan's face. "Why should I release you? You could be useful."

The terrified disciple thought to himself, "This is a demon, just like Shree Yan said. Don't utter another word, or you're dead."

They emerged from their hiding place to find the duel between Diwahang Rai and Dhungel Bahun still raging.

"Diwahang Rai!" Dhungel Bahun boomed. "You dare trespass on our land and steal our belongings!"

Dhungel's smug smile was met with a defiant roar from Diwahang. "Dhungel Bahun, have you forgotten that in this world, power dictates everything?"

"Don't lecture me about power!" Dhungel retorted, his anger rising.

Just then, Shree Yan and the disciple arrived at the scene...
