Zack stood in the narrow alley, staring at the weapons in his hands. A long black sword pulsed with energy, and two silver pistols gleamed with an elegant design, as if they had come straight out of a video game. He knew these names well: Devil Sword Dante and Ebony & Ivory. He had played the Devil May Cry series hundreds of times and had always dreamed of wielding these weapons. But now, they were in his hands—cold, heavy, and terrifyingly real.

He swung the sword lightly, and it sliced through the air with a sharp, musical sound. The movement was smooth and fast, as if it were part of his body. He had never felt such agility and strength before. "This sword... it's alive!" he murmured in awe, his eyes gleaming with admiration. A tremendous energy surged through his body, as if the sword was granting him limitless power.

He looked at the pistols in his hands. Their design was sleek, engraved with stunning artistic patterns. He gripped one and felt an immediate comfort, as if they had been made specifically for him. He pulled the trigger experimentally, and a silver bullet shot out like lightning, piercing the opposite wall and leaving a large hole with charred edges. His eyes widened in shock. "This power... it's unnatural."

Then he remembered the translucent screen that had appeared before him earlier:

"System installed. Welcome to the world of development."

He sat on the ground, trying to process what was happening. "A system? Like in RPG games?" The idea was insane, but he had no other explanation. He had been swallowed by a mysterious vortex, woken up in a ruined world, and now had weapons from a video game? It made no sense at all.

"Alright... if this is a system, there must be a status menu." He took a deep breath and cautiously said, "Menu?"

Nothing happened. He frowned slightly, then tried again, "Status?"

Suddenly, a glowing blue window appeared in front of him:

Zack stared at the window in disbelief. "Is... is this real? Do I actually have a status panel?" The numbers and stats all seemed incredibly real. He didn't know how or why, but he couldn't deny the excitement rushing through him.

"If I'm in a game, I should probably test these weapons." He stood up, tightening his grip on the sword. It was light yet strangely durable. He felt power coursing through him, as if the sword was strengthening his muscles.

Zack cautiously stepped out of the alley, armed with his sword and pistols. He didn't know exactly where he was, but something felt oddly familiar. The dark streets, the old buildings, the constant feeling of danger lurking around every corner. "Is... is this Gotham?"

He had watched Batman movies countless times, and he couldn't mistake the eerie atmosphere. But before he could think further, he heard voices coming from a nearby alley.

"Drop everything, or I'll end your life right here!"

Zack moved carefully and peeked around the corner. Three armed men were surrounding a man in an elegant suit. They looked like a gang of common criminals—but they were carrying real guns.

His heart pounded. "This isn't a game... these are real thugs with real weapons." But he also felt something else. Excitement.

He wasn't the type to seek trouble, but he couldn't deny the thrill building inside him. "I have Devil Sword Dante and Ebony & Ivory... why not test them out?"

With light steps, he approached them. He raised his pistols and aimed at the thugs. "Hey, guys! Don't you think this is a bit inappropriate?"

They turned to him in surprise, then burst into laughter. "And who's this clown? Did you get lost, kid?"

Zack smirked. "Actually, I was looking for some fun... and thanks for volunteering."

Before they could react, he pulled the trigger.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Three rapid shots, each hitting a hand holding a gun. The weapons clattered to the ground as the thugs screamed in pain. They stared at Zack in shock and horror. "How... how did you do that?!"

Zack stepped forward confidently, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "You were brave a minute ago—what happened now?"

One of them lunged at him with a knife, but Zack moved effortlessly, his enhanced speed from Devil Sword Dante kicking in. He dodged the strike and retaliated with a swift kick, sending the thug flying before he collapsed unconscious.

The remaining two trembled in fear. They tried to run, but Zack was faster. He dashed toward them, knocking them out with a precise strike of his sword—careful not to deal fatal damage.

Standing among the unconscious bodies, Zack took a deep breath. He felt power surging through him. He had never felt this kind of exhilaration before.

Looking down at the weapons in his hands, he grinned. "Oh, this is going to be fun."

Then he heard footsteps behind him. He slowly turned around and saw the well-dressed man staring at him in shock. "Who... who are you?"

Zack thought for a moment, then smiled and said, "Just a lost student… who ended up in an adventure."

The man remained stunned, but before he could ask more, the sound of police sirens grew closer. "You need to run!" the man urged, pointing toward another alley.

Zack smiled and holstered his pistols, which magically reappeared on his waist. "Thanks for the advice."

Then he sprinted away, taking full advantage of his newfound speed, disappearing into the shadows. As he ran, he couldn't stop grinning.

"Alright, looks like this adventure is going to be way more exciting than I expected."
