Chapter 314
Aaron has no idea what the cults or the alliance are up to, and he doesn't care much about it. He was quite busy with matters of his own.
In the morning, he would go out of the city, searching the surrounding areas, hoping to find a dungeon or two. By noon, he would return to the city to take on the patrol duty.
It has been a few days, but he didn't find any dungeons.
"Most of what appeared nearby should have been claimed by someone. I was just lucky that the Twin Dungeons were clocked, or maybe they appeared too recently that no one paid much attention to find them. Finding another one? That's not an easy thing to do. Maybe if I leave the local area and search further, there is a chance", Aaron thought to himself.
It has been months since people knew that the world was going through a phase of upgrade. When it would end, no one knows. Whether it has ended already, no one has any idea.
Dungeons and many resource points pop up naturally, as mana there saturates beyond a point. That was normal. So, deciding based on the appearance of new dungeons was not the right way to know, and no one knows the right way.
Even after the upgrade phase was over, dungeons would pop up, but most would be limited dungeons. Once cleared, they would disappear or they would disappear after a specific time had passed. Whether the dungeon was cleared or not, it won't matter.
These dungeons can't be transported, as they won't give a chance to bind with the Dungeon cores. Of course, they are still in demand, as the loot dropped or EXP gained from these dungeons would be 10-50 times more than usual.
For One-time clearance dungeons, many would fight to enter these dungeons and clear them before others could enter. No matter how late you enter, as long as you clear the dungeon before others, the reward of 10-50 times normal would be yours.
When one hunts a monster in a dungeon, the dropped loot is final, but in one-time or time-limited dungeons, as soon as they are cleared, the loot is increased to 10-50 times what they have earned before clearing out the Boss.
Of course, in a one-time dungeon, only one would be getting that improved reward, while others would only have what they gained till then. Even if they were at the point of clearing the boss, once a boss was cleared, it wouldn't matter.
Time-limited dungeons work similarly, but anyone who clears the dungeon before the time expires gets a multiplied reward at the end of every clearance. One can enter as many times as they want before the dungeon disappears.
Once a time-limited dungeon was found, the faction that found it would send multiple teams into the dungeon with potions that can restore stamina, mana and everything that they need to clear the dungeon as many times as possible, before it disappears from the world.
Unlike how it was for one-time dungeons, many wouldn't care if others find out about the time-limited dungeons, as no matter who completes it first, as long as the timer doesn't run out, the dungeon will stay there.
Of course, there was no way one would know if it was a timer dungeon or a one-time dungeon, until the first run was completed or if it disappears before one is completed. So, if a dungeon was found, until the first clearance was completed, the one who found it would keep it quiet.
---
Aaron was looking for these types of dungeons, as they are the most common that appear. If all dungeons were the types that can stay for a long time and are easily transportable, then the world would have been overflowing with resources, and people would have had an easier time improving their ranks as well.
If he could find one such dungeon, even if it were just for one clearance, he could gain an experience like never before. If he gets the minimum multiplication of 10 times, in addition to his normal talent, that would be huge.
He can level up as if he were levelling from level 10 to level 11 or something like that.
Think how much he can gain if the dungeon is a time-limited one, which has a long time before it disappears. He can easily level up faster than ever before.
Even if the dungeon does not give EXP, but gives out loot, then the amount of resources that he can get from the dungeon would be massive.
He was still Rank-5. There are four more ranks to reach before he can reach the top of this world, maybe even more.
Once he believed that Rank-9 is the highest, but after understanding that there are always things hidden in this world, and the fact that only five were considered Human Gods, Aaron believes that there might be another rank above Rank-9.
If not, then there should be more than enough Human Gods. There were many Rank-9 professionals in the world. So, if Human God was just a title for the peak of Rank-9, one way or another, they could have reached such a stage, but there were none, at least in the eyes of the public.
It means that until he reaches such a rank, he would need protection from higher-ranking beings, who can squash him easily. His talent may be something that gave him an edge by eliminating the need for some resources, saving him a lot of credits, but many have credits in their accounts, which are not easy to count.
They would have made use of those credits to gain the benefits that Aaron gained from his talent. Of course, at lower ranks, that might not be many, maybe even zero, but at higher ranks, there should be quite a number.
So, his higher attributes may not matter much. Of course, when they reach their rank, that would be different, but now at Rank-5, if he faces a Rank-7 or maybe even Rank-9, they can suash him easily.
So, protection gear is important.
Also, his parents don't even have the same number of attributes as he does, nor do they have experience in combat. To protect them, he would need a lot of resources, which means he had to dive into Loot Dungeons, quite a lot.
Even if that was the case, he didn't feel bad about that. They are his parents. So doing such a small thing didn't feel bad, but he couldn't find any dungeons. The twin dungeons were the only find in all the weeks he was outside looking for dungeons.
