Hello everyone and welcome BACK! For those of you who are watching this video without watching the ones that came before in the series… Well, if that's what you're into, but things would make a lot more sense if you watch from the start of the series. As you know but might need some reminding, we're playing the Demesne spinoff Lorian Academy Amour, which is basically a highscool AU dating sim/stealth game.

So, for those just tuning in and have for some reason decided to stick with this episode, we've finished the Mikon and Riz routes, and now we're on another New Game Plus to challenge ourselves, so we're aiming to get on the Karina route. Now, unlike the other two routes, this is a purely platonic storyline since Karina is a cute little girl… unless you downloaded the patch from the developer's website that adds back in all the stuff that was taken out for the Steam version, where… yeah, it's definitely not platonic, because goddesses dammit Amatsushima.

Now we're playing the unpatched version, although purists will tell you that the patch helps make the story more coherent, since it explains why Lori is cockblocking you so violently in this route and keeps sinking you into the ground… not that I would know personally, I just read it on the internet. Playing this route is also supposedly how you unlock the Shana route, but I don't think we've gotten that far yet. So far she's still just a background NPC who runs away if you get too close or try to look at her in photo mode.

The way to get points with Karina is to either play the seeling mini-game or to hang out and help the dungeon farming club. Both are equally good, so just go with whichever rare drop you're going for. If you're trying to get a heavy stone dragon scale, go with fishing; if you're trying to unlock the optional Floral Abomination Miniboss for its boss drop, go with dungeon farming. New game plus doesn't affect this progression, since route progression is separate from the club level or the mini-game unlocks. I'm going with the dungeon farming club because I haven't managed to get the miniboss yet.

All right, so we've unlocked Karina's first event, so let's sit back and enjoy the cutscene.

[Cutscene where Karina talks about how the town once had a bad harvest because of a drought, and she saw her parents going hungry to be able to feed her and her sibling. It was so bad her best friend lost her parents, so Karina is attending the school so she can learn the best way to grow food that can keep people fed even if there was another drought]

[Your Bond with Karina has gotten stronger!]

Beautiful scene. Now, since we've used up all our activity points, we can finish up for the day, but first let's take a little detour. A lot of you in the comments have been telling me there's a secret hidden in this area, so let's look around…

[Runs around the dungeon farm area, finds a hole behind a crate.]

Aha! This must be it.

[Makes character go prone and start crawling into the hole]

Ugh, I can't believe I missed this for so many playthroughs.

["Heigh-ho! Heave-ho!"]

Huh? I can hear something…

[Tunnel opens out into a new area. At first glance, it looks like a perfectly normal farm. A character is there, using a hoe to till the ground]

Wait… that voice.

[Walks over to the character and speaks to them.]

["Marla, Marla— wait, you're not Marla. Hey, stranger! I'm Hatarine, and this is my secret farm! Nice to meet you!"]

Oh, I recognize her! She's from that other game, right? Amour something? Ah, that's right, Arcane Amour. I keep meaning to finally play that, it's on my library and everything, but everyone seems to like the Demesne games more.

["Ooh, are you streaming? Hey chat! What's up, my homies!"]

Hah, that's cute. That's a pretty nice choco egg. Let's see what other lines she has.

["So, what route are you on? I might have some tips for you. That's what I did in my game, after all."]
