Destined Villain's Life

Chapter 13: [13] Younger Zick's dream

With everything set in motion, Five days quickly went by.

Turning into Monday, the day Alter magic academy re-opens, simply referred to as [Alter].

Equal to the amount of prestige possessed by [Alter], the admission requirements are just as challenging.

Of course, the children of the powerful pristine sky continent's families can gain admission relatively easily, but commoners must fiercely hone their skills and compete on merits.

The [Alter] campus is quiet during this vacation time. The returning freshmen and soon-to-be sophomores are likely to make it busy once again.

Just like the saying that school is a society, there is a hierarchy in [Alter] academy. It's a stratum considering status, wealth, lineage, ability, etc., and not only the office of education but also the media divide the students into pyramid-style tiers.

Leaving behind the 20 or so buildings which acted as the dormitory for Gold and silver class cadets, Zick quickly got up on one of the Trams waiting at the station.

Unlike before, there were many other cadets and staff members on the tram today. Some were busy on their phones, while some nervously waited for their destination.

Only two months or so had passed since the [Alter] admitted freshmen into it.

For all the new cadets, an invisible pressure existed in their hearts. Still not used to their new life in [Alter].

Beep~

Arriving at the next stop, the tram let out a soft sound.

More than half of the people got off alongside Zick.

Whenever cadets gazed at Zick, their eyes widened, before they looked away. It wasn't that his face was eye-catching or special, but due to the word boldly written on the back of his uniform.

{INVINCIBLE}

The [Alter] allowed cadets to write a catch-phrase or lucky number on their uniform. And Zick wrote what his dream was on it, that was to be invincible.

That was what motivated him the most at a younger age. With enough strength, you could be free from every shackle that existed.

'Invincible, huh...' Walking forward, Zick thought seriously.

'Let me fulfil my younger self's dreams then. If it's just in the academy then there is no problem in being invincible.'

Zick smiled confidently to himself, with cold eyes.

There was no one in [Alter], who didn't know he had [INVINCIBLE] imprinted on his back. Hence, many people realized Zick's identity, even if it was their first time seeing him.

Zick, the pinnacle of sword talent. The first ranker among the diamond class cadets of this year's freshmen.

[Alter Office of Academic attendance]

Before heading towards their respective classes, Cadets were required to scan their ID's in this office.

Walking towards the corridor of Diamond class, Zick found a scanner at one side. Quickly scanning his ID, he continued moving.

"Oh?"

There was a large poster on the corridor wall.

First year diamond rankers.

[Zick Dejlin - The son of the senator.]

[Dershein Des Perje -....]

[Ellen Jolheim -....]

[Aster -.....]

[Celene Arshein -....]

[Karlin Deshin -....]

His eyes scanned the poster top to bottom.

Various emotions flashed within his eyes. Interestingly, all the people at the top of the poster were people who had some connections to Zick, both good and bad, a few a little complicated to explain.

Not surprisingly, all the rankers other than Aster were from high class families of the pristine sky continent.

"....So I will meet these guys again."

However this time, he will only know them as Zick. Not a vengeful spirit after the Ethereal or the dark information scavenger.

Just Zick, a cadet who aspired to become the strongest.

With just a few minutes left for the class to start, he didn't linger around anymore.

'It would be annoying to get on the bad side of that professor...' Zick smiled remembering an face.

As people would expect, the diamond class's size was comparable to a normal tennis stadium. With dozens of rows of seats, positioned in U shape.

Seeing Zick enter the class, most of the cadets were indifferent. While a few nodded towards him as a greeting.

The moment he sat down in the back rows, the girl beside him straightened her back with a scowling expression.

Looking at the red short haired-girl scowling at him, Zick was speechless. He knew the other party, Karlin Deshin, who was also from the richest family of this continent.

Due to Wildart's involvement in a business, the Deshin family lost a lot of money a week ago. Though the losses were not even comparable to a drop in a bucket with their finances. They were still very dissatisfied with this incident.

Karlin showed a bad expression whenever she saw Zick, thanks to this incident. She wanted to bully him at the start, to 'avenge' her family.

Who would have expected it to be the opposite, Zick had easily crushed Karlin and every other cadet in the mock Competitions.

The S-rank [Sword aura] was a cheat level skill to say the least. It could enhance the overall strength of any sword technique by two times.

Now with sword intent, Zick was even more untouchable.

Only the dark horse, Aster, was able to compare to him. And even obtain victory due to the unexpected failure of safety equipment.

[Detected a person with strong destiny.]

Zick nodded his head towards Karlin, before gazing at the front rows of the classroom.

'She still came....' Zick was happy to see Aster.

However, Celene was nowhere to be seen. There was a very high chance she would never come to the academy again too.

Seeing Zick intently looking at Aster, Karlin pouted.

"I saw your duel with Aster, you would have easily won if not for the safety equipment failure. There's nothing special about her, hmph!" Karlin spoke disdainfully.

"That so? Thanks." Zick returned a smile to her.

"Ugh!" Karlin covered her blushing face by laying down on the table.

'What's his deal....'

Seeing her hostile reaction towards him, Zick had treated her as an enemy in the past too.

'Well, she didn't try to bully me even after I lost everything.' Zick recalled.

After Zick lost his mana veins, Karlin could have easily bullied him. But such a thing didn't happen till the end.

'She will be a good friend to have. Still, I don't see her helping me against Ethereal. Then, a simple friend who I can pass my time with.' Zick came to a conclusion for the relation he would maintain with Karlin.

As for marrying her? He was never interested in marrying anyone in the first place. It was weird that a system would have such a function.

'I really wonder who made it that way....' Zick turned towards the system notification that he had ignored.

[Name: Karlin Deshin

Destiny grade: Heroic

Destiny: Business queen - gain unexpected profit no matter what business she tries.

favourability: 30 (friendly)]

[The host's relationship with Karlin has been detected. You have obtained 3,000 destiny points and your destiny has been strengthened.]

'...She can act as my money bank too, I guess.'

Zick brought back his pettiness with money from before regression, in this life. It was a habit he developed after living like a vagrant.

Unlike the lower rank classes, the cadets from diamond class were friendly with each other. They already knew each other even before getting into [Alter].

Meeting thanks to family ventures or parties.

Though it may seem like they entered the diamond class through connections, that's not the case. They possessed strength and talent worthy of their position.

[Alter] was strict to every cadet without discrimination.

Click~

At that moment, the door of the classroom was pushed open.

A middle aged man wearing a luxurious suit walked in. Just his presence caused the classroom to quieten down instantaneously.

'Khein Jheller.' Zick calmly looked at the familiar professor at the podium.
