Demonic Pornstar System

Chapter 321: The Public's Reaction

"Ladies and gentlemen, that is the theory we at ChronosX believe in, and we made this conference to shed light on a rapidly building threat whose danger potential might be higher than nuclear warfare itself."

Maximilian's voice boomed with practiced gravity. The press hall fell into stunned silence. For a long moment, no one spoke, no one moved.

Then, slowly, murmurs rose. Reporters began voicing their questions all at once.

But Kaiden and the Valkyries never heard the first question.

Instead, their minds' screens focused on the response of the people as they read through the posts people made on the internet.

Forum pages were already flooding in and climbing in upvotes as if they were wildfire.

The top posts read like damning verdicts:

"Valhalla's Sinners EXPOSED!"

"Proof They're Brainwashed Dolls."

"Is Kaiden the Greatest Conman in History?"

"Kaiden Grey is a disgusting man!"

The highest upvoted comment was a wall of text:

"I knew something was off from the start! Look at those Valkyrie women, look at their eyes. They're clearly brainwashed! Not even my girlfriend looks at me the way those women stare at that manipulative son of a bitch, and we're supposed to believe that strong awakened warriors just 'happen' to be head-over-heels for a scumbag who forces them to shoot porn? Impossible! You can practically see the strings on their limbs. It's disgusting. He should be arrested and jailed."

Dozens of users chimed in beneath it, echoing with laughter and applause emojis.

Many were men, hiding behind avatars, their words laced with bitterness. Some were clearly only doing this out of the jealousy they felt toward Kaiden for "stealing" the women they could only dream of. Others seethed that they could no longer watch Valhalla's explicit content without guilt, now convinced it was built on exploitation. Whether jealousy, outrage, or something else drove them, no one could tell, but many people were clearly happy to jump on the hate wagon.

But then, scattered between the hate, some users pushed back.

"This is bollocks! That fat pig needs to shut up. Stop speaking badly about Kai. He treats his women as if they were the most precious gemstones in the world; no shadowy manipulator would treat his puppets as he does!"

"I've followed them since the start. If you think those women are brainwashed, you've clearly never seen what love looks like. The way they laugh, the way they fight alongside him… that isn't fake. Such a thing can't be forced through magic. This is jealousy, plain and simple."

Still, their voices were buried quickly under the tide.

The narrative was already spreading faster than truth could catch it.

On another board, someone clipped Maximilian's speech, isolating his dramatic catchphrase:

"That's an anomaly."

It was already turning into a meme.

Doctored images of Kaiden's face filled the feed with his mouth stretched into a cruel, villainous smile, his eyes shaded in crimson. Behind him, the Valkyries' faces were photoshopped into lifeless, porcelain dolls, their eyes hollow, their bodies positioned like marionettes.

And it didn't stop. Every refresh brought more. More parodies. More twisted jokes. More venom.

The tide was turning.

But then Luna's spiteful scream brought the others out of reading even more posts and comments.

"That's defamation!" Her fists were clenched so tight her knuckles whitened. Her violet eyes burned like amethyst flame, brighter than Kaiden had ever seen them, fury sparking in every syllable. "He stood there not as some random dude but as the CEO of ChronosX! As their representative! And he used the exact words 'that is the theory we at ChronosX believe in'! This is a clear-cut case of defamation! No proof, no nothing, just baseless accusations!"

Aria agreed with a grave tone full of anger. "And he didn't whisper this in some smoky backroom or private board call, he said it at a press conference broadcast across the entire world! It's already everywhere! This cannot be legal…"

However, Nyx didn't join them. She just sank back against the bed, her face pale as snow, lips bloodless, as her hands trembled against the sheets.

She knew Maximilian, knew him far better than the others. He wasn't stupid. He wasn't reckless. He was a vile scumbag who deserved the worst of fates possible, yes, but he did not get to where he was today by accident. He knew exactly what lines to cross and which ones to dance around. He knew how to weaponize the system, how to twist it in his favor. He was playing a game… and thus far, he always won.

"He doesn't care…" Kaiden finally spoke, muttering darkly. "We can sue him. We don't even need to hire expensive lawyers to wipe the floor with him in court. We'd win without question. But so what? The verdict won't come instantly. With his wealth, his reach, his lawyers, he'll drag the proceedings out for years."

His eyes hardened even further than before as his pure hatred was slowly transformed, turning strategic. Kaiden felt nothing for Maximilian but a desire to torture and murder him. But now, he was forced to go on the defensive, forced to calculate and strategize. Blind, murderous desire would get him nowhere, especially not with what they were facing.

As a result, his voice grew colder. "And when the court finds him guilty in the end, what then? He's a billionaire. He can pay any fine they throw at him and shrug it off as pocket change."

He leaned forward, his gaze shadowed, his conviction grim.

"But while we waste time in endless court battles, our name and reputation will bleed in the streets. The damage is already done. He's achieved what he wanted, making the public who were merely going with the flow thus far ask some hard questions."

Kaiden grimaced. "With a single speech, he's painted me as a significantly worse person than a mere criminal… Now I've become some extraterrestrial monster who enslaves and brainwashes innocent, defenseless women in order to force them into doing his bidding. While I'm sure some of our viewers will know it's pure fantasy spun by a deranged man, what about the fans who haven't yet had the chance to get to know us better? What about the future viewers who haven't even seen a single second of our content? What will their first assumptions be about us now? I am the Blood Knight, the warrior who is ready to bleed so that he can protect his lovers. This image has helped us quickly enchant viewers and turn them into fans. But if they believe this nonsense…"
