Ishida scratched his head, baffled. "Why am I having such a hard time...!? I don't even remember the last time I struggled against any opponent I faced," he mused to himself. It was really true. Ever since he was reawakened, he hadn't had any trouble. He started dominating every fight, no matter how big or tough the enemy was. But now, he was struggling, and it didn't make sense. "I can't just sit here and think about why this is happening. I have to move forward and complete the quest first... But..."
He tried to push those thoughts away for a little while, but the memory of the girl's words before she vanished just wouldn't leave him alone. He couldn't shake them off.
The image of the young girl's face kept popping back into his mind, along with the family he had rescued. But...
Ishida tightened his grip on the hilt of his sword, channeling his focus and suppressing the turmoil within. The demons circled him, their menacing eyes probing for weakness, but Ishida felt a calm clarity beginning to settle in his mind.
"Enough," he whispered to himself, the word carrying the weight of his resolve. He could not afford distractions—not now, not ever.
The first demon lunged again, its claws outstretched with vicious intent. Ishida moved swiftly, sidestepping the attack with newfound precision. He countered with a swift slash, his sword cutting through the demon's arm. A howl of agony echoed through the air, but Ishida was already pivoting to face the second demon.
"Moon Breathing Second Form: Pearl Moon, Requiem of Sorrow!" Ishida shouted, his voice steady. His sword released a series of rapid, crescent-shaped strikes that illuminated the air with a silvery glow. The second demon, caught off guard, reeled back, its growl turning into a desperate cry.
With a decisive thrust, Ishida plunged his blade into the first demon's chest, feeling the resistance of its tough hide give way. He withdrew his sword with a swift motion, watching as the creature disintegrated into ash.
The second demon, sensing its impending doom, attempted a final assault. Ishida met its charge head-on, his movements fluid and unyielding. "Moon Breathing Third Form: Lunar Eclipse, Despair's End!" he declared, executing a powerful downward strike that cleaved the demon in two.
As the last remnants of the demons vanished into the ether, Ishida stood amidst the fading shadows, his chest heaving with exertion. The battle was won, but the echoes of the girl's words lingered, a haunting reminder of unfinished business.
He lowered his sword, casting a glance at the space where the girl had appeared. Her accusation, her pain—it was all too real, and it demanded answers. But those would have to wait. For now, he had a mission to complete, and he couldn't let anything deter him from that path.

With a deep breath, Ishida sheathed his sword and turned his gaze forward. The quest was far from over, but he felt a renewed sense of purpose guiding his steps. Whatever lay ahead, he was ready to face it—stronger, wiser, and more determined than ever.
