DESTINY GAMES

Chapter 129: Wolf Among Sheep.

He was very surprised when he looked sideways to thank the Baron for the warning only to see the Baron swing his fist at him to punch his face.

The competitor didn't even think about resisting when he was attacked because he couldn't and because he couldn't win even if he did.

If he attacked the Baron, that would count as disrespect and cause him to bear the Burden of Respect. That combineed with the Baron's D-rank power made a fight with him hopeless.

He shouldn't have to face this situation from the Baron after paying his respects. So he didn't understand what was going on.

The first thing that he thought to do was beg and create some distance between them. He asked in fright, "Sir, why are you doing this?"

But Kelvin didn't listen. He continued to attack him with a bone blade. He thrust his whole arm through the man's face.

The man died with one clean blow after realizing what was truly going on when the bone blade came very close to his face for him to identify it as something he had prepared extensively to deal with. Unfortunately, it was too late by the time he realized what was happening.

Kelvin murmured to himself as he wiped the blood off of his arm, "That was sloppy. The key is to catch them off guard. I have to do better next time."

He dragged the man into an alley and turned into them. Next, he wore their clothes. They were still intact. That's why he had attacked the head. Then he moved on to find other targets.

Meanwhile, the spectators had become silent. Their silence made it so that the shouts from his fans became obvious. His fans were going wild with excitement.

Even the moderator was not exempt from this. He had gotten snacks from somewhere which he was munching on as he watched the main screen.

Popcorn fell from his mouth as he pointed and asked, "Did you see that?"

He waved his hand towards the screen which causes the scene where Kelvin killed the man to be replayed.

He shook his head in wonder. "I must tell you, that is truly something. I see why he believes himself to be a predator. He is a wolf among sheep. This people are screwed at this rate."

Then he saw Kelvin change into the competitor and wear his clothes. It made him stop chewing his pop corn for a while a she needed both of his hands to clap.

Even his wing were fluttering in excitement. He picked up his bucket of popcorn and hugged it to his chest again. Then he resumed snacking.

But he didn't forget his job. He gave a comment on the game.

He said, "I hope these people have a plan to deal with him or there will be a blood bath. In fact, there might still be a blood bath even if they have a plan. I have very little hope for them. Things are worse because the only person that can defeat him might not be willing to do so even if they can track him."

"But I wonder. If Augustus is this strong with the Burden of Respect, just how strong is he without it?"

This was a question that everyone watching had. Only Wrath didn't have that question circling in her mind. She was currently following him around as she always did. He didn't see her, but she was there right by side all the time.

She knew almost everything there was to know about him, so she had the answer to that question. By her estimates, no D-rank should be able to match him in terms of strength. That much is clear from the fact that he is doing well even with the Burden of Respect.

But the others didn't know that. Even so, from what they knew, they already consider him an apex predator in this game.

The moderator was not the only one who had very little hope about the chances of the other competitors. No matter how they looked at things, the competitors were screwed. They could only hope for a miracle.

Aleen and her parents were also watching. Aleen was grinding her teeth both in fear and frustration.

She stood up in frustration and said, "I am not watching this anymore. It is just going to be the same thing."

She left the stadium and returned to the real world. Her parents were still watching, thinking about how they would fare if they found themselves in the same game with Augustus.

While the spectators had become silent as they sat on the edge of their seats feeling anxious, the competitors were still oblivious of the trouble they were in. They were still hunting enthusiastically. Experience more on empire

They are not ignorant idiots. They knew that Augustus was a great threat to them and were afraid of him. But their fears died down after he refused to pay his respect to the Baron. They felt that they didn't have much to worry about anymore.

Sasha also didn't worry much. She still had faith in the plan that 34 of them had come up with before the game. Besides, she had a lot of trouble on her hands currently to worry about.

A beast had found her as soon as the game started. She hadn't found someone to work with yet, so she was alone with this beast.

This was the second worst thing that she expected could happen to her. The worst thing would be appearing in the forest beside Augustus or meeting him before she formed a team.

This is not the worst, but it is still bad. The beast was a large bear. It was large and slow. She could outrun it, but it had appeared in the middle of the street she was in. It was blocking the way out.

This limited her options. She either had to fight it or rush into the houses by the side of the road. But the houses might be dangerous too.
