Chapter 62: Invasion (2)
*Clank*
*Creack*
"Roar!"
The sound of monsters coming through the door woke everyone up, and they looked in front of them.
*Tap*
*Tak*
*Tap*
Many monsters, skeletons, humanoids, and demonized humans were coming through it.
"Shit, there are too many.(Commander)
He looked at his soldiers; everyone was ready to die with honor.
"Everyone, it's been an honor to be..." (Commander)
When he was going to make his final speech, something flew past them.
*Fwip*
*Tang* *Tang* *Tang* *Tang*
Four paper talismans stock themselves into the floor, walls, and the space between the monsters and the soldiers.
*Pin* *Pin* *Pin*
One by one, the horde of monsters couldn't move any further, as if an invisible barrier were blocking his way.
"Well, now that we have time, could you please explain what is happening?"
A calm voice sounded in the back, forcing the commander to once again look behind him.
He saw the intruder without any worry on his face.
"Sir, I think those talismans are part of a barrier, and I also saw that person throw them." (Mage)
(Of course it's a barrier, but why is he helping us?)
"Understood..."(Commander)
He responded to his mage and then focused again on the person. He was seriously wondering if he could trust this person, but...
*Pin*
*Pin*
*Pin*
...with the crisis in front of him and the suspicious person behind him that helped them deal with the Minotaur, it was really a no-brainer what he chose.
"We are currently in the middle of a monster horde, and to make matters worse, a group of demons were mixed in their ranks; thus, this fortress fell, and we are what remains." (Commander)
He perfectly told him the shorter version of the events that happened two days ago.
"I see..."
(Well, this is an interesting situation, to say the least.)
*Pin*
*Pin*
*Pin*
Isaac looked at the horde that was trying with all their might to destroy the barrier as they were speaking, then he looked at the remaining soldiers.
(Indeed, they looked awful, sleep-deprived, starved, and tired. They are at the last leg, huh)
"Is there any backup plan?"
*Sigh*
"It was already used..." (Commander)
He looked at the room behind me.
(Ah, I see, so that room was really an escape room, but then...)
"Unfortunately we..."(Commander)
He looked at his soldiers.
"...were not part of that plan(Commander)
His tone of voice sounded cold and angry at the end of his sentence.
(Internal strife, well, that's great, hmm. What should I do?)
{Save them, leave them, or fight with them?}
After 15 seconds of silence, Isaac spoke to the commander.
"I can teleport all of you to the destination of that teleporter."
Isaac pointed at the room behind him.
"What!?"(Soldier)
"Impossible!"(Mage)
"The link was broken; there's no way that you can do what you claim!" (Mage)
Immediately, the mages in the group denied his claim, but the commander just looked into his eyes.
There was no hesitation in those eyes; it was crystal clear, like he was saying that it was normal for him to say what he said.
"So, you don't want to go?"
He asked them.
"That's..."(Mage)
They knew it was impossible; once the link is broken, the teleporter will only teleport you randomly, and the distance is also random, so no one will risk going through it.
"Do you have a way?" (Commander)
The commander finally spoke, still with doubt in his mind but with a glimmer of hope in his eyes.
"Heh, yes, I have a way."
*******************************
In a fortress located at the peak of a mountain, orders were quickly given.
"Hurry up and put that barrier up! The horde will be here at any moment!"(Commander)
"Yes sir!" (Mage)
"Sir, the ballistas are ready, sir!" (Soldier)
"Good! Now gather your squad and station yourself at the north tower!"(Commander)
"Yes sir!" (Soldier)
The soldier ran the way he came.
(Shit, this is all his fault!. Why the f***k we didn't get the intelligence of this?)
As the commander was giving orders and checking that the fortress was up to standard to receive their "guests," an old mage ran directly at him. Surprise and joy were in his eyes.
"Commander, they arrived!" (Mage Cron)
"Old Cron, what is it? Who arrived? Is the horde already here!?" (Commander)
The commander became alert.
"No, no, the survivors of Fortress Harn!" (Mage Cron)
"Say what now?" (Commander)
He was taken aback by what he told him.
"Commander Braza is alive!" (Mage Cron)
"What!"(Commander)

In a teleportation room exactly the same as Fort Harn, 51 individuals suddenly appeared.
"Ugh, I hate teleporters..."(Commander Braza)
He was gathering his bearings when suddenly the only door in the room abruptly opened.
"Come here, you freaking monsters! I will kill all of you!" (Mage Cron)
An old mage came blasting magic and swearing words at them.
"You filthy pieces of...eh?, Commander Braza!?" (Mage Cron)
When the old mage finally saw the intruders, he finally recognized the man in front of him.
"As lively as always, Cron" (Commander Braza)
"Oh, by the Goddess!, I need to tell Commander Thurn!" (Mage Cron)
With the same energy, the old mage left.
"Sir, we really..." (Mage)
"Yes, we are in the mountain fortress Gorn" (Commander Braza).
"Unbelievable..."(Soldier)
Everyone could not believe what happened.
******************
After sending the commander and his soldiers to their destination, with the help of a little bit of runic magic, Isaac walked out of the teleportation room.
*Pin*
*Crack*
*Pin*
*Crack*
"Oh, the barrier is actually breaking..."
Isaac saw a lot of monsters of all kinds attacking the barrier with all kinds of attacks.
"Hmm, well, let's do this..."
He pulled out a rune with the word holy on it and instantly crushed it in his hand.
[Holy Element element buff has been granted.]
"And now... spin the wheel!"
[Ting...ting...ting...]
[Earth Element has been buff by 200%]
"Oh, good then... [Boost] + [Rock Golem]"
Isaac slammed his staff into the floor.
*Rumble*
*Rumble*
*Rumble*
The whole fortress began to shake, and little by little, pieces of the fortress were clumping together. Even the floor on which Isaac was standing began to move.
(I will not get crushed, right?)
His concerns were unnecessary; the floor moved to the top of the golem.
Now a 120-foot-tall golem made out of blocks of rocks was standing in the middle of a moving horde with a tiny person on top of its head.
"ROAR!"
The golems attract the attention of many monsters, but as for the monsters inside the fortress, well, let's just say none of them survived.
"Let's go golem!"
"Roar!"
The golem, following his commands, slammed its arms at the ground.
*BOOM*
*CRASH*
The attack made two deep holes in the ground, and on the holes were what remained of the monsters—a pretty grotesque view.
(I need to get used to this. After all, the battle has just begun...)
