Demonic Dragon: Harem System

Chapter 631: Just fight.

The first collision occurred before anyone could breathe.

Zani flashed in a sheer arc, slicing through the air at an impossible angle, so fast it left black rifts suspended in the atmosphere—as if space had been torn apart and hadn't yet decided whether to mend itself again.

Scathach raised her bare hand, and the runes on her body lit up all at once, pulsing in unison like the hearts of giants. The collision generated a flash that blinded even the warriors in the sky. Daniela instinctively shielded herself with her wing, Frieren raised a shield, and still they felt the impact rip through their bodies, sending blood pounding through their veins.

The entire island screamed.

The sand on the beach turned to glass in concentric circles, trees on the distant slopes were uprooted, and the sea—the sea receded even further, opening a liquid abyss that exposed abyssal creatures writhing in the darkness, as if unwitting witnesses to the duel.

Strax roared, swinging his sword in wide sweeps, each strike accompanied by cracks in the sky, like thunder shattering the blue dome. Each time Zani descended, the world shattered into luminous scars.

Scathach did not retreat. She advanced against the blade, her arms, devoid of any weapon, slicing through the air like spears. Each blow was accompanied by crimson blasts, columns of living fire that exploded against the sword's blade and Strax's body, generating shockwaves that spanned kilometers.

When the sword struck the ground, the island trembled like a wounded animal, gigantic cracks opening and swallowing entire forests. As Scathach retaliated, the sky turned red, clouds evaporating in moments under the fury of the heat.

It was like watching two gods trying to forcibly reshape the world.

"HAAAAAAA!" Strax's roar pierced the sound barrier, and his draconic form began to bristle beneath his skin, black and green scales appearing in chaotic patterns across his arms and face. Zani glowed in response, as if recognizing the impending transformation and demanding it.

He spun, his blade arcing upward, splitting the air and raising a wall of molten glass from the beach. Scathach didn't just block it: she cut through the blow. Her hand closed over the blade, the runes burning against the edge that should have been absolute.

The world seemed to hold its breath.

And then the impossible happened.

Scathach grabbed Zani.

The runes on her body expanded, covering the sword, trying to overwhelm it, but the blade responded with a shrill scream—no ordinary sound, but the roar of every dragon that had ever died beneath its edge. The shockwave shattered the flesh of Scathach's hand, exposing bone, but she only laughed and pushed back.

"HARDER!" she roared, her teeth bared in frenzy.

Strax advanced, the sword burning, forcing the blade against her until the earth beneath her feet crumbled into magma. The ground literally gave way, revealing the island's core—and the two fell together, still locked in combat, into an abyss of boiling lava.

The ocean surged in titanic walls to fill the space, but evaporated before it reached the crater. Steam covered the sky like a war curtain.

Daniela, panicked, shouted from above:

"STRAX!"

But Frieren held her arm firmly, her eyes fixed on the crater.

"Don't interfere! This isn't a fight we can interrupt. This... this is beyond our comprehension."

Inside the crater, the two of them didn't stop.

Strax cut through the lava walls with blinding blows, his sword parting incandescent rivers like silken veils. Scathach followed, her bare feet crushing molten stone, each step leaving new craters. She advanced with fists that split mountains. He responded with slashes that split mountains in half.

With each impact, chunks of the island were thrown into space, transformed into flaming meteors that streaked across the sky.

Scarlet, still on the beach, raised an arm to shield her face from the raining fragments. Insane as she was, even she couldn't hide the shiver. "They'll tear the world in two…"

Suddenly, a flash of light erupted from the crater. Strax exploded outward, draconic wings tearing from his back amidst blood and steam. Zani in his hands roared like a living beast, and he descended from the sky in a vertical strike.

Scathach followed. Like a human missile, her crimson body pierced the smoke and intercepted the blow in midair. The impact sent a shockwave ripping the sky in two—clouds being swept away like mere curtains.

They fell again, but there was no island to hold them. The earth shattered beneath their feet, reduced to fragments suspended in the void.

And that was when Strax finally gave way.

A guttural roar escaped him, and his draconic form exploded in black and green flames. Scales covered his entire body, twisted horns sprouted, and his eyes burned with a chaotic glow. He was no longer a man with a sword. He was the dragon himself, wielding a blade made to slay gods.

Zani vibrated, fueled by blood and transformation.

Scathach raised her arms, the runes on her skin expanding until they covered the entire horizon. The entire world became her magic circle. She herself was the spell.

They collided.

The sword cut through the runes. The runes enveloped the sword. Each time they touched, reality shattered—shards of space flew like glass. The sky was streaked with black gashes, the earth churned, and the ocean vanished, transformed into vapor before it even existed.

From above, Daniela wept without realizing it. "They're... going to kill each other..."

Belatrix pressed her lips together, fascinated.

"No... this is different. This is birth."

Below, Scathach gripped the blade again with both hands, and for the first time, her feet gave way. The Zani's power pushed her back, burning her flesh, splitting her runes, tearing her body into open lines that bled fire.

Strax roared, spitting black flames straight at her face, the blade pressing down.

"DIE!"

But Scathach only laughed. Blood flowed, the runes cracked, and still she laughed.

"THIS! THIS IS WHAT I WANTED!"

And then, with a primal scream, she did something no one expected: she dropped the sword.

Her entire body exploded in crimson light, transforming into pure energy. The impact threw Strax backward, crashing through mountains, across the sea, until he smashed into another distant island. The impact created a seismic wave that swept across the entire archipelago.

Silence fell for a moment.

And then, from the crimson explosion, Scathach emerged again. Half of her body was burned, the runes faded in parts, but her eyes… her eyes shone like never before.

She stretched out her arms, laughing madly, the flames engulfing her.

"AGAIN, STRAX! AGAIN! UNTIL ONE OF US FALLS!"

Strax, even buried under rock and blood, rose. The Zani still burned in his hand. His wings spread with a roar, and his roar tore the sky in two.

And they advanced once more.
