Chapter 116: A Well Placed Backhand.

"If the bombs don't finish him off, there is still me. As long as he gets within my sight, I will be able to cripple him. There's also you guys. Equip your rockets and bring out the gatling guns. Let's wait for him and give him a warm welcome."

He was not confident that his ability would work on this enemy who attacked them all on his own and can bring down blast doors with his fists, but there's no reason to tell them that. That would only achieve the opposite of what he wants.

What he said made his guards relax. They stopped being suspicious of him in the meantime and became confident of defeating this invader. But they still made up their minds to run away as soon as they defeated the intruder.

They prepared everything as he instructed them. Then they waited for the intruder to enter their trap.

Meanwhile, Kelvin was working on the second blast door. The walls on his sides were two meters thick. In between them was a two-meter tunnel. The two blast doors blocked the two ends of the tunnel.

He had to break both of them before he could reach the main room where Black Mantis meets his customers. There were other rooms on the floor, but none of them had blast doors sealing access to them.

The tunnel he was in had sensors that were picking up the guns, grenade launcher, and flamethrower he had with him. They were blaring an alarm, which made no difference since there was already an alarm blaring ever since he detonated the bomb.

So everyone knows about his presence and intentions at this point. In a normal situation, the operators of the security system would let him pass through at this point after going through the identification process and truth screening.

But despite passing the identification examination and the truth screening, they still don't want to give him access. So he has to make his own access.

He did so by blasting holes in the area where the locks of the door were situated. This destroyed the locks and rendered the door useless. It was a technique that he picked up from the previous owner of the Explosive Fist.

He didn't open the door when he was done with it. He went back all the way to the entrance at the elevator. Then he began a sprint through the first room, the tunnel, and smashed against the door.

He didn't know what to expect, but he thought going in with shock and awe was a good idea. It turned out to be a good idea. He was so fast that he passed through the massive explosion that engulfed him as soon as he passed by the door.

He barreled into the room faster than the guards could react. They were waiting for him, but he still caught them off guard.

He grabbed a gun from a guard and turned it into a club. Then he proceeded to use the heavy metal club to bash in the heads of everyone around him.

It was all chaos. They wanted to shoot, but he was already amidst them. He is also too fast. So to shoot their guns at him would be to endanger the others. Find more chapters on empire

The smart idea was not to shoot, but they had no choice in what else they should do. They were also scared and trigger happy. Guns went off, and so did rocket launchers. It was truly chaos.

Kelvin rushed around among them like an angry bull. Black Mantis tried to dominate his mind to stop him, but a well placed backhand to his face put an end to that silly idea. The boss was slapped into a corner of the room, which saved his life from all the friendly fire going around.

The fight ended in less than ten seconds. To be honest, he wasn't responsible for killing all of them. They had made things easier for him.

He smiled and said to Wrath, "That was quite a fight, wasn't it?"

Wrath asked, "Are you talking to me?"

He stopped smiling and replied, "Who's talking to you?"

He went to work scrapping their security and surveillance system. He deleted every record they had. Then he dragged Black Mantis into a room for a private chat.

The chat was quiet and quick. It was over in less than a minute. Unfortunately, Black Mantis didn't make it after the chat. Kelvin had to kill him to keep what they discussed private.

Kelvin gained the Mind Domination ability. It fused with the Mental Network ability to form the Mental Domination Network. With this ability, he doesn't need to touch someone anymore to form a connection with their minds. All he needs is for him to have a direct line of sight with them.

With the connection, he can give them a mental shield, communicate with them over a long distance, make them feel the best pleasure, or make them feel the worst pain.

Unlike the Mind Domination ability, the connection with the network is permanent, so he can dominate their minds even when they are nowhere around him. As long as he has seen them once and as long as the connection remains, he will always be able to dominate their minds.

It is a great ability that cost him just 20 game points. So he still has 85 game points to spend. He already knows what he wants to spend it on next.

Kelvin came out of the room and then proceeded with setting fire to the gang. He didn't want it anymore. It is because he doesn't like the Black Mantis gang and because he has a better idea.

Ratter than replace Black Mantis, it is better to start his own gang free from old and numerous enemies. That is safer than becoming the new Black Mantis.

Also, rather than start a gang, he can start a cabal. A cabal is more profitable than a gang. It just so happens that he has gained a good ability to bring many gangs together and be their leader.
