Chapter 793: The World Is a Big House_2
It does seem as Abuyi said; the Shadow Fragments in this world have nearly all been seized by this guy.
Oh, and there's the Elder of Shadows.
Could it have been Fernando who killed the Elder of Shadows? If so, that must have been a long, long time ago.
After the death of the Elder of Shadows, his body did not decay, and the residual Shadow's Power formed a unique space.
This force seemed incredibly powerful to Roger at the time, but to Fernando, it appeared to be of little significance.
His attention should have been focused on the other major Transcendent Worlds surrounding the Tower of the World.
A complete world was destroyed, Transcendent Worlds interlaced, reality and transcendence fused, with countless World Fragments gathering within.
That made the entire world appear chaotic and disordered.
Observing everyone's reactions, "Abuyi was right, at least most of it is correct."
"Glad you admit it!"
"It's time for you to pay the price!" Abuyi's eyes flashed with malice, he looked like a Rebel, but in truth, he was far from innocent.
"You're still so impatient." Fernando shook his head.
"Listen to me and let me speak..."
"What's there to say!" He rudely interrupted Fernando.
"He's holding onto the best resources yet still exploiting our living space; destroying his plan is the only way we can continue to improve."
Abuyi was evidently unwilling to give Fernando a chance to speak.
"Let him speak."
A tall, bare-chested man spoke, his skin a healthy bronze with silver patterns depicted across his cheeks and torso.
On his head was a colorful Feather Crown, his voice low and deep, like a giant serpent slowly crawling through the rainforest.
Koyatel, coming from that lush rainforest, was nominally a Dragonborn, but his bloodline was closer to the legendary Feathered Serpent.
"If it's really like you said, I will also make the right choice." The man said in a deep voice.
"Koyatel!"
"Do you know what you're saying?" Alicia's eyes flashed with anger.
"I'm sorry." Koyatel lowered his head slowly.
"This isn't betrayal."
"Haha, fantastic." Abuyi laughed out loud; it was clear Koyatel was not someone he had persuaded beforehand.
This kind of last-minute defection further swayed others' judgments, Abuyi's supporters increased again, and the scale completely tipped to his side.
"Go ahead."
Unwillingly, Abuyi still agreed to Koyatel's proposal.
"Where should I begin?" Fernando pondered for a moment, lowering his head.
"Let's start with the world we're currently in."
"Everyone should know, this is a broken world, but do you know the state of the world before it shattered?"
"Look at the mountain beneath our feet, or rather call it the Tower of the World, long ago this was the center of the world."
"The Summit of the Gods was divided from top to bottom into twelve individual Transcendent Worlds, each world isolated but with pathways also connecting them, and through the Tower of the World, you could reach anywhere."
"At that time, this was called the Realm of the Gods, and those who governed the twelve Transcendent Worlds were called the Twelve Main Gods."
"Gods?" Abuyi sneered.
"Just a more powerful Fifth Tier Transcendent, this talk might deceive those ancient fools, but nobody believes such things now."
Fernando ignored him.
"The further down you go, the weaker the Transcendent energies become, and at the bottom was an ordinary world with nearly no Transcendent energies."
"But later, the breakdown of rules utterly crushed our world. The main body of the Tower of the World was preserved, along with several high-energy-level Transcendent Worlds."
"But the biggest problem is the world's integrity has been destroyed, with no internal circulation, the world's energy level plunged, making our advancement extremely difficult."
"We know all that, but what does it have to do with what you're doing?" Abuyi sneered.
"You've got it right; everything I'm doing is for our world."
Fernando's statement was shocking.
"Because I want to restore our world!"
"Heh..." Abuyi scoffed.
"You think the world is like a house, just fix it easily?"
"Why not?" Fernando retorted.
"Repairing a house requires lumber, bricks, tiles, and various tools, but to me, fixing a world seems much simpler."
"At least much fewer materials are needed." Fernando chuckled lightly.
Abuyi failed to notice that as Fernando spoke, the situation in the room was no longer as tense.
The world as a house, that metaphor...
Roger was secretly alarmed.
If what Fernando said was true, then what he was doing now didn't seem much different from what he himself was doing.
Just a world with a higher energy level.
"Since the world was destroyed by broken rules, if we fill in the rules and turn chaos back into order, our world can be restored." Fernando continued.
"That's impossible."
Leon crossed his arms, his face now void of that previous careless disdain, as he spoke, his eyes glanced at another person sitting beside him.
"Igor, on this issue, you should have the most authority."
"Don't look at me, I'm just an insignificant Druid, playing some minor tricks, mostly still within one set of rules."
"However... even though it sounds crazy to implement and almost impossible to achieve, this idea, at least theoretically, is correct."
The young man known as Igor, with gray-white hair, though ordinary in appearance, possessed an extraordinary aura, like a blend of diverse aspects yet uniquely distinctive.
Every look seemed vastly different.
His clear gaze had green light specks emerging on his skin.
"After all, setting aside minor details, just sorting out the main rules would make one despair." He added lastly.
Upon hearing him, everyone's gaze fell upon Fernando.
"Ordinary methods certainly won't work, but if we change our approach...like using Shadow's Power!"
"That's a peculiar Energy existing widely in various worlds; despite the world shattering and most of the Energy vanishing, the nature of this power hasn't changed."
"Though called Shadow's Power, it hides many subtle attributes, and through countless years of development, shadow has become indistinguishable from our world."
"If we reverse our thinking and let all Shadow's Power converge and merge into one, then wouldn't the worlds linked by Shadow's Power fuse together?"
Fernando revealed his entire plan.
"Remember the information we found from the previous era; even if the initial rules aren't perfect, with continuous merging, our world will grow alongside."
"Soon, perfected rules will help us break through existing stages, we perhaps won't need to traverse dangerous inter-world journeys anymore. Just like many Transcendents in high-energy worlds who evolve within their own world."
As his words fell, the room plunged into prolonged silence, faces complex, seemingly weighing the feasibility of the plan.
Eyes silently exchanged looks, forming a slow consensus.
Yet of all present, only Abuyi's face was unsightly.
"Don't believe his nonsense!"
"A seemingly workable yet hopeless-to-implement Transcendent ritual, haven't you seen enough?"
"All excuses!"
"Calm down, don't forget our primary goal; miss this chance today and Atlas will be the fate for every one of your races!"
Abuyi spoke coldly, and indeed his words had some effect, many calmed down.
At that moment, from the seats around the periphery, a calm voice rose.
"If... I mean if, the plan succeeds, what would our current world become?"
Roger spoke up.
