Chapter 131: I Won't Bite.
Friar Paul is one of the two E-rank supers participating in the game. The other being Augustus. But unlike Augustus, he earned his power through mostly fan count. So he wouldn't attack her. He was exactly what she needed and more.
It seemed her luck had changed from the worst to the best because he was literally the best person she could encounter. He is not the strongest, as that title belongs to the Baron. But the Baron would be useless since the old man doesn't fight at all.
She thought to herself in glee, "With him, Augustus will be toast once we encounter him."
He didn't speak to her, which was not out of place for him. He rarely speaks or interacts with others. It also wasn't weird that he just stood there regarding her silently.
She offered him a smile and said, "I am Sasha, an amplifier. I can help you get stronger. Do you want to work together?"
She introduced herself because he might not know her. Besides, she was the one that needed his help. She couldn't be too proud. She had to ask.
She sighed in relief when he nodded at her. She relaxed and thought to herself, "This is as good as it gets."
Then she said, "I'll move closer to you now. I need to touch you to enhance your ability. I am no danger to you."
He nodded to her, so she approached him carefully. She was hoping not to spook him as if he were some skittish horse.
Her caution didn't stop her from being attacked, though. And despite her paying attention, she couldn't do anything as Friar Paul's skin grew a bone spike that impaled the hand she was about to lay on him.
A voice she was all too familiar with came out of Frial Paul's face with a sneer, "I've got you."
Kelvin was really happy. He was so happy that he was grinning with too many teeth. His lips had split apart to reveal many rows of sharp teeth. He looked like a beast straight out of a nightmare.
At that point, Sasha wished she was in a nightmare. She wished she was still tied up by the vines and had lost too much blood, which caused her to hallucinate her freedom and encounter with the best person who could help her.
A nightmare would be several times better than what was going on. Unfortunately, things were real. The pain from her palm confirmed it.
Kelvin asked her, "Tell me, little parrot, where did your confidence to mouth off to me come from? Even better, tell me where it has gone now. Tell me why you are shaking in fear."
His mouth had become large enough to swallow her head whole. But he said, "Come on now. Don't be shy. I won't bite."
She didn't believe him at all. "Please don't kill me. I am sure we can work something out. I can help you."
He laughed at her. "What a fool. You are surely going to die. There is no doubt about it. I am just considering how to do it and if I have the time to waste on you."
She teared up as her hopes left her. "You beast. You monster. You will regret this. You will never get away with this. Someday someone will have your weakness and do the worst things to you."
Since her fate was sealed, she had no more interest in holding back. She cursed him at the top of her lungs.
He crushed her neck with his fist. It didn't kill her immediately. She fell to the ground, choking, still trying to curse him. So he put her out of her misery by stomping on her skull and shattering it.
He sneered and said, "I was wrong. You are not worth my time."
Someone appeared at the entrance of the street. They stopped some distance from him and stated at him in horror. It was their presence that made Kelvin kill Sasha quickly.
He didn't want anything to go wrong because he was sloppy. It would be a big shame to him if she escapes, or worse, gangs up on him with the new person, all because he didn't kill her when he should have.
He didn't want to be cocky, but the person who witnessed him stomp her head until it burst didn't think he was being meticulous. They thought he was a monster.
Dustin was clearly terrified. He said, "You are not Paul, are you?"
Kelvin's face had returned to normal. He turned to Dustin and said, "What makes you say that?"
Dustin didn't reply. Instead, he continued with his train of thought. He said, "You are Augustus, right?"
Again, Kelvin asked, "What makes you say that? Do I look like Augustus to you?"
He took a step forward to close the distance between them.
He did so slowly while explaining, "I don't look like Augustus. I am Paul. If I were Augustus, I would be on the ground kneeling because of the Burden of Respect. How could I work around so easily?"
Dustin finally calmed down. He said, "That's true. You don't look stressed at all. You can't be Augustus. He doesn't have immunity or any null ability."
Kelvin nodded in agreement. He said, "Right?"
He said that as he moved closer nonchalantly.
Dustin didn't notice his movements because he was thinking about something bordering him. He asked, "Why did you kill her? I thought you didn't kill."

This is the core of why he was terrified earlier. He wasn't terrified because he witnessed Sasha's death. He was terrified of what it could mean if the Paul he was looking at was Augustus.
Kelvin sighed and replied, "She wanted me to work together with her to kill Augustus. I told her I wasn't interested. She insisted and said some rash words. She said I was weak and afraid of Augustus. She said all my fans would be disappointed. She said I was a failure. She said a lot of angry words."
Dustin exclaimed, "Wow. That's harsh of her."
