Chapter 392
Mark stored the items that he received from the bosses and he only kept the purple and blue ones on the first floor of his dungeon. His collection of unidentified blue and purple items was growing. He decided that later he would find some time to identify the items. Sadly, there was still no sign of mythical orange items but he wasn’t discouraged since he would be able to farm the bosses again in two days.
When he returned to the RV, everyone was outside and there was another hour before lunch so Mark decided to check out the theater section of the circus. There he saw that two other theater slash tents were already constructed and up and running. The first tent was showing Star Wars: Episode IV, the second tent was showing Episode V and the third tent was Episode VI. There was an announcement though that in two days, the grand opening for Episode I to Three would be shown next, and Mark could feel the excitement of the customers in the air.
The huge announcement board was at the entrance of the now-called “Theater Section” of the circus and beside the board was a huge television that Hamil borrowed from Mark and it was showing the trailers for Episode I to Episode III. The announcement area also contained a newly constructed pedestal that housed the prices that customers would receive if they won the costume contest in the upcoming Star Wars convention and the date of the convention was listed on the board.
There was a festive air in the circus that reminded Mark of the excitement he and his best friend Sam experienced during the first time they attended a comic convention and more than likely it was because the place was currently filled with pimply face teenagers with their blood boiling with anticipation.
Mark wondered why that was so. The people here were living in a world with magic and adventure could be had just by them stepping outside the city. Heck, if the young people here wanted to get strong they could experience a much wilder and blood-boiling adventure by diving into the dungeons that were scattered all over the world.
Was it because the movies were something new? Or was it because it opened a much broader possibility of a much exciting adventure which was the universe? Mark didn’t know but for now, he was a bit happy about all the anticipation that was in the air.
In the announcement board, it said that after the grand showing of Star Wars: Episodes I to III, the movies would be shown on alternate days so basically, I to III would be shown on the same day, and the day after would be IV to VI.
Mark wondered when Hamil would release Episode VII to IX. He hadn’t even mentioned yet the existence of the Star Wars television shows and animated series. Suddenly he thought of the fact that his name was Mark and the circus leader’s name was Hamil which in combination would be the name of the leading actor of the original Star Wars trilogy. To be honest about it, he found it awesome.
Mark then thought about when the Star Wars movies came out on Earth. The length of time that fans waited for the movies to be shown was decades so the enthusiasm was reduced by virtue of time. They could avoid that in this world since they had all the source material.
He even knew how to set up the MMORPG Star Wars The Old Republic since Sam’s expert computer hackers they hired created the source program and video guide on how to set up a private server to host the game. Mark could set up an internet café tent with a limited number of computers and they could charge by the hour.
One of Mark’s favorite web novels that he had read was called Black Tech Internet Café wherein the MC received a system that required him to create an internet café. Mark knew the internet café he could set up would not be as popular since it would not be the same as that novel. In that novel, the players’ actual strength would increase depending on the level of the characters they were playing and he didn’t have that system. Not only that, the players in that novel could enter the various games virtually so they could experience the games as if they entered the games’ worlds personally.
The only thing his internet café could provide, if he set up one, was entertainment and more than likely, it would only be able to gather the very rich young men and women. Of course, if Mark did set up an internet café, he wouldn’t charge the customers with gold coins but mana stones since if he worked, he would need to be paid by something valuable, not gold coins that he could replicate anytime he wanted.
He decided to go ahead with setting it up since it was exciting and he missed playing an MMORPG and if the café failed or ran temporarily, so be it. Mark then thought of how many computers he should set up. The best thing that he could do was to talk to Hamil first.
Mark decided to go back to his RV and set up a Desktop PC first and would install Knights of the Old Republic Single Player game so Hamil would know what he was talking about.
When he arrived back in the RV, the children together with Lisa were waiting for him. Apparently, Milena and the others were too busy to leave the store so she told Lisa to inform Mark that for the next few days, he should be the one providing food for everyone and Mark just smiled wryly.
After lunch, Mark gave Lisa some bentos that she could bring to Milena, Nedertu, and the others for their lunch and the twins assisted her in carrying the bentos. Liriel also wanted to follow her brothers in delivering the food.
Once all of them left, Mark began setting up the desktop PC that he would use to demonstrate the computer game to Hamil and it actually didn’t take him long since he did have a full setup desktop in his inventory and he was even proud to mention that the desktop PC in his inventory was one of those that could only be afforded by the very rich. He did spend a considerable amount of money to set it up since he wanted to have the best of the best.
The only game that he installed on the Desktop Personal Computer was KOTOR and some video clips of the game Star Wars The Old Republic so he could better explain it to Hamil.
When everything was set up, he heard knocks on his door and when Mark checked it out, It was Hamil together with the elven sisters, Lorendo, and Dozon so he invited them in.
“We’re here to inform you of what was happening in the portal and the city of Narcone,” Hamil said.
Everyone noticed the desktop computer that was set up conspicuously in the middle of the living room but everyone ignored it first so they could continue their report to Mark.
“We haven’t encountered any issues in Narcone. As a matter of fact, the warp gate was well received by a lot of the citizens of the city since they missed watching the Star Wars films. The council was actually very surprised since they were also earning a lot because the dungeons suddenly encountered an onslaught of divers and the majority of those divers had the intention of earning mana stones so they could spend it traveling to our circus to watch the films especially when they heard that the next set of the movies in the franchise would be shown,” Hamil said.
