Chapter 401: The Gods of the Realm of the Gods
The portal between the Realm of the Gods and the Speed Force Wall.
Though it is called a portal, it resembles a brilliant galaxy spanning a dazzling river, separating the divine realm from the Speed Force Wall.
Anyone seeking to enter the multiverse must first cross this barrier—like the cosmic Ganges—before reaching the Speed Force Wall.
However, entering the Speed Force does not grant direct access to the multiverse. Instead, one becomes ensnared in the infinitely layered temporal cages of the Speed Force, making escape nearly impossible.
The Speed Force Wall represents the Wheel of Time. Even the Only God, possessing supreme power, would be blocked by this wall, becoming lost within the Speed Force for eternity, unable to break free.
Because of this, even though many Sole Gods and Quasi-Sole Gods yearn for the multiverse, few can cross the Speed Force Wall.
Today, the void between the Speed Force Wall and the Realm of the Gods is more vast and radiant than any galactic river system. Innumerable luminous stars float and sink in this galactic void, forming a majestic, bright, and river-like celestial scene.
This celestial river is called Wan Tianyi, also known as the "World Instrument." It also serves to protect the multiverse. It is a region where many Sole Gods and Quasi-Sole Gods may dwell. In the blood domain of higher dimensions, even divine blood flows here like an embryonic membrane, emitting a faint blood-colored light, guarding this space.
At this moment, powerful auras surged, one after another, entering Wan Tianyi.
Thor, the God of Thunder from Asgard, wielded Mjolnir. His pitch-black armor, forged from divine metal, radiated might and valor. His eyes blazed with thunder, surrounded by lightning, and a crimson cape fluttered behind him. Proud and fearless, he stood tall in the starry sky.
"Thor, rein in your arrogance."
Among Wan Tianyi were gods unaccustomed to Thor's brashness and boldness.
One of them was a god from the Mayan Pantheon, Hercules Lak, a deity of Lao Lashan. His face was as chiseled and harsh as stone, expressionless and grim. In the sacred lake's waters, he served as guardian. If he so wished, he could seize any star within Wan Tianyi with his massive arm and crush it into dust.
Thor glared, thunder swirling around him. His crimson cape billowed under the electric storm. Just as he was about to retort, a soft, melodious voice rang out from another corner of the celestial river.
"Hasn't Thor always been this arrogant? Hehe..."
The laughter was like the chime of silver bells.
A woman stood in a far corner, clothed in simple white. Her beauty was indescribable—holy and pure. That space around her shimmered with radiance, like a world unto itself.
It was a light of purity and divinity.
She was Athena of the Olympian gods, goddess of wisdom and war. Elegant yet powerful, determined yet radiant, she stood shining brightly in the starry sky.
Thor's expression darkened when he saw Athena. Despite his usual boldness, there was a flicker of fear in his eyes. Among the Olympian gods, Athena was known for her wisdom, beauty, and martial prowess—making her a formidable figure. Even Thor preferred not to clash with her, though he didn't fear her.
"You want to start a fight here, Thor of Asgard?"
Morrigan, the Celtic goddess of vengeance and battle, stepped forward. She held the enchanted spear known as "The Spear of the King Never Misses the King." Her posture was somber, eyes closed, grief lingering in her aura as she stood in the starry sky.
Speaking of that spear, "The Spear of the King Never Misses the King," Morrigan had a tragic past.
Once defeated by the god of light, Cu Chulainn, she fell in love with him. She enchanted his spear, Gáe Bolg, with a deadly curse—hoping it would protect him. But Cu Chulainn rejected her love. In the end, the curse rebounded. During one battle, an enemy druid reflected the spear's curse, killing Cu Chulainn.
That tragedy remained Morrigan's lifelong sorrow.
"Quiet, all of you. We are here to recruit the new Sole God. There's no need for battle."
"Let the Sole God decide which pantheon to join."
Horus, Egyptian god of war, vengeance, and the sky, stood in the starry sky. With an eagle's head, an Egyptian crown, linen garb, a Was-scepter, and the Ankh of life in hand, he radiated an overwhelming presence.
"Yes, exactly."
"We can't command the Sole God. We should invite him respectfully."
From another direction came two voices in unison. Izanagi and Izanami, the progenitor gods of the Japanese pantheon, stood holding the Heavenly Jeweled Spear.
As the original creators of the gods of Fusang, their presence was significant. Though the Fusang gods were few and not particularly strong, sending the founding deities—armed with the divine spear Ama-no-Nuboko—was necessary to earn a place here.
Yet the other gods barely looked at them. No one responded. Their gazes held faint contempt. Izanagi and Izanami felt the sting of this disrespect, yet could only harbor their frustration silently.
"In that case, let's settle this with a contest—to determine who has the right to remain here and recruit the newly born Sole God."
Thor raised Mjolnir, surrounded by lightning. His eyes burned with fighting spirit. His battle will surged.
He stood proudly in the void. Lightning crackled wildly around him. Thunder arcs tore through the stars. His crimson cape billowed violently as his will to battle blazed, unruly and fierce.
The surrounding gods grew solemn at his words.
The Mayan god Hercules Lak clenched his arms, bursting with unmatchable strength. His stone-cold expression remained grim as he prepared to engage.
Athena donned her battle armor. Dignified and sharp, she stood firm and unafraid.
Morrigan, the Celtic war goddess, gripped her spear tighter. A mournful but resolute will glimmered in her eyes as she faced the stars.
Horus, god of war, raised his scepter and Ankh. His gaze pierced the void. He was ready.
Izanagi and Izanami split the Heavenly Jeweled Spear in two, standing forward and back. Though their pantheon was weak, they showed no fear of the looming battle.
All around, the gods gripped their divine weapons. Terrifying auras clashed. All eyes focused on Thor. The moment he attacked, war among gods would erupt.
The tension was overwhelming. Wan Tianyi brimmed with a suffocating fighting spirit.
The stars slowed. The brilliance of the galaxy dimmed.
It was as if the galaxy itself had been ignited by the gods' battle lust.
Suddenly, a booming voice shattered the tension, cutting through the heavy air. Thor's blazing will faltered. He turned toward the sound.
A massive figure emerged, like heaven and earth itself. Towering tens of thousands of feet high, his head resembled Mount Tai, his waist like a mountain ridge. His eyes flashed like lightning, his mouth gaped like a blood-red basin, and his teeth resembled swords and halberds. His form seemed to stride from the depths of hell, wielding a giant golden staff, shaking the starry sky.
Clad in golden armor, the cosmos was bathed in gold. A golden crown reflected the starlight.
He held the Ruyi Jingu Bang in one hand. With cloud-traveling boots, he soared across the void.
His golden-fire eyes gleamed like morning stars, blazing with unstoppable fighting will.
His voice roared like a bell, shaking the heavens.
He rested the golden staff across his shoulders, hands gripping either end, stepping into the divine realm. His blazing eyes burned with desire for battle.
"I, your Grandpa Sun, have returned to the heavens!"
"Haha... Who wants to fight?"
"You! All of you come at me!"
(To be continued.)
