Demon Hunter and His Cabin

Chapter 791 Connected

"Father..."

A voice came from the doorway.

Hearing the voice, the old man lifted his head, his cloudy eyes looking at the figure standing at the door.

"Alicia, has everyone arrived?"

The room was pitch dark, even though light was streaming in from outside, it seemed as if the door created a boundary, forming two separate spaces, and the light couldn't penetrate inside.

"Emissaries from almost all regions have been sent, even those stubborn Ice Bears have sent representatives to this gathering."

"There's something I need to remind you of, we've received news that during this meeting, Abuyi might make some demands. It's said that he has become a Ring Bearer and is working hard to win over forces that have pledged allegiance to us."

"We need to make preparations in advance!"

The voice was filled with killing intent, but it was a long time before a light murmur was heard from the room.

"So it's Abuyi. As I expected, he's moving faster than anyone else."

"Father, you can't imagine, as his power has grown, and with you absent for so long, Abuyi has become increasingly reckless, violating the rules you set many times!"

"For such a person, we..."

"This is normal." The old man lowered his head, "With the growth of power naturally comes the expansion of ambition. He's been by my side for too long and naturally knows some things that others don't."

"What he is interested in is nothing more than this mountain, this tower. He has always suspected that it holds the core secret of the entire world, containing the key to a higher level!"

"Despicable traitor!" Alicia was filled with indignation, "His achievements today are all because of you, even for a long time, he seemed more like your heir than I." Alicia's tone carried an inexplicable emotion.

"Hehe." The old man chuckled, then waved his hand, "Don't bother with him. I will deal with him personally later."

"Go and entertain the guests, don't lose our grace, I still need to prepare."

"Are you going to lead this gathering yourself today?"

Alicia looked surprised, surrounded by a group of former supporters. Though her own power was slightly lacking, the sway she held was enough to maintain the current situation.

But if the man before her was willing to appear, the scales of victory would surely tip entirely to their side.

"It's time to teach him some lessons."

"Heh, my appearance is not for him, Abuyi doesn't have that privilege."

Alicia looked puzzled, but no more sound came from the room, and the darkness thickened, seemingly wanting to engulf the light outside.

Alicia stepped back half a step, even knowing that the man seated in the room was her father, she didn't have the courage to lift her head and ask.

"I will do my best to maintain the situation."

Bowing deeply, Alicia closed the door and left.

After a while, the darkness swirling in the room coalesced like a liquid, and the next moment the light reappeared.

An old man, wrapped in a black robe, appeared at the center of the room.

The wide robe covered his entire figure, and in front of him, a head-sized, black hole-like orb was forming.

"Honorable envoy, I hope your arrival can solve my difficulties, in return, I will faithfully execute your plan!"

"From now on, I shall be a member of the Dragon Court!"

The voice remained deep, but now carried a hint of respect.

"Fernando, you have done well. With your strength and the energy level of your world, originally you wouldn't be able to join the Dragon Court. But your sincerity has moved me; for many years you have been searching relentlessly for the right path, and this is commendable."

"Therefore, I will help you complete the remaining matters, in the name of the Dragon Envoy!"

"Awaiting your arrival, my lord!!"

Fernando slowly bowed his body, and soon the black orb dispersed, and darkness filled the room once more.

"Strange, I seem to have felt the power of shadows, hehe, that must be an illusion."

"After all, I have longed for far too long!"

...

Swish!

Inside the mountain, there was an upward passage, the bodies of three people floated in mid-air, moving at an extremely fast pace through buildings towards the summit.

At this moment, in a space above their heads, a flash of green light appeared, and a graceful woman materialized out of thin air.

This woman had fair skin, an exquisite figure, and wore a robe woven from some unknown plant.

But Roger's gaze swept over her, all his attention drawn to a vast expanse of white.

It seemed as if there was a mysterious magic power beneath her skin, making one unable to resist observing more closely, perhaps even... investigating further.

The woman had a pair of yellow eyes, she looked down at Roger and the two others briefly, without any intention of conversing, and rapidly flew upwards.

"Stay away from her."

This time Tersko's voice rang directly in Roger's mind.

Even if they didn't mainly practice bodily cultivation, once reaching the Fifth Tier, their sensory acuity was incredibly sharp, and over a distance even ten or twenty times larger, they could easily pick up on things.

So after arriving here, they had to adopt another way of communication.

"Is she strong?" Roger controlled himself, tearing his eyes away from the woman's departing figure.

"The last time I saw her, she had just completed the Tri-Element Structure. Her race is different from ours and she probably has a lot of room for growth; maybe the next time we meet, she will have ascended to the Four Elements."

"Not bad." Roger nodded.
