Demon Lord's Reincarnation

"That's how my first battle with Largen the Ancient One who governs over War ended. It was rather exciting we did not need to use the exaggerated techniques of those other Gods. We fought using mostly martial skills."

"Yeah, I could see that you loved that battle, it's getting me excited. I kinda want to fight right now." Edge Regius suddenly spoke.

"Even I want to have a battle, because of that battle." Rei Kuraki the one who was the most calm among the reincarnations spoke in excitement.

"Yeah let's have a battle, but this time let's do it with our bare bodies!" Hanayame Ryuji chimed in while showing his bare body.

"You noisy guys, I do understand that you want to fight, but isn't it more interesting to learn more about things from the distant past? I already knew some of the information shown, but there was a lot of new information as well. With this, I can now understand that there were more sources of energy than I initially hypothesized...

But because of that, I think I'm starting to see clearer through the fog. If the ORIGIN was created from the void does that mean there's a possibility another being could come from the void, also is the void truly the end? So much new knowledge, so much to decipher, and so much to create. That's it! I can probably-" Cry Loder started mumbling to himself deep in his own world.

"Now look at what you guys did, now that guy Cry will keep on won't shut up for a few decades again. You guys might not care but I train near his area and when he gets like this, it gets really messy and loud." Leonard Tranor complained. "Well, it's not like I don't agree with you guys since I too want to fight."

"Fine, since you guys want to fight who am I to stop you? I already guessed that battle would stimulate you. So we're going to have a one-month break for the battle. Since I'm feeling itchy as well, who wants to take me on."

The very second the original incarnation said those words, almost all the reincarnations came charging at him. Seeing the enthusiasm of his reincarnations the original incarnation nodded his head in approval.

In this situation, the original incarnation used the second form of the origin style swordsmanship [Milky Way]. The reincarnations all recognized the stance he took so many of them were able to avoid the strike, but even though they knew what was coming some of them weren't fast enough.

"Hahaha as expected of my reincarnations. I was planning to wipe out at least half of you, but that's not possible since you guys already saw this technique. Now I think I might actually get to warm up this time."

While the fighting had become even more intense, Ren who did not join the battle watched the techniques of his past incarnations. Each one of them had their own specialty in battle, and despite the difference in power, their skills were all in a realm only they could understand.

It was already clear before but watching all of them it became even clearer to him. Everything about his past life claiming to be the strongest demon lord and whatnot was just laughable now. The only reason he was the strongest back then was because the truly strong weren't there. Ren could not help but chuckle.

'Well, the past is the past, I just need to focus on the now. Also, he did say that every reincarnation was the strongest being of that era. Even on the decline a reincarnation of the Strongest Mortal Soul should be above most people.'

While Ren was deep in thought he started walking around and noticed that there were quite a few reincarnations that weren't joining the battle. It was rare but there were some reincarnations that could control their obsession over battle, but there are some who replaced that obsession with something else.

Ren who was looking at those who weren't joining the fight noticed someone he had never seen before. This reincarnation had varying forms of guns as his weapon.

Due to the knowledge of other reincarnations, Ren knew a thing or two about guns, and that most reincarnations don't use them since it was hard to make a gun powerful even if you infuse it with mana and compared to arrows released by them a bullet was slow.

"Hey, can I have a moment of your time?" Ren approached the reincarnation with many guns.

The man had a heavy gaze and he was scowling while looking at Ren.

"You're the current incarnation, Ren, what do you want?"

"First how about telling me your name?"

"Jason Hernandez."

"So Jason I was wondering why you use guns as your weapon of choice."

Joson looked at Ren and sighed.

"Every one of you asked the same thing. I came from a world where there was very little mana, and magic was considered a fantasy. Unlike you guys who fought against monsters the size of skyscrapers, I mostly fought against humans. I did fight monsters now and then but not as much as I fought humans."

"That still, doesn't answer my question."

"You don't get it?... I guess you did come from a world that had no guns, so you might not understand, but among all the weapons I believe guns are the most effective against humans."

"How so?"

"In my world when a person sees a sword they think they could somehow run away or even beat the person who has a sword, it's the same for any melee weapon. When a person from my world sees a bow and arrow aimed at them they will feel a little scared but they still have hope that the arrows won't hit. Now if they saw a gun a person from my world would either run away screaming or beg for mercy.

When they hear the loud sound of a gunshot it makes them instinctively flinch, there's a kind of fear they get just from hearing the sound of a gunshot. So to me who has killed a lot of humans the gun really is the best weapon."

"I see... That's interesting, thank you for answering my questions."

"I get asked that question a lot so it doesn't bother me anymore."

After saying a few more things Ren left and started talking to the other reincarnations who didn't join the battle. Many of them had interesting stories to tell, and Ren learned a lot of new things from them. Still, the one who made the biggest impression on Ren amongst these reincarnations who were just watching was Jason.

It made Ren think that the weapon one uses has more to offer than he initially thought.

'Now I'm getting quite interested in guns. I wonder if it's possible to create a gun or a gun-like weapon powerful enough to fight against the gods.'

Ren who now has many new ideas for a weapon had a happy smile on his face, it was a smile that could make a grown man shiver in fear.

'First I need to find someone who knows how to make guns.'
