Chapter 409: The End of Science
In a remote corner of the realm of the gods lay the planet Barmulodi.
Under the boundless starry sky, the slowly rotating planet suddenly split open, revealing a path of clouds.
Heavenly Father and his two sons emerged from the cloud path. Their towering figures stood just beyond the starry expanse.
"Hmm…"
Heavenly Father's face was calm. He let out a low hum as he glanced sideways at the massive planet Barmulodi.
This vast planet, forged from the remnants of countless multiverses, original universes, and primal realities, rotated beneath the starry canopy, presenting a majestic and awe-inspiring scene. Even in the god realm's celestial sphere, it stood out as remarkable.
The last being capable of destroying the multiverse had been Yuga Khan, the terrifying creator of Apokolips. But Barmulodi was even more fearsome than Yuga Khan. It had connected and destroyed both the original universe and the primal one, giving birth to this celestial body ahead of its time.
Heavenly Father felt this truth in his heart, sighed with the weight of cosmic fate, and left silently without another word. Behind him, his two sons followed with indignant expressions, their faces darkened by frustration.
Barmulodi, in the temple.
A glowing orb, exuding a mysterious will, floated before Bardi.
This was the gift from Heavenly Father—the ultimate core technology of the Mother Box, and Trigon. As for Trigon, Bardi had already sealed him at the planet's core, using him as an unending source of energy.
The orb of light seemed sentient, revealing the philosophy and civilization of countless intelligent lifeforms. It possessed the power to traverse time, open space, restore order to chaos, and establish a godly kingdom.
This was the ultimate core technology of the Mother Box.
When science reaches its pinnacle, it becomes philosophy, theology, and more.
The Mother Box's core ultimate technology was the end of science. It had transcended into theology—a divine theology usable only by gods.
It was a particle. It had mass. It was a wave, a form of motion. It was neither matter nor void. It was both time and space. It was everything within the infinite and, at the same time, it was nothing.
All of it was spiritual existence.
Bardi's expression was contemplative. His mind passed through the information within the Mother Box's core multiple times, comprehending its secrets.
"Hera."
Bardi called softly.
Hera, clad in a close-fitting gown, materialized from particles and appeared before Bardi. She bowed slightly.
"I am here."
Hera's voice was soft.
"Thank you."
A flicker of warmth passed through Bardi's eyes. He had examined the Mother Box's core technology and used his Only God power to establish his own unique Mother Box power. All that remained was fine-tuning—full control over the Mother Box. With it, he could hide the Star of Barmulodi, just like Apokolips, shielding it from the gods' detection.
Currently, the Star of Barmulodi was too weak. Bardi alone stood in defense, guarding its existence.
"You will control the Mother Box."
"Yes, my lord. With me here, the Star of Barmulodi will endure."
Hera's beautiful face showed both a smile and determination.
She knew that Bardi constantly worried about the state of Barmulodi. On this planet, only Bardi possessed combat capability as an Only God. It was far too fragile. Even the Olympian pantheon could obliterate it. If Bardi were absent, the planet would be doomed in an instant.
In the next moment, under Bardi's guidance, the core technology of the Mother Box fused with the entire planet and with Hera's will.
The ultimate source of science—its endpoint—allowed Hera to evolve beyond intelligent life, becoming a true living entity. From this moment on, Barmulodi and Hera were one.
Hera slowly transformed into light and shadow, then vanished before Bardi, officially initiating the process to conceal the planet using the Mother Box.
Bardi watched as her light faded, then sat quietly on the throne, lost in thought.
Suddenly, a pair of pale hands reached from behind the throne, gently massaging his temples.
"I'm sorry…"
Raven's pale face was filled with guilt and sorrow.
If she hadn't been captured, Bardi wouldn't have been forced into such a passive position. He wouldn't have had to enter the god realm prematurely. Now, the entire Barmulodi group, aside from Bardi, was powerless. Nothing had been developed yet, leaving Bardi exposed and vulnerable.
Originally, Bardi had planned to remain in the multiverse long enough for his followers to grow strong and follow him. Only then would he step into the realm of gods and rise as a terrifying force.
Now, he had arrived too early. None of it was ready. His power alone could not compare to the Only God system.
Without Bardi present, even Sun Wukong, Thor, and Athena would be enough to annihilate Barmulodi.
The current Barmulodi was that fragile.
Bardi's heart softened. He reached behind, pulled Raven onto his lap. Her mature yet petite figure pressed against him, her curves fitting perfectly.
Bardi closed his eyes and leaned close to her neck, inhaling her scent—a sweet, rich fragrance like chocolate, accumulated from years of indulgence.
"If only you hadn't saved me…"
"It's fine."
Bardi chuckled softly. Of course he knew what she was thinking. If he hadn't saved Raven, he wouldn't have needed to enter the realm of gods so early. He could have grown steadily, becoming a force that terrified even the divine.
But how could he not have saved her?
Raven leaned gently against Bardi's chest. The strength and warmth she felt from him made her eyes moisten.
She always believed Bardi carried too much. Far too much on his shoulders.
He bore everything for her, for all of them.
All the pressure and responsibility were carried by Bardi alone. As his wife, she could not even help him, and that broke her heart.
Raven wanted to speak, but no words came. She could only hold Bardi tighter.
The temple remained silent for a long while as the two embraced gently.
Before long.
After sharing warmth for a while, Raven stood, left Bardi, and made her way alone to the planet's core… to face her father, Trigon.
